Btw, if you saw random rolls from me, that's because I was testing out the character dice roller (never played a campaign on DnD Beyond) and also generating the trinkets based on my Feylost background. Trinkets are in my possessions. Strangely, the trinkets were mentioned in the entry of the background, but not actually given during the creation process.
I misspoke. I adjusted Balen's race to the MMotM version of changeling (as opposed to the ERftLW version which we not be using in this tale).
@SunDial365, you will have to reallocate a language slot for Balen. It looks like the only difference is one less spoken language. That, and in the MMotM version you can designate small or medium size. I selected medium for you when I did the swap, but you may of course, adjust this.
Okay cool. I added Goblin for the language slot. And medium size is good.

Okay, the world presents some problems and we don't know what to do / You've come to find your feelings aren't exactly what you knew.
Chin up! / Don't bet on sinking ships because they'll turn your chips to trash. / You've got to set your sights and hopes on setting not to crash!
The truth can seem quite bleak if you don't make your plans unfurl / But I would not let that mar my opinion of the world!

Elvish, no? That's what the sheet is showing.
oh weird. Originally I set it for that and changed it before I made the post. Maybe it needed time to load. Try to reload the page. Hopefully it's fixed now

I'd prefer if we started tomorrow if that's possible
Today? Tomorrow? It's all the same out here in PbP-land. I wouldn't get too worried. If folks need a day or two to reply to a post that is perfectly fine by me.
Playing this game in an asynchronous manner is one of the main selling points of a PbP venue.
I just ask that folks post when they can. Even a quick one liner is ok sometimes. Conversely, if folks know that they will be out-of-contact for an extended amount of time (say ... longer than 2-3 days) then just let me know. We all have real lives, family commitments, weekend camping trips, visiting relatives, vacations, etc.
Real life will always trump this game.
I do ask, however, that folks let me know if they know ahead of time that they aren't going to be able to post for an extended amount of time. When we get into situations like that, the game will proceed, and I will do something with the character that makes narrative sense that accounts for the short term absence of the player (e.g. bench the character or have them be 'off screen' for a bit pursuing other tasks, NPC them in the current scene for a short time, etc).
I'll gladly work around a player's Real Life schedule if I have a heads up ... and it goes without saying ... having a heads up is far, far more preferable than being gone for a week and having me wonder if that player has ghosted.
... but he could shift to being part of the militia if that works better. Or being attached to the militia could be part of the Penance.
No thank you. I think it works better if Yaudara is not directly reporting to / working for the town militia. The rank equivalencies will stand, but Yaudara is not technically in this particular chain of command.
Ichep finally ready for checking. Switched from my original plan (wizard) to a cleric, took me much longer than anticipated.
No worries on swapping the class, you had mentioned in the sales pitch that the character was likely one or the other. I feel like the character concept work well either way.
Take another look at Ichep's spells. You have selected Toll the Dead twice (once due to allocation, and once due receiving Toll the Dead via her divine domain).
Icehp can prepare an additional known spell as well. The formula for prepared spells is WIS+Cleric lvl+Domain Spells (so, in this instance, 6 prepared spells with two of them already being defined by the domain).
^^ Negligible difference. Don't let that affect your choice, Miglasezis. This is a frontier land, after all. Folks, especially the weird ones, will be judged on what they do and how they do it ... not necessarily what their 23-and-me test looks like.
For the folks that have had their PCs reviewed, I have some questions. Just things that I think would be neat if they were brought into focus. These are just roleplaying fluff questions ... so there are no wrong answers, and it's totally cool if you need to think on it a bit.
@SunDial365, Balen has a pretty good reason to dislike pirates. Please name the pirate captain mentioned in Balen's backstory. What distinctive pirate injury did this pirate have? (eyepatch, hook for a hand, peg leg, etc) What was the name of the vessel that Balen called home as a youngling?
@Bird94, Yaudara is an earth genasi. Some genasi are direct descendants of a genie, while others are born to non-genasi parents who live near a place suffused by a genie’s magic. Can you tell me which you had in mind for Yaudara? Basically, who are his people? Lastly, can you tell me how Yaudara felt the calling to become a paladin? Was it always his goal, and then he pursued a profession of arms in order to see it done? Or was it something that happened to him — or something that he felt called to do — well after becoming a soldier?
@Samhain28164, Faen is off to a great start with the 'To Do' list you have given yourself. I owe you some answers. Here they are:
Faen was kidnapped, and raised in civilized, if emotionally distant, sort of captivity by an enigmatic Fey Lord named Cantatrix, the Autumn Regent of the Evergreen Court. Regent Cantatrix's seeming appears as a 12' tall androgynous elf of undetermined gender with shimmering silver hair that — regardless of the actual light — always seems to be awash with the light of a setting sun. Their amber-gold eyes blaze with power and hold a hint of mischief and ancient wisdom. They wear robes woven from moonbeams and gold-red autumn leaves, adorned with intricate patterns of glowing runes.
Regent Cantatrix has never told Faen the whys and wherefores of his abduction ...
The Faerie Dragon that visits Faen from time to time often dreamspeaks with him about finding a pair of artifacts named the Starlight Scepter and the Thrice Told Amulet. Faen does not know what they are, what they do, or why they are important. He knows only that the Faerie Dragon seems to believe these items once belonged to the Fey Lords of the Evergreen Court — were lost long ago, locations unknown — and that the Autumn Regent would do anything to see them returned.

Fantastic :)
No worries here. Folks can mess around with the die roller if they want.
Once we begin play, I'll be a little more strict with folks if extraneous rolls start cluttering up the game log.

Thank you for that. Balen was already GO, so now Balen is ... ahem ... A GOGO!!

That must be it.
The DDB sheet shows goblin, the .pdf was showing Elvish. I bet after a recent edit, it just takes a moment before everything is in agreement.
In any event ... goblin it is.

Perfect. I like that better, too.
Ichep finally ready for checking. Switched from my original plan (wizard) to a cleric, took me much longer than anticipated.
Having a cleric and paladin around, along with my bard makes me think we might actually have a chance of surviving given all the healing potential.
Just gotta make sure we are careful about context clues and not step into any hexes with a dragon too early on.
Our group is fast approaching holier-than-thou status. :)

Hey! My half orc was originally a full orc. What would you guys want running along side your pcs? Gentle giant or sth smaller?
I'm good either way. Full orc could make for some challenging interactions with the townsfolk.

Then I'm going full orc. Big, menacing and very gentle/pacifist orc
Glad to hear it. I'm liking how there are complimentary opposites setting themselves up within the characters.
