Fah'lin rides Maeran-Cadail as he practices his flute *whistle-squeak-chirp-toot* "Maybe I'll save that for another time." He looks over his companions steeds and praises their selections.
As the Centaurs appear he brings Cadail to a stop and looks back. "Unicorns. I've read of them in your books. Very dangerous. You've already obtained such fine mounts. Should we leave these majestic creatures be?"
"Good morning my friends," Gijigume greets the centaurs, "what can you tell us of the road?"
“Greetings. There has been word of entire caravans found dead with all the blood sucked out of them during the last week” there is a small commotion as Arya seems to have found a silver piece in the ear of one of the colts. He continues “Whatever this is seems to be moving towards Neverwinter.”
Asking about you hear of a very interesting place, Moonstone Mask. Something called 'The Spellplague' struck Neverwinter and parts of the city started to float away. Some enterprising people tied tethers to Moonstone Mask and there it is, an Inn floating in the sky over the Protector's Enclave District.
You travel to Moonstone Mask and find that to get up to it you use a gondola that runs up cables to the front door. Inside you are greeted by the proprietor, Liset Cheldar a middle aged human woman with rusty red hair. A room (two per room) is 4gp per night which also includes meals.
Fah'lin brings Cadail into the stable, choosing a stall near the back end of the building. He makes sure the latch is set in a way that allows her escape if she wishes. "Keep an eye on the others for me. They could benefit from you looking after them."
Inside he pays for the rooms, "Lovely, thank you, Liset." He'll stay a minute and ask about life in a flying inn, and "Does it get unnerving when its windy?" He listens to Loser and the other guests hoping to determine the extant of the damage wrought by Tloques' escape, and how far he has reached, as well as any other troubles the people may suffer. He probably starts or spreads a few rumors of his own... "Great unicorn migration?"
... He looks over his companions steeds and praises their selections. ...
(This is me being not-subtle: Tell us about your selection! I've been hanging out with you guys for months and I know nothing about Thar, Aeliarin, or Gijigume, or the people playing them. Who are you!)

There is talk of something horrible up north, if all the stories where true the lands would be empty of people by now so most of it is probably exaggerated. However, something did destroy at least one caravan leaving bloodless corpses. The trouble has not made its way to Neverwinter but stoped to the north near Bijela šljunka Planina, the vampire’s ancient lair.
whenever you say ‘unicorn’ a young someone gets giggle fits.

I am Les (your not so humble DM) from Australia and I’ve been playing since Abvanced Dungeons & Dragons was a thing, with breaks here and there. I’m 62 years old (an old fart) and am now retired. I ran 3e and 4e games pbem for a decade before they went the way of all things and when 5e came out I got interested again so here we are.
I'm Ben. I live in Southern California, and I'm 34. I'm a father of 2 pre-school girls, and I work on highway electronics. My position is much beyond full time but working alone, with minimal supervision, and extensive travel affords a lot of flexibility.
I played 2e briefly before 3e, but mostly I played Neverwinter Nights *gasp*! The reason for that is that my real life friends are flakes. I stopped in at Wizards of the Coast when they had shops in the mall. I tried to find a 4e PHB and found four handbooks divided roughly by party role or something. I tried to make sense of the nonsence within. A few months later I did the same thing again with the same result. I never touched 4e beyond that, until recently. It's still nonsense.
You may already have a sense of who Fah'lin is. His behavior in general is roughly shaped by this campaign. I feel like I dropped him in the world a bit unfinished, I'd originally planned to make him Dragonborn, which influenced his voice and attitude, but I decided to make him human here. He lost a lot from that change. Instead he ended up with my voice and my sense of humor =/
You may know, he comes from a small village far to the east where his people fight an endless war to defend the world from some evil that surfaces there. He's on a quest to find the power to finally end that war, but he's finding something more on the way.
Aeliarin gives them a friendly salute and a smile.
