Vondal's battleaxe cuts through the air, but the hobgoblin swings his shield, deflecting the blade up over his head. The leaping headbutt, however, catches the creature completely by surprise, and its head cracks backward painfully. Instinctively, it shifts his footing, and Vondal's third attack is stopped by the creature's armor.
The (white) hobgoblin swings its sword at Nif. (longsword attack: 9, damage: 4 slashing damage) Thinking fast, Nif crosses his blades in front of his face, stopping the attack before it hits.
Adrom, you're up!
Zander, it's early, but go ahead and roll your next death saving throw (unless Adrom wakes you up before you get to it). That way, if you roll a 20, you can go ahead and take your turn at the right time.
The cleric prays to Moradin and sends a magical energy towards his fallen comrade. He then swings his warhammer towards the nearest hobgoblin that still stands.
”You are going to regret this hobos... we will send you screaming to your Gods..”
(BA Healing Word on Zander: 5
Attack warhammer 13 damage 10 )
If he can move without taking the disengage action (sorry I am at the cell phone now) he will move to Zander’s side and cast Cure Wounds instead for 6
Adrom quickly reaches down and touches Zander, the healing energy of Moradin flowing out of the cleric and into the Sorcerer.
Round 3: Purple (injured, asleep), Red, Green (asleep), Zander (prone), Orange (injured), Yellow, Karl (raging), Nif, Blue (injured), Vondal, White (injured), Adrom
The (red) hobgoblin tries to take advantage of Adrom's mercy by swinging his sword at the dwarf's head. (longsword attack: 4, damage: 5 slashing damage) (critical fumble roll: 17; 10) The sword hits the road with a CLANG!
OK, Zander, now it's your turn. You're prone.
See post 1557 for the map. The only two differences are that you're no longer unconscious and Nif is now one square north of White.
When Zander's eyes flick open, they are pitch black. Shadow spills from them like a deluge of tears. Zander rises, and as he does his body undergoes a terrifying metamorphosis. His nails lengthen and sharpen. His skin becomes somehow paler than it normally is, and it swims with bulging black veins. His mouth hangs open, and shadow spills from it. His back arches and his clothing bulges, then rips, as wings of bone protrude from his back. He hovers in the air, limbs dangling like a hanged corpse. He then raises his hand, and points at the hobgoblin nearest to him. His spectral weapon soars toward it, slashing wildly.

His back arches and his clothing bulges, then rips, as wings of bone protrude from his back. He hovers in the air, limbs dangling like a hanged corpse. The (red) and (orange) hobgoblins are visibly frightened of what Zander has become. Zander then raises his hand and points at the (white) hobgoblin, who narrows his eyes and doesn't appear scared. His spectral weapon soars toward it, slashing wildly. Despite his bravado, the floated serrated sword cuts down the (white) hobgoblin like so much butter.
The (orange) hobgoblin is visibly shaking as it swings at Karl. (longsword attack: 4, damage: 6 slashing damage) (critical fumble rolls: 10, 21) The swing is very wild! The hobgoblin looks like it's going to fall over, but it keeps its footing.
The (yellow) hobgoblin takes another swing at Vondal. (longsword attack: 23, damage: 11 slashing damage; martial advantage extra damage: 8) The monk, anticipating the hobgoblin's attack, dodges to the right. Unfortunately, the hobgoblin was feinting and swings under Vondal's defenses, cutting the dwarf down. The hobgoblin then moves up (L8) to stand near both Adrom and Karl.
Karl looks at the Orange Hobgoblin and says "some say you shouldn't 'it a bloke when 'e's down but that ain't a flosophy I 'scribe to it. I say hit 'im when 'es down and then 'it 'im once more to make sure! You ain't down yet but you will soon be!"as (Attack: 12 Damage: 11) he aims at the Hobgoblin's head.
As the hobgoblin dodges Karl's attack, it says in a fearful voice thinly covered by bravado, "You talk too much." The creature's eyes continue to dart around as if they are watching for unseen trouble.
Nif moves to intercept the (yellow) hobgoblin and slashes with his shortsword and dagger, hoping to take advantage of Zander's little display, but the creature is able to deflect both attacks.
The (blue) hobgoblin reaches down and shakes the (green) hobgoblin, earnestly saying something in the goblin tongue. As the sleeping hobgoblin snorts awake, the (green) hobgoblin moves toward Nif (L7) in preparation to attack.
Vondal, make a death saving throw. Adrom, you're up!
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The cleric, once again, prays to Moradin, "Do not let this good dwarf fall under this Râkhas." He then shouts to Vondal, "Khâzad ai menu! On your feet, soldier! You will have time for sleep later!" He then swings his warhammer at the (yellow) hobgoblin, but the creature is able to bring its shield up and deflect the attack.
Round 4: Purple (injured, asleep), Red (scared of Zander), Green (prone), Zander (lookin spooky), Orange (injured, scared of something), Yellow, Karl (raging), Nif, Blue (injured), Vondal (prone), Adrom
Looking scared almost out of his whits, the (red) hobgoblin swings haphazardly at Zander. (longsword attack: 5, damage: 5 slashing damage) Zander has to only move a scant inch for the wild attack to miss him.
The (green) hobgoblin stands and swings at Karl. (longsword attack: 21, damage: 3 slashing damage) The dwarf brings up his own shield, and the sword bounces off.

OOC: Adrom is right beside Zander, so you can cast cure wounds. It will be your action, though (no attack).
