The attention with which the halfling merchant handles the blade is impressive, as is the care. Izifo watches as he inspects its full dimensions by spinning it width and then lengthwise. He mutters some words and makes a gesture to cast a spell and Izifo strains to identify what it might be.
"Though your father may not be pleased initially, it is for the good of your family and your business that you will profess. He will see this quality in you." Dred says to Khuafu trying to bolster the young mans courage and keep him on task. "It would be my honor to go with you and support you on this mission." Dred could perhaps come to meet the friend in the Lord's Alliance as well. He knew of the organization and it could come in handy to broaden his circle of contacts as he makes his way through the world.
Dred pats Khuafu on the shoulder saying, "Come my friend, let's not delay. Lead on."
"The blade was forged by a giant. Under a lighting storm," Handenhand explains, his eyes fixed on the weapon he turns over in his hands. He goes on to say, Izifo…
OOC. The blade is +1, offers resistance to lightning damage, and 1/day as a bonus action, the blade bestows shocking grasp. You must be holding the hilt for the property to take effect. There are no material components.
"A wonderful weapon," the halfling adds.
You have heard of such a weapon, Izifo. But not a blade of this size.
You all have taken your first steps into the campaign this adventure launches. Well done! You each are awarded 50 XP for RP, and 100 XP as a milestone for befriending Khuafu.
And with those incredible and entertaining introductions, I am ever so thrilled to say, so begins Part 1: All the Treasure in the World.
"Made by a giant..." No longer was it any wonder why the blade seemed to barely contain its power, having had it hammered into its blade by such a creature. Izifo receives the sword back and slips it into the cord around his waist. He offers a bow to the halfling merchant.
"May I have your name again, so that I may speak praises of your store to travelers on their way to this port?" he asks. Handenhand obliges and shares his name and Izifo runs over it in his head a few times to ensure that he commits it to memory. He bows again and offers a farewell, continuing through the market.
Many of the other stalls are filled with curious trinkets like pottery and baskets. Some of cords of dried meat and large baskets filled with colorful and odorous spices. However, none of the curiosities are as wondrous as the one he stumbled upon. He rests a hand on the pommel at his waist, feeling the slight sparks tickling his palm.
Rounding an opening in the market space, he turns out and faces the Tiryki Anchorage. There's a bit of commotion towards the pathway into it. While it could have been anything that caused it, Izifo chuckled to himself at the prospect that the true cause was the scent of animal droppings that seemed to waft in the air from the area. He approaches the edge of the Anchorage and holds out a hand at woman, whose manner of dress was not fitting for the dirt and dust that covered her.
"Hello, what is this all about here? What has happened?" (Insight: 16 + 3)
OOC: Trying to maneuver over towards Dred and Zara's location. Triceratops stables and a rampaging triceratops sound like they'd be in the same space.
Zara simply stares at the creature right, with her stance solid and showing Dominance hoping the animal has stoped rampaging. She has her hands open but in a non-threatening gesture.

That's a solid natural 6 + 0 for Arcana
