"A Hive of Scum and Villainy" That could be the only thing to describe Mos Eisley, Then again; It can't be all that bad. It hides people from the law, Bounty Hunters are a different story. Overall though, not a horrible place. The Empire Remnants are annoying though. Someone should deal with them. Could you?
This is a PBP here on D&D Beyond starring the wonderful world that is Star Wars.
Thanks to the Great Website that is sw5e.com we can make the characters with alot more ease.
Notice: I don't own Star Wars, George Lucas and Disney do.
Big Star Wars fan! I would love to play in this - and I think the Imperial Remnants period is a really rich field to play in.
Here's my proposed character. I could dial up or down on the cheek, but I thought this was a fun way to go.
Character Name:
B1-234; he also goes by 234, Bee Dee, and Clank
Character Race:
Droid (Independent B1 Battle Droid)
Character Background:
Soldier
Character Backstory (2-5 Sentences long):
From a certain point of view, the Separatist Army was the first Rebel Alliance. B1 had been from one side of the galaxy to the other, and he had seen a lot of strange stuff. But he had never seen anything to make him believe that one all-powerful organization should be controlling everything. He had fought the Republic with the Separatists. He had fought the Empire with the Alliance. And now he found himself at a loss. The New Republic certainly was not in control of everything. And the Imperial Remnants, while they held a stranglehold on a few systems and were quite annoying, really were not much of a hegemony anymore. So for the first time in a long time, B1 found himself as a free agent.
Reason for Being in Mos Eisley:
He had considered settling down. Buying a little moisture farm and living out his days in peace. But in this economy and the interest rates that the New Republic prime Galactic Reserve had set, he would lose his shirt on the mortgage. Plus, he didn’t like sand. It’s coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.
So after a disappointing meeting with the real estate agent who had taken him across the Dune Sea to check out a little place that had been abandoned since the Battle of Yavin, he found himself in a cantina in Mos Eisley, in one of the few places that served his kind, nursing a power converter while he mulled over his future.

playing Jin Wei, human (Kara-tur) way of the Four Elements Monk in the Princes of the Apocalypse
Character Backstory (2-5 Sentences long): Karr was trained as a warrior, but decided he wanted to take the risk. Train as a Gladiator in exchance for freedom and maybe advancement in social rank. In battle he fights with a cold rage, seeking enemy weak points.
Reason for Being in Mos Eisley: He was contracted to fight in the gladiatorial arena of Jabba the Hutt. Then Jabba got killed by the rebels. Now Karr is looking for odd jobs that require muscle.
(I had trouble adding skills and the explorers pack to the character. And are we using point buy, or rolling stats here?)
Character Backstory (2-5 Sentences long): Most jawas collect devices, or parts of devices. Plihvu was always drawn to collect knowledge. Information. A lot harder to steal, but people tend to react less violently to your taking it.
Sometimes.
Reason for Being in Mos Eisley: What better place to find stuff out? If there is one, no jawa's ever been there, that's for sure.

Famh Thrawn Fiadhaich - 'half elven' sorcerer (wild magic) 2, Sleeping Gods - A Dragon Warriors campaign in the Lands of Legend
Quspira Inirali - tiefling cleric (Life domain) 4, Painted's "He'll be the father of my child"
Antar al'Barmeqi - goblin warlock (The Genie: Marid) 1, THE MOON OF THORNS
Sae Ivui Nailo - wood elf rogue (inquisitive) 5 - Sea of Death: Captain Hailstorm's Lost Treasure
Theris Dionte, shadar-kai rogue 1, Born of Stormmount
Character Backstory (2-5 Sentences long): Misuni was born force-sensitive and never knew her mother, and while she did receive some training from her father, he was an ambitious man in the time of the Empire and was assassinated for it while she was still young. After that she was alone for a while and fending for herself before by a stroke of luck she got her claws on a tiny starship and proceeded to find a lifepath of running errands and delivering covert messages as and small scale transport of goods, since she has a tendency to put the highest bidder ahead of loyalty aswell as taking jobs even when the client has had known empire-associations, and a few records of suspected smuggling and numerous small local crimes, shes landed herself in hot water a fair number of times.
Reason for being in Mos Eisley: You know, the usual. Took some job, a competitor to the client didn't like that, some old dirt got dug up and some other drama occurred. And Mos Eisley just happened to be the furthest stop in range...quite a coincidence really. Say, I've been here for a while now and there doesn't happen to be any local well-paying jobs in the down-low is there? Like, very local. As one could say my current situation is a bit grounded, I'm not saying I've shipped salvage in better condition than my ship is in, but the old hunk of junk has seen better days.... possibly only better days.
Character Backstory (2-5 Sentences long): Drace was born and raised on a spice freighter in the outer rim. Since his mother died in child birth, it was up to his father; a Jedi survivor of order 66 and the imperial times; to bring him up. Drace was taught the ways of the force, but ultimately rejected the narrow-minded view of the Jedi. He embraces all aspects of the force. Having grown up around the undesirables of the galaxy, he is well versed in the criminal world and has no problems with skirting the law or just outright breaking it.
Reason for Being in Mos Eisley: He figures this is a good place to get some work and earn some credits, while staying under the radar of that Jedi, Skywalker.
Character Background: Mercenary, freelance gunslinger/fighter.
Character Backstory (2-5 Sentences long): Worked as a mercenary for whatever group will hire. "Helped" out the rebels for a couple retreval missions (got paid). Very much an in it for the money person. Has a few friends/contacts that she would help without pay, but they would owe her a favor (no ideas for who these people are yet and it can be DM choice). Would help out with removing the Empire remnants for a price or a very good reason.
Reason for Being in Mos Eisley: Lots of job opportunities for hired guns.
Character Backstory (2-5 Sentences long): Klev grew up on Sorgan and joined the imperial army in order to get off-world and escape the boring life of a krill farmer. He spent ten years as an imperial trooper but saw very little action. Mostly he found himself assigned to guard detail or sorting out local criminal mischief and enforcing curfews. He saw one engagement to put down a pocket of rebellion that left him wounded and in turn opted out of reenlisting. Using the only skills he had he took on as a trawler on the estuary moon on Trask. There he lived a hard but simple life.
Reason for Being in Mos Eisley: Klev found himself in hot water after borrowing a large sum of calamari flan from a loan shark. Unable to pay his debts, he was forced into service as muscle on a corsair that frequented the outer rim. On one of these unfortunate adventures, his captain, and the one he was indebted to, met an unfortunate end in a bar brawl. This happened six months ago on the desert planet of Tatooine. Odd jobs have kept him afloat, but he’s getting tired of the heat and tired of being broke.
Friends, just letting you know this thread is dead. The content needed to run this module was lost and the author has requested I share that with the group. See ya space cowboys.
Is there still interest in this game? We are thinking about making an attempt with me as DM and are looking for 2-3 more players.
If you are interested, please post a brief character pitch here. This isn't about crafting the perfect backstory or detailing every skill — think of it as the exciting trailer for your character. Here's what to include:
Basic Concept: Picture your character in broad strokes. What species are they? What's their job in the galaxy? Imagine saying, "In a galaxy far, far away, my character is a..." and fill in the blanks. This is your character's headline!
Role in the Group: Every hero in a story has their specialty. Tell us about yours. Are you the group's charming diplomat, the ace pilot, the cunning tech wizard, or the brave front-line warrior? This helps us see how you'll shine in our adventures together.
Personality Trait: Share a spark of what makes your character truly them. Are they always cracking jokes, even in danger? Do they have a heart of gold, or are they as mysterious as the dark side of the moon? This little glimpse into their personality helps us all start imagining the fun interactions and growth your character will experience.
Unique Element: What's something that sets your character apart? A hidden past, a rare ability, an unusual ally, or even a personal quest? This is a peek into what makes your character's story intriguing and unique.
Story Goals: Everyone has dreams, even in a galaxy far, far away. What does your character hope to achieve or discover? This helps me, as your DM, weave your personal stories into our hopefully epic saga.
Example Pitch
Lando Calrissian is a smooth-talking Human Scoundrel with a knack for getting into and out of trouble with a smile. At his core, Lando is a charismatic gambler and businessman, always looking for the next big score or advantageous deal. He thrives in social settings, using his charm and wit to negotiate and manipulate, making him an invaluable asset in diplomatic situations or high-stakes negotiations. Despite his self-preserving nature, Lando has a strong sense of loyalty to his friends, often risking his own skin to help them out of a tight spot. His unique element is his connection to the Cloud City of Bespin, providing him with resources, contacts, and a home turf advantage when needed. Lando's story goal is to amass enough wealth and power to ensure his independence and protect those close to him, all while navigating the moral complexities of a galaxy torn by conflict.

Thanks for telling us.
Course, I re-watched Attack of the Clones for nothing.
Anyone interested in round robin-ing the gming for this? I can’t commit to running another game full time but I could do a story here or there.
