Inge can't recall what she had expected from the Perseverance Monument, but she is pretty sure it hadn't been these perplexing puzzles.
"Well, we got further than the two dead ones got. I think. Maybe? Anyway, Milo, do you want to check if the angels back in the hall look any different than before? I would check it myself except, ah... I kind of forgot what positions we left them in." Her smile is rueful.
"Singing softly. Hmm... I don't know where the wind whispers sweet nothing. What's 'sweet nothing' anyway? Maybe we need to sing the same song as the whistling in the room? Or whistle along with them?" Inge's head hurts a little from the puzzles, and she is just about ready for second breakfast.
Hunteros is struggling to keep up, the last effects of the drug. He's glad the others dont know about his problem, otherwise they might cast him out as a weakness. Other than that (just like inge) He's frustrated. He's a soldier, not a thinker. He was trained for combat not silly puzzles! After racking his brain, he gives up and starts to do maintenance on his weapons.

The final three angels had changed position. One of them is bending backwards a bit with one of her hands thrown outward and one of her knees bent. Another has both her hands raised upwards and moving hip. The last one has only one hand placed on her chest instead of both, while the other is hidden behind her.
Milo relays the position of each angel "There is definitely something going on with the angels. I can't work out what. I was starting to think it was a countdown but they have all moved now and nothing has changed. Unless it was going to trigger the trap if we took too long."
Myrla approaches with Wadi the wooden door, "I know some druids of our conclave were able to reproduce bird sounds. I would consider that sweet nothing and a soft song. But they speak of salvation and currently we don't seem to be in immediate mortal danger. I think we have to be very careful when we open that door." Myrla grips her shield prepares to evade any incoming attack when Wadi tries the door.
Hunteros follows wadi and myrla. he has his spear out and with myrlas shield hopes to stab its face while myrla holds it back with her shield, but we'll see.

Inge also stands ready by the door, hoping there is something to use her glaive on, but sensing there will be more puzzles and angels dancing around. She grins at her own predicament. If I am the one of the ones prophesied to conquer the monument, the prophet may have chosen poorly...
Brix holds Wadi back for a moment. " Let me have a look at this thing first." Brix says.He approaches the door and begins to examine it. He checks around the locks and the frame. He looking for any mechanisms that might pose a threat or indicate that the door opens in a non traditional way. If no issues seem present He will help Wadi open the door. (Wadi posted earlier that they were trying the door)
There appears to be nothing dangerous about the door. It is not locked, but it is a little bit stuck. A hard tug on the handle as the handle turns will open the door.
As soon as the door opens, the sound of howling winds fills the corridor. The room itself is pentagonal with a high ceiling. At the very top of the room, roughly a hundred feet or so, are two bird-like creatures locked in a cage chasing each other. While at a glance they seem to be fighting, it becomes apparent that they are only play-fighting, a mating ritual perhaps. They seem to be the ones responsible for the sound as the sound quietens a bit when they stop moving briefly. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be stopping any time soon.
As the door opens, Hunteros and Wadi can hear something underneath the harsh howling wind. It takes a while to determine, but it sounds like the whistling of a melody. The tune is too garbled by the wind, but it does help in making sense of the instruction on the door.
Milo returns, "I am not sure I have much to offer here. I could try and shoot at the birds to quiet them down but I am not sure if that is the way we are meant to proceed here."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Myrla peeks into the room and up, "What is this? You think this sound only comes from those two? What are they anyway?" She asks and tries to remember if she'd seen or heard anything about such creatures.
(Unsure if this is Nature or History, or something else, but Myrla would have the same +2 for both INT skills: 19 +2 for Nature/History if it applies.)
Despite having a vast knowledge of avians, Myrla doesn't know these birds. They are not native to the area, perhaps even to the entire continent. There is a chance that these birds are creatures of the breach. However, Myrla can tell that these birds are of different species based on how they behave. One of them is brash and aggressive, posturing grandly. The other is soft-looking and slender, very agile. The sounds are definitely coming from the two birds, but it is still a little difficult to determine which bird produces which sound because the sound at the door is somehow muffled and garbled. It is as if the sound passed through a layer of water or thick fog despite the threshold of the room having none of such things on it.
"These creatures do look otherworldly to me. I haven't ever seen anything like them. I do think there are two vastly different creatures in that cage, though. I wonder what we have to do. 'Find me where the wind whispers sweet nothing,'it says. What does that mean? Should we look for a place where it is silent? Or silence them," she points up to the creatures. "But I agree with Milo, I don't think we should harm them." Myrla inspects the floor and walls and decides to step inside unless she finds evidence against that notion (Perception: 10 +4). Once inside, she'll walk around in a circle looking into the five corners of the chamber.
Untying the rope he says "I'm glad that worked." Walking down the south cooradoor, he reads the plaque. "Can anybody sign softly?"
