Hi, I’m looking for 5 players who would like to play the Crit Role adventure - Frozen Sick, a short adventure that takes place in the arctic regions of The Greying Wildlands and Eiselcross in the continent of Wildemount.
*Note: you don’t have to have watched CR campaign 2 in order to understand this adventure, but it might make it more interesting to you if you have.
____________________________________________
Something is killing people in Palebank Village, and if the characters don’t stop it, they might be next.
____________________________________________
The adventure starts at level 1, and you might want to make a character that has resistance to cold damage or weighs very little, because you will be travelling through extreme cold and across thin ice. By the end of it, you will have progressed to level 3, and if I will do some one shots afterwards such as Lightning Keep, Prisoner 13, Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan, etc.
When creating your character, make sure use character options that are only from the following books: PHB, DMG, TCoE, XGtE, EGtW, MP:MotM, VGtM, EEPC. Feel free to be a Blood Hunter if you want. You can use rolled, point buy, or standard array for your ability scores.
The first 5 people to submit dndbeyond character sheets that make up a balanced party will get in (i.e. first two people to submit a warrior, first person to submit a spellcaster, first person to submit a scoundrel, first person to submit a healer)
If you wish you join the campaign, please post a comment in this format:
Backstory: A relatively new member of an ancient religious order of healers, Doter has been sent out into the Greying Wildlands to expand their catalog of knowledge regarding exotic herbs that treat frost-born aliments and how to apply them. While he is a: competent warrior, considerable academic, and, excellent cook, he's very aware of his gifts and less so of his limitations. There have been more than a few days spent resting off an over stretch muscle or a strain related injury.
This is his chance to prove that he can humble himself before the world, and survive the exchange of knowledge they've tasked him with.
Backstory: Perhaps Ulysse is friends with Doter meeting in passing and became friends over tbe years. Knowing the cold nature of this trek, and the firey tendency of Ulysse, decided to travel together and explore the fridged tundra. Ulysse is afraid of the dark however...
Class (Subclass): Warlock (Hexblade) | I intend to play her as a "warrior" archetype.
Background: Inheritor
Alignment: Neutral
Backstory:
Camille's fate was sealed on the day of her 15th birthday, when the mark appeared on her hand. A rather innocuous symbol - a pair of concentric circles, one only a half circle, with an arrow drawn straight through the center of both - but one which marked her as the family's next Seeker. From that moment on the clock started ticking down for her. She had 10 years to fulfill the ancient pact. 10 years to accomplish what none of her ancestors had managed to. 10 years to live.
The first year she spent diving into her family's history, searching for clues to the origins of the Pact, and for what exactly it was she was supposed to seek. For the next three she left her home in Rexxentrum, chasing down leads that might give her answers. She scoured the Menagerie Coast Ultimately however, she returned to home empty-handed.
Months after she returned home, she was struck by a vision: a pestilence of death spreading in the far north - A shrill, layered voice pierces her mind with a command: CONTAIN. The vision snaps to another scene, of a small village near Uthodorn. A second command echoes in her mind: SEEK. After the shock wore off, Camille meticulously detailed both of the visions in a journal to leave for future generations of the Elworn family before preparing to leave Rexxentrum once more.
Backstory: Boil grew up on a farm and was happy until his village was raided and they were forced to move. They settled again and were raided again. This continued till there was only a small group left over and they decided that farming would just get them killed and that they wanted to raid. Boil was more interested in growing things and making people happy but he didnt want to be alone so he decided to fight but would also heal his friends. Boil found his faith in the one they call Monkey and calls on him to help when needed.
Backstory: Jahn was born in a cave in the Marrow Valley. Their parents were explorer's traveling with a caravan. At a young age, Jahn's mother went missing mysteriously while their father was abducted by the Kryn Dynasty as they were riskfully exploring in Xhorhas for artifacts. Jahn and their 2 siblings took jobs very young to fend for themselves on Zadash, Jahn being good with their hands and taking-up a job crafting wagons as a carpenter. As they got older, they've experienced visions of a light that destined them for greatness and to set off into the world. Holding love for their empire in their heart as well as the Dawnfather Jahn goes to explore the world.
I'd be up for this dynamic. The monk subclass I'm aiming for is big on healing/herbs/nature so it'd make good sense that Doter would've bumped into Ulysse as either a hermit/druid. They're also both reptilian humanoids so there's that too.

Hi! I'm really new to DnD and I've been eager to find a campaign to join so if you're willing to have me I'd love to take part!
Name: Ariakara (Aria for short)
Race: Half-Elf
Class (Subclass): Rogue
Background: Haunted One (Feat: Heart of Darkness)
Alignment: Neutral Good
Backstory: Having lost everything she ever cared about and left for dead, Aria secretly took her revenge on the person immediately responsible. With their blood on her hands, she has been on the run ever since hoping that her people believe her to be dead---although she was never treated as one of them in the first place. One day she will return and expose the truth of what happened that night and lay ruin to the man who caused it all. Believing death follows her, she is not inclined to share her story or get too close to anyone, but still she protects those around her as her own way of trying to atone for her sins and failures in the past.

Quick question Cryptbloom, do you have a name for your custom lineage race? You didn’t say anything about that in Camille’s backstory. Is she a human that has darkvision because of the “Mark of the Seeker”?

Her family is human with elvish mixed in. Not enough to make her a half-elf, but there's a Sylvan accent to her features.

I have also added you all to a PM group which is for OOC discussions. I accidentally named it Lightning Keep lol. Wrong adventure. Can’t edit it.
