Emilia quickly gathers her belongings, rushing to grab the bag she hid. Merely a precaution in case the beasts came here. She draws her quarterstaff, trying her best to keep up with the rest of the group.
"Does anyone maybe have a bag of holding we could toss everything in that we need from the cart?" Beshlog asks. "Otherwise... we should probably just leave it if there isn't anything truly vital in there."
""Yes, my magic will not extend to hiding cart tracks. We may put items in my bag of holding if it is essential. If they were a normal beast I would say leave some food for them to keep them busy. It won't work on these. They are intelligent too as the leader gave the order to kill us all in common"
"I can carry my gear. Not sure how much else I could take."
(I don't have the books handy. Could someone please remind me of the encumbrance rules if we're using them. Thanks. And what's on the cart we're trying to take?)

I don't use exact encumberance rules, as long as you aren't carrying an excessive amount of stuff. The cart mostly holds food and supplies that you were supposed to deliver to Rorc. If you keep the supplies, you will be slowed down and more likely to get caught by the Warp-Beasts, but if you leave the stuff, Rorc may fall on hard times. Of note, you could have Demetrius send a message to the capital once you are in Rorc, and send someone to retrive the supplies. From what Artun heard, the beasts didn't seem to care so much about the goods as they did about you.
Artun, a brilliant light flashes overhead as the stars flash you a message in morse code, your way of communicating with the land: The beasts are getting closer, you must hurry. the woods are trying to hold them back, but not for much longer.

"Everyone just grab what you can, and lets go. If it is too much to carry for long, that is fine. It can go in my bag once we are a little bit away." Artan will spend 20 seconds shoving what he can into his bag of holding, and then leaving.
Emilia stops, turning around slightly. "Let's make this fast, yes? I don't know how close those things are from turning us into supper." She mouths off, rushing back to the cart and grabbing a few items to shove them into her bag.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
While running, Emilia makes the foolish mistake and takes care to not catch her feet in her robes. Though, to her dismay and to the expense of her lovely robes, she trips over a notch she couldn't see. "Heavens--!" She exclaims!

heaven indeed. You bang your head on a rock, and everything flashes white for a second. You take 3 Bludgeoning damage. You are also disoriented and cannot think straight. where are you? who are those people at the top of that hill? what is that creature moving towards you. Oh. A warp-beast is here. It is thickly muscled, and scars run down its back and face. Pustules bubble on its sickly green scales
OOC: do y'all wanna engage in combat? If so, would you rather do the everyone rolls a die to see how good they were this combat or would you rather duke it out for real?

You all manage to run at a fast clip, your fear fueling your legs.
Emilia is running along and fails to notice the slope in front of her as she goes tumbling down it. Make a Dex Save.

That thing.
(( I'd be fine engaging in real combat! ))
I am happy for real combat, but also happy to rescue Emilia using Wildshape and flee if that is what others would rather.
