"Eight... " thinks Thurston " Do you think we could take them quietly? " he asks o Jex.
"We trust you in this matter. Perhaps an ambush when they start going out to check the fighting is our best option. " he seems to think and the conclusion he is reaching seems not to like him.
" We now have more numbers. But perhaps we must divide our forces. One team with Jex to kill the general. One team with Seid to kill the wizards, and another one led by Bründir or Hurrig to free the families. Perhaps you "he says looking at Ander, "could lead the team to free your families, so we can keep Bründir and Hurrig with us. A small strike force of five six men led by you would do the trick, this way we could focuse more on the general and the wizards.
First we get ready to attack the general. You get ready to free your families. You try to do it quietly as we did here. If you are detected then we attack. If you are not, we attack after you have them free. Then the riot begins and the bulk of our forces start to give hell to the goblins " a few dwarves and miners nods in agreement with that last part of the plan " and then we ambush and start taking care of the wizards as they start coming out to see what's happening. "
Jex smiles. "Valient though that plan is, I can probably take more alone if I strike first, once the fighting begins it will be difficult to catch them off guard. Certainly we must try to get them fighting each other. If not the wizards then we try the goblins." He thinks for a moment, then turns to Seid. "I can dress like you. We can loudly assault a group telling them we no longer have need of their vile presence, then run away."
"If we just march on up there we'll be seen and endanger the hostages. Bründir's mother is up there. We need whoever's quietest to free them before we strike at goblins directly."
" I not was saying march.. we didn't march up to here... but I guess you are right we cannot risk this much. Then we go there, clear the guards of the hostages, then the rest."
Jex groans. All these nay sayers were getting to him.
"Alright, I'll kill these, then I'll go and kill the guards near the hostages, then I'll kill the leaders, and you can all keep your noisy hands and feet clean. Is that the plan you will all agree on? Somebody had better buy me something nice for all of this."
His cloak swished behind him as he turns to leave the building to flank the goblins in the courtyard. He turns over his shoulder.
" Thurston will you come with me? I could use a distraction at least, somebody will probably start to notice when they start to drop dead. Anybody else is of course welcome if they aren't too busy catching up."
"Wait J-j-jex I don't... I don't think you should just go... go off and kill the leaders. You should hit first but... if you can't take them out immediately well... you'll need back up. When I was in the tunnels the wizards seemed uhm... focused. They might not notice if the hobgoblin general gets taken out. I don't... I don't think we should split the party to do that. We'll need everyone there to fight the mages for sure. And... well uhm... as for the wards I uh... m-maybe I can help with that." he looks to Seid shakily on that last note.
"We were going to kill the eight that are still here. Then we kill the guards on their families. Then we kill the general. Then the wizards. " he looks to his friends and the now armed miners
While all the planning is happening, nobody notices Dorno casually loitering right by the back door, while inspecting the woodwork of the house's beams. When the first goblin comes through the door he brings his staff down on its head with a loud thwack!
"Bad goblin!" The firbolg exclaims, as the little green creature keels over backwards. Its companion stands behind it in shock, staring at the room of armed warriors.
Vark is nearly as surprised as the goblins themselves, but luckily this means his trigger finger is extra itchy. As soon as the door opens he lets loose a blast of icy elemental magic, leaving the goblin covered in frost and inches from death.
"If we just march on up there we'll be seen and endanger the hostages. Bründir's mother is up there. We need whoever's quietest to free them before we strike at goblins directly."
Bründir's stare is as confused as it is grateful, "Much as I ap'reciate yer concern, I'm not th' only one with fam'ly in there."
Once positions start being taken, Bründir throws his crossbow to a nearby guard prisoner and his javelins across the room. Bette they have these and have another half dozen armed supporters in this. He takes his position near the door, ready to charge.
As soon as the door flies open, the dwarf launches into action. Dorno did well to clear the entrance, and now the diminutive, metal-clad ball of hate and vengence cleared a way further. Rushing the mob of cretins outside the door, Bründir checks one to the side with his shield, but can't get a good opening for his blade. Abandoning technique, he resorted to old reflexes and punched at the goblin. The strike was wild, but the crossguard of his weapon caught the savage just below the eye and sent it reeling. Bründir then quickly dropped his blade onto his shield and stabbed forward. It caught the goblin crooked in the eye and seemed likely to tear off the side of its head. Partially blinded, maimed, and likely not far from death, Bründir's victim struggled against surprise and shock while the dwarf turned to the rest of the guards.

Hurrig follows his friend out of the doorway. He quickly side steps out of the door to leave it clear for the others to come out, standing just to the left of the door way he lines up his crossbow, aiming at one of the goblins. "Moradin, you've been gracious this far... Don't ya stop now... We're taking back this city for ya." Hurrig's holy symbol glows bright and the dwarf looses the bolt. The missile flies clean through the air finding its target. The bolt lodges itself deep in the chest of one of the goblins, knocking it back a few feet before it falls and lays motionless on the ground.

Jex steps out past Brundir, drawing his bow as he moves. Before anybody even realises he has moved, an arrow sticks out from the throat of a goblin and Jex is stepping back in past Brundir, his cloak shifting colours and blending in perfectly with the wall behind him.
Thurston is grabbing his warhammer, ready to jump into the first goblin that steps inside the building. The sound of the lock being opened makes him grins in anticipation. The door opens... and smash him in the face. He has put himself right into the way of the opening door.
With a curse on his language he goes outside, his nose bleeding, and runs outside. Seeing that there are still goblins outside he jumps towards one of them, hitting the surprised goblin in the chest. Sparks of lighting jumping around the hammer, the lighting crosses towards the goblin who falls dead to the ground, little smoke going out of its ears.
He turns towards the others and growls, his warhammer dripping blood from the open chest wound of the goblin, sparks of blue lighting jumping from his forearm to the weapon, his own bleeding nose make his appearance more brutal.
Seeing the others moving out to engage the goblins outside, Seid contemplates remaining inside to draw the creatures in; however, his eyes look around the darkened room and the miners' eyes that glare at him... He throws caution to the wind and fellows the dwarf, Hurrig he believed was his name, out and spots a nearby goblin. He mutters beneath his breath and as he brings his arm up to point at the goblin flames begin to lick around his extended index finger before the streak out towards the goblin. A small bolt of blue flames sears into the flesh of the goblin's thigh as it drops to a knee.
Just as Seid starts to smile, Valaith rushes out of the hut as well her breath fogging as spirits of frost begin to swirl around all of her nearby companions. With her maul held high, she rushes the same goblin Seid targeted, swinging her hammer down with all her might! The poor creature looks up just in time to see the massive black maul before its head is turned into an explosion of bone, teeth, blood, and brain matter! The black sparks begin to pop and crackle along the haft of her weapon. She shakes the gore from the head of her weapon and turns to grin at Seid as she continues pushing past the agony churning in her guts.

"Wait-" Anders starts to call after the Norscan in an urgent whisper, but it is too late and he has grabbed the handle to the back door and turned...
It rattles loudly, as it is, naturally, still locked.
"Quiet down in ther'!" Shouts a goblin voice from the outside. It sounds very close to the door.
"Make me come in agin, an I'll 'ave yer 'ide!"

Jex gestures everyone to back away from the door then points to Anders, whispering: "Tell him you're hungry".
Seid finds a spot in the shadows to hide, preparing to unleash his magic against the goblins should they begin filing in...
Valaith looks around and finds a spot behind the doorway, likely the only spot a massive Goliath could find in the open room.

Anders gives Jex a sharp nod of understanding and sidles up to the door.
"If ye don't give the men something soon we're dead either way. We're wasting away in here!"
This sets off an explosion of goblin curses from the other side of the door, closely followed by the jingling of keys.
"Right, ye in fer it na-" the guard begins as the door opens.
