Sathalvir eyes Shalech quizzically. "Not sure, friend. My first introduction to the town was an old man, too light on his feet, and too quick to be old, rushing out the door of a dark and black building." He giggles. "Never seen an old man outpace the wind before—Not without reason," he says, as more of a question.
The wood elf you see before you perhaps has seen better days, but those days are gone. He's as filthy as a muddy river, wild as an overgrown vegetable garden. His wheat-colored hair is nappy and under torchlight the dense thicket appears to double as a seed store—his snacks whenever he has a craving. The calm depth of his misty green eyes suggests a fellowship with nature, and disappointment with civilization. He carries a bow, sword, quiver, and a mindset of curiosity.
Shalech informs Sathalvir, "That would be Tamm. He's a thief and a bully too. If he came anywhere near you, check to make sure you have all your belongings."
Sathalvir checks his belongings, expecting to find everything in order. He paws through his belt pouch. Not that he carries a lot of coin. He pats himself down. His organs all seem to be in their proper place. He checks his quiver, smiling. "Everything—" He pauses. His fingers tap through the arrow count. His eyes narrow. He shakes his head. "Like a spider in the night. Aye, friend. I am missing three arrows." More can be made. They are after all, just arrows. Why would he need them? Why my arrows?
Shall he be the first to say it? "Damn that Tamm."
"I doubt you'd be the first to curse Tamm. In any case, please excuse us, we are heading out to meet a necromancer's apprentice and I'm expecting trouble so I'm too preoccupied to make small talk." Shalech nods to Sathlavir and adds, "Unless you were sent by Dar to give us some more support?"
"Too busy for small talk? What else keeps the hours lit, poised for purpose?" Sathalvir steps aside. He finds a seat. "Dar did not send me. We have not met."
Sathalvir, moments after the old man flies by, a large seven foot tall muscular man runs passed as well; followed by an older gentleman in plain gray and faded black breeches, shirt, and coat. He curses with vile intent. You also notice your quiver feels lighter.
(Sathalvir needs to pay more attention to his quiver's weight, lol)
"If you are not here for any specific purpose and are looking for one, we are heading out of town to talk to a Hermit to try and make some headway on un-encrypting a necromancer's journal. Or I believe Urselles here, "Shalech points, "is going to try and find a way to improve the lot of the people of Northbank."
“I’ll be meeting up with Normand from the church, it was truly nice for once that they didn’t immediately stole or killed for my priestly robes” Urselles has a small but sad smile on her face, then it changes to more of a smile as she continues “I’ll also be looking for anythinfo I can find on this Lich King, catching and forcing people to do your bidding is unacceptable” Urselles sounds a bit angry

Interesting that the old man lifted a few arrows from Sathalvir's quiver. I do hope he does take good care of them. They are marked in a unique way, and should he use them, the wood elf will know where's he's been.
It may seem a trivial thing, but hunters in the woods take precautions. We claim our kills, respectfully.
"Urselles, tell me more of this lich king and the people it has enslaved." The words sizzle with contempt for the undead on the wood elf's lips. "All creatures should be free," says Sathalvir stoically.
“We don’t know much about this Lich king but, he’s basically trying to force people to work with him by threatening there lifes, it’s truly an awful thing to do”

"The undead defy the natural world. The body does not return to the earth to help new life come into being. The undead take and do not give back. Foul, loathsome creatures." Sathalvir ponders this moment, the sound of destiny, whispers on the wind.
Sathalvir thinks back on his studies in the forest under the great druid's wisdom, the great ranger's tutelage. Did either impart wisdom or knowledge that would help guide his next step?
OOC. Should I make a History, Perception, or Arcana check?

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Anyone paying attention to Croak will notice his jaw slightly drop, an almost childish look of wonder in his eyes.
"Surely we're here for some grand 'ol purpose!? T-This cannot be coincidence?" He looks down at his squalid meal and blinks a few times, gathering himself, "What I mean to say, is that this ghost king must have something to do with Shalec's predicament with a necromancer. If you detest this being's control as much as Shalec does, we are on the same team. I believe Team Shalec is nearing departure, we should be back by sunset, twilight at the latest, unless something goes wrong..." Turning to Urselles, "In which case, I wanna be on record to say, I'd prefer the two of you with us." Croak looks into the eyes of Urselles while totally avoiding the eyes of the elf. He steals a glance when he can but avoids speaking directly to Sathalvir.
Urselles looks down breaking eye contact, when she speaks her voice shakes a little "I can't, there are people suffering here, and if you go to this hermit you're likely going to get into a fight, I can't help you hurt someone, I just can't, I'm going to stay here and do what I can for the suffering people of this town"

It doesn't take Urselles long to get to the church. Normand is there, gathering up supplies and donations to hand out to the poor.
