He will try. And he will take one of the potions, if you are offering.
The large house is brand new. A few months old and made of wood. The remaining homes are mostly rubble, with 2-4 feet up foundation left standing.
The Herbalist Shop (Alchemy Shop) is the small 5 ft by 10 ft building, East of where you are standing, the fourth building you reach if you travel straight through the brush.
”Depending how smoothly this goes, maybe you could lead us to sneak up on the dragon’s abode. If we can catch it unawares, we might stand a chance. How does everyone else feel about it?”
Vex looks at the map that Reidoth provided and suggests, "Go south along building line, maybe avoid anything in town."
"For dragon, would like to speak to first, maybe I can make friend. Risky as greens not normally friendly, but this young one yes? Might become friend if hurt or need help. With Dorah's help might convinvce green to not attack, just in case be ready if you see me scamper for life." Vex laughs as he makes the suggestion.
“That sounds good. If this all works right, Jyin could Guidance you just before you announce yourself. I could Bless you, Dorah, and Reidoth at the same time Jyin casts. The moment you expend the Guidance, Jyin could Bless Daewen, himself and me. We all would be covered just in case this goes sideways. Obviously this depends on us being able to potion up, sneak up, and us being out of sight for your conversation.”
Guidance lasts for 1 min, once before the spell ends add +1d4 to a skill check.
Potion of Poison Resistances lasts for 1 hour
Pass without a trace lasts for 1 hour
Reidoth will start this leg of the adventure off by casting [Tooltip Not Found] on himself, which grants everyone within 10 feet of him to add +10 to their dexterity stealth checks

It seems safe to explpore, for now
If you remember the instructions, you search behind the counter for a loose floor board, and find a small metal box. Insode is a fist sized emerald on a necklace chain (200 gp)
Leaving the shop, we will need all new stealth checks.
also some direction. Are we going to fight the zombies and twig blights? Are we just going to leave with the necklace? Let me know.
I thought Reidoth was either the creator, or at least was utilizing, the twig blights and zombies to protect his home. Did I misread? Would he appreciate us “cleaning up his town”?
I vote we take the emerald necklace with us, whether to bribe or stall the dragon (assuming green dragons crave treasure).

No problem, it's pieced together by multiple sections of the adventure. Let me try to paint a picture, fill in the gaps.
Reidoth is old. Fantasy old, age undetermined. He looks good for his age.
50 years ago, there was a volcanic eruption many miles from Thundertree and an earthquake that destroyed the foundations of most of the buildings in Thundertree. As a result of the combo Earthquake+Volcano, Ash Zombies were either formed from the undead corpses being unearthed due to the earthquake mixing with volcanic ash or, the zombies were trapped by a previous volcanic eruption, being covered by ash and the earthquake unearthed them. Both can be true but it's a mystery as to their origin because no one knows.
Either way, there are a large group of Ash Zombies unearthed, closer to the volcano and when Reidoth was 50 years younger, he caught these ash zombies wandering around and corrupting his section of the woods. Only the section that he is dedicated to protect, druid guardian stuff. I Reidoth of the druids hereby declare this section of the Neverwinter Woods under my protection and I will spend each year, wandering around, bringing balance as a Guardian of Nature, but just to my little 15 square mile section that I have arbitrarily declared under my guardianship.
After attempted to fight some of these zombies but failing to dispatch them quickly and safely, he chose to lure them into Thundertree, since the humans living there mostly scattered and left once their homes were ruined and those that stayed were driven out by the Ash Zombies who were agitated by the natural phenomenon, leaving Thundertree abandoned.
Thundertree was an obvious choice to trap zombies, since the foundation is quite high on most of the houses and they can easily be trapped inside the ruins.
Twig Blights are another story. While scouting around his druidic region, he found these naturally corrupted plants. Plants that have been imbued with evil, either due to wild magic or even an evil druid playing tricks by awakening plants in his region. Either way, Reidoth feels conflicted when faced with destroying them with fire. He knows that these twig blights are easily taken care of by burning them, but since he was wrangling ash zombies, a few twig blights started following him, so now he is in the business of trapping twig blights as well.
As for the Giant Spiders, you can find them all throughout the woods and they are part of the natural fauna for the region. They are too agile to be concerned with the Zombies and twig blights and until recently, as in 3-4 weeks ago, they were nesting in the Tower at the top center of the map.
That's when a Young Adult Green Dragon swooped in and claimed the tower for herself, killing most of the Giant Spiders, and nesting in the tower, possibly pregnant and soon to lay dragon eggs.
If you offer to clean up the town, Reidoth would accept the offer saying, "Either way is fine for me. As a Druid, this is my duty. If you dispatch the Ash Zombies and Twig Blights, it would leave me more time to focus on my woodland friends. And if you were to dispatch the Dragon, I would never have to return to this cursed town again."
I thought Reidoth was either the creator, or at least was utilizing, the twig blights and zombies to protect his home. Did I misread? Would he appreciate us “cleaning up his town”?

Absolutely, Green Dragons crave treasure and one the age of a Young Adult, definitely has a horde up in the tower.
“Well now I’m torn. At first I was thinking Vex could bribe the dragon to leave with the emerald, but would it be right to just relocate this evil? And do you really expect to ‘befriend’ an evil dragon? To convince the leopard to change its spots? I don’t know. I’m asking. And since we’ve already quaffed the potions, we better deal with the dragon first. We don’t dare get caught up exhausting ourselves before facing the most clear and present danger.”
OOC: since time is of the essence, perhaps we should just head straight to the dragon? I’m not too sure we’d stand a chance, though. Would Reidoth join us in the inevitable fight? If we do decide to go straight there, Daewen would drink her potion of invisibility and sneak in.

I get the feeling that Reidoth does not have his heart set on fighting a dragon. He won't drink one of the potions and plans to run and hide if he sees the beast.
Vex suggests moving straight to the dragon, but then the group as silently as they can take up defensible positions around the area, not entirely circling the dragon but spread out a little bit. Vex will then move towards and obvious opening with Dorah clinging to his back, and "enter" the area. Making sure try and keep his body covered at least a little bit, or make sure a place to dive for cover is close by. He will then call out to the dragon and seek an audience, at which point will wait for the dragons response, if the dragon appears to take any hostile action Vex will call out to attack, otherwise he will continue the conversation.
Sound good to everyone?

Wilhorn absolutely offers one to Reidoth.

Vex thinks for a moment, "Probably no work, was going to approach and talk, now think better talk from hiding, see how reacts."
So, in general, you want to wait for the dragon? Head to the tower and attempt to surprise the dragon? or do something else?
