Consciousness slowly returns to each of you. All you can hear is a sharp, buzzing ring in your ears and the distorted murmuring voices of those around you. Everything seems to be in slow motion as your vision fades from pure white to actually seeing what is happening. Your senses recover, just in time to see a dense, bestial shape leap onto the boat. Though your vision is still fuzzy, you can make out the details of this creature. The beast is massive, roughly the size of a large bull and is covered from head-to-toe in thick, matted fur. At the end of a long, serpentine neck, two glaring, white eyes shine from underneath its fur. In reality, this monster looks like a sheepdog that has feasted exclusively on a diet of steroids and bull shark testosterone from the day it was born. It is frightening in every sense of the word. Wick recognizes this creature as a Yeth Hound.
As your hearing kicks back in, you hear the crew shouting, fending off the other hounds on the edge. It looks as though this one got courageous.

He fumbles at his lute as he shoves Jean-Luc toward the cabin.
"Why didn't I ever learn to cast silence?!" Wick mutters to himself as he begins gathering the focus he'll need to cast dissonant whispers in a moment.
Dahme'dre sits upright. "Well, before we cast down the lion we'll have to take care of this pup." she says as she steels herself for l battle. "Mondra'goran!" She calls.

Mondra'goran lands on Alijurn's shoulder and gets Ready to Help when he can.
Ashe, regrettably, spends this turn casting mage armor upon herself. She grimaces as she takes steps away from the demonic dog keenly aware of the situation they all found themselves in yet again. "Captain, does this sort of thing happen often? Or are we just a special crew."

The hound’s chorus of fear echoes throughout the soundless reality of the Ethereal Plane. What once made you uncomfortable at a distance, now shakes you to the bone at such a close proximity. Wick now realizes why Yeth Hounds are commonly called “Dogs of Mourning,” as there is nothing but pure despair invoked by these monsters’ howls. Ashe and Alijurn clutch their ears, (17 and 19), and you can clearly see the hope fade from their eyes as a deep, primal fear grips them. Ashe and Alijurn are frightened. As they start their turn within 30 feet of the hound, they must use all movement on that turn to get as far from the hound as possible, must finish the move before taking an action, and must take the most direct route, even if hazards lie that way.
Meanwhile, Dahme’dre and Wick both manage to endure the howl, whether by mental images of Captain, or the divine word of El’iam. You both resist.
Wick, startled by the bat suddenly landing on his head, let's out a startled yelp.
"Right, Bat- I'd rather not get tetanus, but I need a drop of blood, so..." He raises a finger up to Mon's fangs, which then gently (I hope) nip it. Wick focuses on the bead welling from his fingertip, then draws it along the E string.
Aware that there may be other yeth in the surrounding haze, the gnome strikes a harsh, jangling chord through the empty air!
Watch out, Batman, because it's Bane (That's a DC 13 CHA save. If there are 1-2 other baddies within 30ft, then I would argue that the acoustics of the spell would cause them to be affected, as well. RAW states that Bane affects up to 3 creatures I can see (but if I were blind, one would assume that I could still cast it...))
Before the Yeth can frighten Alijurn he walks up to it with his sheild in one hand an the other stretched out to grasp the beast by the scruff of its neck. "Small yappers are one thing, but i know how to throw out a mutt." The dragonborn casts Inflict Wounds (2nd level) as his claws clutches it's skin.

As he runs, the hound snaps its jaws toward him, clearly peeved at the event that just transpired, Attack: 22 Damage: 9 piercing damage (Oh no...) plus... 30 psychic damage as the fear, the terribly howls that echo inside Alijurn's mind escalate higher and higher...
Time slows down for Wick as the yeth hound opens its jaws to rip his companion's throat. The discordant notes of his spell still vibrating from his lute, the gnome quickly shifts to a diminished seventh as he lets loose some Cutting Words!
His fingers are awkward on the strings but, almost as though he is being guided, Wick somehow manages to focus all of his will into the spell.
Cutting Words: 6 (with advantage- rolled on discord)
Just as Wick finishes the counter tune and the dog’s fangs sink into the flesh of the dragonborn, the noise builds in Alijurn’s head and stops just short of a heart attack, as he drops unconscious from the 41 points of damage.

Between the howl and the horrible beast sinking its teeth into her shield's flesh, Ashe finds herself incredibly terrified. She runs far away, potentially pressing up against a wall. Like a frightened animal, if she has the time to lash out she will fling several missiles in the yeth hound's direction as dhe shrieks in a most un-ladylike fashion.
