Fjörn: Nilavor looks at him questioningly, “This ceremony is important to me and my future, a wonderful lady waits for me but her father does not want us to bethrod. So there might be troubles on the way.” he then continues to talk about his wonderful fiancé, how beauty, kindness, etc.
Now that the group has left the town gates all they could see is the dense packed trees that make way for a dirt trail, they’re is an occasional twitter of birds and rustling of the bushes caused by whatever critters run about. The group now has to pass through the Quivering Forest as a part of there journey.
One of roll a d20 to see how the road through the quivering forest goes.
“ Your fiance is a wonderful lady. Now I understand why you are so eager to return to your home. Rest assured, young master. At least, two deities sent their servants to help your wedding. The higher beings are on your side.” Teresa patiently listens to Nilavor, nodding in agreement. At the same time, she is holding the rein, keeping her eyes on the surroundings in case something is hiding behind those leaves and bushes.
Heidi smiles, but there is no warmth to it, nor the glint in her eyes.
“Star-crossed lovers, a secret ceremony. Lo, there is exquisite suffering to be experienced here. My mistress Loviatar does indeed extend her blessings.”
Vadania spent some little time packing gear, travel packs and other oddments into the rear boot box until it was crammed full. Luckily, he found he could put Teresa's pack and gear under the coachman's seat; safe and secure. Now those riding inside the carriage had a bit of wiggle room instead of riding shoulder to shoulder and hip to hip. "Thank goodness it is summer and the door window panels are off. That should afford those inside with a goodly supply of fresh air on the journey," he thought.
With a nod of satisfaction to himself that all one could do was done, Vadania clambered up onto the roof of the carriage as Teresa shook the reins and the carriage lurched forward, nearly causing the elf to tumble off! He recoverd quickly and found a steadier perch from which to spy the road and woods ahead.
It did not take long to note how rough the ride was becoming. While travelling on the village's cobblestones were bad enough; between the noise and the jolting about, those inside were NOT having a smooth, pleasant trip as the road quickly changed to crushed rock and then to packed dirt with ruts.
For Vadania, being outside 'on top'' was looking better and better with each passing mile.
Glad to free of the driving responsibility, Cyrano, tucks himself into an out of the way place and works on resetting and replenishing any of the items required for his "spells".
Teressa: “ Why thank you for your blessing, it is much appreciated. We need as much as we can get after all the blessing of the parents is one of the most favourable for weddings.”, Nilavor says before turning to face Heidi.
Heidi: “ Of coarse not. Why would my wedding be e secret. Yes, it might not be a grand wedding that my lover wished for and that suitable for our status but we are proud of our love and are willing go through hurdles for it. Also, my father has agreed to our arrangement so really there is nothing to worry about, he is at a higher position than her father but the only problem is he does not have much reach out side the city. Though I really do appreciate your blessing.”, he says with a sincere expression and a determined shine in his eyes.
Using the light spell and colored lights, Fjörn will use his acting to give a bit of entertainment along the bumpy road… “Perhaps a story to ease our travel, I call this one East of the Sun and West of the Moon, a story of enduring love.”
Fjörn: The second you started the story you had Nilavor’s undivided attention. You told a story of romance between a peasant’s dad and a prince who is cursed by his step mother to take the form of a bear. The trails and tribulations that girls goes through save her beloved. As the carriage moves deeper into the forest you notice that there’s something that is moving behind the tree line. As you look closer you notice there wasn’t only one but 3 black clad figures moving through the shrubbery.
Heidi: He tells truth.
Vadania: You also notice a figure (not all 3) as you watch from the roof of the carriage.
Vadania hears the call from within the carriage; thumping the carriage roof in acknowledgement.
"Three? How did I miss the other two?," he asked himself as he crab crawled forward toward Teresa.
Moving close to the cleric's ear, Vadania worked to keep his voice calm and steady. "M'Lady Greenhill, it appears we have some uninvited guests to our little carriage outing. At least THREE dark figures are pacing us beyond the tree line. Try to keep us 'at pace' until something more happens to change our current situation, if you please."
Teresa immediately stops the cart when Fjörn alerts and casts a spell. Standing on the driver's seat and holding her shield, the cleric girl calls out to the approaching figures. “Excuse us for the sudden spell casting, but please identify yourselves. We are peaceful travellers, with no ill intent, only seeking to escort our client to his home!”
Teresa touches the holy symbol hanging from her neck, invoking protection from her goddess. A soft and smooth, water-like aura covers the bodies of the Elf Ranger and the Halfling Paladin.
Emboldening Bond to Vadania and Heidi
As an action, you choose up to 2 willing creatures within 30 ft. of you, creating a magical bond among them for 10 minutes or until you use this feature again. While any bonded creature is within 30 ft. of another, once per turn, they can roll a d4 and add it to an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw they make.
The stopping of the carriage coupled with the shout from Teresa is enough to rouse Cyrano from his nap. He snaps to attention, blinking rapidly as he orientates his freshly woken mind with the situation developing around him.
”There can be no peace, with skulkers in the wood. And I am positively full of ill intent.”
The halfling cracks her whip, the sharp sound echoing through the trees.
”Despair, for the Lash of Loviatar is coming for you. The Paladin of Pain. You may well be able to out run me. I would advise you to try- though I hope you do not.”(Intimidation 21).
The diminutive dominatrix does not make idle threats, and begins tromping toward the shadowy figures lurking amidst the trees, shield raised and whip whistling.

"Little One, you will be the death of me yet," he thinks to himself as he strings his bow and prepares an arrow.
