The wyrmling stares in a stupor, and does not react to Hox, but when Fargim steps closer with the ruby, its gaze follows Fargim's hand, as if nothing else is transpiring around it.
As Gruun lowers Therien to the ground, he seems to be breathing normally, unconscious but quite alive.
Becoming uninterested in a dragon that doesn't want to fight, Gruun moves over to the still form of Therien and begins shuffling around in his bag. Hopefully he didn't hide his health potion too well inside it. Once found he will feed it to Therien.

Therien Healing: 7
"We don't have time for that," a nasally voice interrupts Fargim. The ruby suddenly disappears from sight, the weight of it leaving your hand. Therien awakes just in time to join you in seeing Lord Bartle, who is now holding the ruby, standing behind Fargim.
"It's a delightful trinket, yes? If I didn't know any better, Fargim, I'd say you were thinking of keeping it. Maybe revenge for the donkeys, hmm? No matter, I'm sure you'd have faithfully returned it to my grasp soon enough. Your payment, as agreed," he says, tossing a hefty pouch between the four of you. 700 gold pieces lay within, completing your payment.
He studies the wyrmling for a moment. "Dummy? That is you." He walks over to the still-motionless wyrmling, whose eyes continue to track the ruby in Bartle's hands. Bartle mutters an incantation, and the wyrmling slowly shifts into a thinner, taller form of a human dressed in mage robes.
"My courier," Bartle explains, "transmuted by powerful magic. Two in one! My lucky day," he says, tossing the ruby up and catching it.
"Come along. I'll teleport us to the Pyramids and, if we don't end up in solid stone, we can get started on learning what lies beneath the 'Sands of Ascore'!" Bartle chuckles, making air quotes with his fingers.
OOC: Each character has received 175 gold pieces and one potion of healing has been removed from Therien's inventory.
Each character receives 12 XP for defeating the goblin before the chase, 1000 XP for securing the ruby and returning it to Bartle, and 400 XP for saving the wyrmling.
Therien does his best to clear his head and make sense of what he's seeing and hearing. Then, standing up and looking a bit wide-eyed at his fellow adventurers, he asks, "To the pyramids, friends?"
Fargim just plainly answers, "I wasn't thinking on keeping it, I wasn't thinking at all. But the Pyramids.. sure. I hope we have a moment to rest somewhere, not all of us are feeling that good."
Bartle sighs and mutters to himself for a moment. "Let's see...three days ago...carry the one...yes, it is late, I suppose we have time for you to shake off today's events. But we will have very little time to lose once we reach the pyramids, hmm? And what about you there? Gruun, was it? Wouldn't want to be teleporting you against your will but you do still seem to be standing here. Are you coming?"
Third death saving throw for Therien: 19 (I've lost track of the in-game time flow; so I apologize if this roll is placed too soon)
OOC: Not too soon, just in time!

"Is...Is shiny magic?" Hox looks to Farquim
Fargim sits back down to take a short rest and concentrate on learning the properties of the ruby.
"Give me an hour"

"I could use a hefty meal. Are we going to a tavern by these pyramids? I suppose we should be off either way."
OOC: Sorry guys, my days ran together and I forgot to warn that I was going to be absent a couple days.
