I am searching for 6 players to join me as we adventure in an unconventional re-imagination of one of D&D’s classic dungeons: Dungeon of the Mad Mage. In this adventure, you are a group of level 20 adventurers who have penetrated the depths of the dungeon, and are about to confront the final boss of it: the former group of adventurers known as the Rune-Lords, who are led by Halaster the mad mage. Through plot early in the story, you will become inflicted with a horrible curse, which will drain your vitality, memory, & power until you are slain, your bodies rising as undead abominations in service to the new lord of Undermountain. In mechanical terms, this will cause you to lose levels, and if you do not escape the dungeon in time, you will be overtaken by the affliction.
WHAT TYPE OF GAME IS THIS? This game will be a dungeon crawl with a heavy emphasis on dungeon exploration and combat. In the game, you will face exclusively undead foes, save for exactly four enemies. This is a race against time, if you do not escape in time, you will fail. KEEP IN MIND: in this game, you will not gain levels, you will lose them instead due to the curse. BUT, and there is a but, powerful planar entities have taken an interest in the events going on below Waterdeep, and you will have the chance to make deals with them for homebrew powers, as well as you will gain cool magic items. If you are accepted, we can discuss what house rules (if any) you would like to use. Overall, I am looking for a group of people willing to engage with a story and have fun playing powerful characters who are trying to escape a terrible fate
-Level: Start at level 20. Multiclass to your hearts desire.
-Ability Scores: Roll in this thread, reroll ones always. If you do not like your scores, you can reroll ALL of them ONCE. You MUST use the second set.
-Materials: You can use any published book for character creation. In addition, you can use any third party materials as long as they are on DBB (which sadly means no Kobold Press).
-Feats: if you choose a background that does not give you a bonus feat, you gain a bonus feat. Any background will do as long as you can make it fit within the world.
-On divine characters (clerics, paladins): In this game, all of the enemies save exactly four are undead. This means that divine characters are exceptionally powerful, and so, if you chose to play one, the aformentioned planar powers might take a special interest in trying to curropt you to their side
-On arcane characters (wizards, sorcerers, bards, warlocks): After you defeat the Rune-Lords, magic will start to become...interesting and may have some fun (for me or you) reprecussions.
-On martial characters (barbarians, fighters, monks, rangers): don't worry, I will not let you fall behind. I will definitely give you some cool powers and abilities so you don't feel like you aren't doing anything at high levels
-On primal characters (barbarians, rangers, druids): Rangers, I implore you, if you insist on using base PHB ranger, choose undead and cave for your natural explorer and favored enemy options, These are the ONLY two options which will be applicable in the game.

Sounds magnificent! I’m thinking of either a sort of control/tank Druid or an undead warlock of Vecna (would the Eye and Hand count as one artifact?)
Dude look it up if it goes in artifact class its a artifact thank you for the application sir or madam

No need to be rude, I was asking because it’s listed as one artifact but functionally, they work as two separate artifacts and i don’t know how the DM would rule it.
