Wex laughs. "No, no, Fingers is what I call Sevrn, our severe paladin friend up there," he nods to where Sevrn and Flynn are talking, ten feet ahead. "He's not the type to employ anyone, his methods of convincing are more, drastic. We are, shall we say, going the same direction for now."

Sevrn pauses for a moment to wipe his brow, and survey their path.
(Motioning to Flynn:) "I was thinking we could cut through here to get to Greenest before it gets too dark, then continue through to Elturel. We should stay off the main roads and below tree cover if there are dragons. Do you see a better way?"
I dont like any dragons involved personnally, but especially the colored ones, never a good thing to meddle in the affairs of dragons as they say, but we are in it now.
Flynn listens to the proposed route and nods in agreement. That sounds like the best plan, i am mostly tapped magic wise, then looking back at Wex and Theo "maybe our next stray should be a holy type perhaps" and with a grin he starts forward with Sevrn
You all make your way through the abandoned camp, egg in tow. At the entrance to the camp near the guard tower, Sevrn, you notice a lot of foot traffic heading off to the west towards the coast. You even see a few wagon tracks.
Finding your way back to Greenest is pretty easy for you all, having been back and forth a few times already. You arrive early evening around 6:45pm. The town has posted many guards and you were all easily noticed from a bit away. The small contingent of guards head out to confront you all, but quickly realize who you all are. They escort you back to the center keep in Greenest.
Escobert is notified of your arrival and quickly comes out to meet you all. With a big smile splitting his big red beard he clasps hands with everyone in turn, except for Theo and Wex. "I don't quite remember this one" He says, pointing at Theo. Then glowering at Wex, he says to Sevrn, "He give you any trouble in there?"
At the keep in response to Escobar: Theo politely smiles and shakes Escobar's hand. "I'm Theo, just another victim of that cult that these fine heroes rescued."
After Sevrn's grand-standing, Theo will try to find somewhere to store the egg and ask if there is food, water, and shelter. He'll also inquire about any courier service that may be available.
Wex just rolls his eyes at Sevrn's theatrics, but stands to the side and lets it happen uninterrupted.
Once inside, he smiles with hands wide open at Escobert's suspicion of him, and nods thankfully in Flynn's direction. "I am a changed man, in more ways than one. We've done what you asked, and more besides," he indicates Theo. "There should have been others straggling in, converted by Sevrn's particular ways? Farmers and others, pressed into service by the cult? One or two?"

Sevrn yells his speech as you all enter the town. A few people stare on, unsure of how to react. Surprisingly quite a few of the townsfolk stop their cleanup efforts and begin to clap and cheer at Sevrn's words!
OOC: fast forward to the keep lol
Escobert looks at the weapons of the half-dragon with a bit of surprise. "Well now! I see you got a rematch. Good, we'll all be better off without the likes of that creature." He nods at Flynn's words and then actually smiles at Wex's. "Nighthill owes me a goldpiece. I actually told him you'd come to your senses." He lets out a laugh at this remark while clapping Sevrn on the back. Walking over to Theo, the dwarf shakes your hand with a strong grip. "Well I'm glad these men were able to help you out. Come you can all stay in the barracks of the keep. I'll get some food brought in and have some hot water put in the tubs downstairs!"
Theo still waits to find where he can store the egg. After that is secure he'll take a bath and have some food, cleaning his robes via magic Prestidigitation.
Once he feels at ease he asks again where to find a courier service (letters) and if there are any merchants in town.
He clearly plans on staying for more than one night.
Wex will similarly clean up, as offered, and spend some time on the battlements, thinking. Then he will head to the quarters assigned to him, and will sleep.

Theo, Escobert allows you to keep the egg inside the barracks with you all. He was hesitant at first but then, after closer inspection, shrugs his shoulders and leads you to your rooms. After you're cleaned up Theo, you ask around the keep for the messenger service and merchant. One of the guards of the keep answers curtly, while helping repair part of the outer walls, for you to speak with Governor Nighthill or Escobert about both subjects.
After learning where he can make contact, Theo will return to the Barracks and take his rest along with the group. As he goes to bed, he'll piece together a letter.
Theo, you easily find Escobert around the keep. He informs you that they can help with getting a letter out but as for a merchant....The town is in shambles the merchant they had was ransacked and looted along with the rest of town. He has basic supplies and is willing to help, within reason.
Wex has another restless night in the keep in Greenest. When he finally gets up, he is as tired as he was when he went to sleep, with dark rings under his eyes. He spends some time sitting on his cot (are we all in a barracks room of some sort?), just staring at the floor. Then he finally stands up, and dresses in his worn clothes, pulling on the old boots, but leaving his sword and gear to the side. He exits the room to go find breakfast, hopefully without saying a word to anyone.

Flynn inturrupts He has been a grand ally an true to his word completely, i would say he has made up for his prior actions

As Sevrn approaches the gates, and as he passes through them he'll proudly raise Langredosa's great sword and spear for all of the townsfolk to see.
Charisma roll (equal parts persuasion and intimidation): 18
Proclaiming Loudly: "Landgredosa, the half dragon's Greatsword and Spear!"
[pausing for effect]
Holding both prizes high: "His head rests lifeless in his own keep... Separated from his body!"
[pausing for effect]
"THIS is what happens to the enemies of Greenest!"
[pause for effect]
"Your enemies fear you, they tremble in their sleep... they flee from you, for THIS IS YOUR VENGEANCE!!!!"
Once the group is well inside the keep, Sevrn will make a great show of laying both greatsword and spear at the Escobert's feet.
At the keep in response to Escobar: Theo politely smiles and shakes Escobar's hand. "I'm Theo, just another victim of that cult that these fine heroes rescued."

"Your hospitality is appreciated, but we won't be staying past this night."
Sevrn touches Escoberts upper arm in gratitude, then leans and whispers something in his ear:
"Mercy is a ravenous blade... We're well matched her and I. Thank you."
Sevrn will proceeds downstairs to take a bath, clean his robes, and scrub his armor with sand and vinegar to a silver shine in isolation.
Unless something comes up, Sevrn will find a secluded room to pray to Shevarash at dusk, then retire for the night.
