(I am working off of the 3.5 version, so at the moment you can speak Squirrel and Common and have advantage on Acrobatics and Athletics Checks. You would also know that those that embrace Nature and Hope further have gained further abilities.)
(Had planned to explain everything at a slower rate, but Oddlot's character dying kind of forced my hand.)
Kip wakes up inside his home, under a mountain of fur... Slowly and gently pushing his sleeping wife and ten young children off of him until he is able to see a few beams of sunlight piercing through his window and penetrating the wall of fluff that was practically suffocating him. once free, he would quietly step outside on to the huge thick branch that was his front porch hanging roughly seventy feet in the air. The massive oak tree had been his home for as long as he could remember, but he could not shake the feeling he was forgetting something.. or someone.. he had hope that some day he would find the faces that he saw in his dreams.. hope that one day he could perform whatever task that was asked of him what seemed like both forever ago... and yet so recently... After scratching his belly a bit and taking in the view of the rising sun, he would make his way back into the massive tree that was his home and sit down to a huge bowl of nuts while waiting for the rest of his familly to wake and the chaos to begin.. knowing that this was the calm before the storm. Kip slowly turning his head toward the bedroom where the mount of fluffy balls of energy were slowly breathing, snoring, and chattering in their sleep.
As Kip sits there, thinking about the dream, he recalls Hope, of course he would never forget her, and the words of Torm. He also recalls the faces of Mercury, Vanyel, and Penris. He does not recall Ash at all.
Penris opens her eyes, waking and stretching slowly, then bolting upright as she remembers her dream. It was a dream, wasn't it? But it's all so vivid... She jumps up and dresses quickly, pulling on her plain brown trousers and tunic, and heading downstairs to get her breakfast. Evalyn, the family cook, tsks as Penris grabs some rolls and heads out the door. "Your mother would be horrified at your manner of dress, Penris."
"Perhaps, but since she is no longer here, and I am no longer a child, I shall dress how I please." Penris heads out the door, grabbing her cloak, mouth already full of the delicious hot roll. "Thanks, Evalyn!" she mumbles around the roll, then shoves the second one in her mouth, her nimble fingers quickly plaiting her long brown hair into a tidy braid around her head. The grove, she thinks, that's the place to go. She tries to remember the names as she walks, mumbling to herself, "Ash, Kip, and who else? Mercury?"
As Ash relaxes, names pop into his head, with faces to go with them. Penris and Kip. You remember suddenly that they are Champions of the Gods, and you vaguely think you might be one too. There was also a Bugbear and a black skinned Deep Gnome there too for some reason. You then immediately remember Torm, your God, tell you to find these others.
Vanyel wakes with a start in his cave on a bed covered with furs. He rolls over to the sight of a roaring fire with a haunch of meat roasting on a spit. Crystal lines the cave causing the light from the fire to refract all over the chamber causing the light to be much brighter than it otherwise would be. Trophies from his conquests are lined along the walls as a bit of a macabre display. He climbs to his feet and walks to the meat, taking the spit in hand and behind gnawing on it as he reflects on the memories of the chamber with The Mighty. What was it that he was expected to do. The Mighty told him he was to protect the others but he had no idea where or who they were.

Vanyel, you mostly remember The Mighty; quite clearly at that, especially the ease at which he lifted you single handedly, as if you weighed nothing. You also remember the others, but only after the point that The Mighty pointed them out.
Ash tries to get through his meal with his family without giving away the internal conflict going on inside of him. It was just a dream right? There's no way he was just formed out of some mythical ether... He has been alive for almost a hundred years... right? Are these faces he keeps seeing real? He remembers them all clearly... but he's never met a Bugbear before....
Ash finishes up and meal and gets ready to start the day, heading over to his father's smithy, Mr. Pebblepots needs all those new horseshoes before lunch, so he has a lot of work to do.
Mercury packs up his make-shift camp and loads it onto the cart. He pets his horse and holds some vegetables up to it's mouth. His weapon clangs against the wooden cart as he climbs into the seat. Cleaning his face with a rag hanging from his belt, he takes a book from his pocket and opens it. The book contains drawings of the other champions that he drew from memory. They are crude and help jolt his mind. He slams it shut, and takes up the reins.
"I guess it's just you and me again, Ocean. Let's see if we find them today, eh?" He throws some water over the fire as he passes it, the sun now high enough in the sky for the shadows to have disappeared. The fire sizzles as it extinguishes. Mercury sits back, reins in hand, with one hand resting on his weapon, travelling along the road once more.
Vanyel grabs the giant axe that he has used many times to fell enemies on the battlefield, strapped his light hammer to his belt and his javelins onto his back before heading out of the cave. The crisp morning air filling him with vigor. He begins to stalk through the forest in search of new game to kill for food with predatory eyes, ears, and nose on high alert. Something in him told him he would need extra food for storage soon and he was already planning how he was to smoke it to preserve the meat for later consumption.

Kip will sit in his chair and watch as the fluffy mound begins to writhe and grow before bursting into a mass of squirrelings that quickly rush to hug and smother him with fluff. "Now Now give your father some space, go get yourselves some breakfast and let him be.." His wife says calmly, acting as the calm eye of the squirreling hurricane that was his house.. making her way over to him and giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "I had the dream again... I... I think I need to go looking for them... again..." Kip will say cautiously... knowing how his wife has felt about his journeys in the past. His wife will let out a long sigh... "You have gone looking for them before.. and each time you come back empty handed... and each time you leave me to watch over our children alone... why is this time going to be any different?" She will say with a sad and concerned look on her face. "Because our kids are grown now Ivy! Because I am getting older... because this is something I know I need to do and the longer I wait... I just... I feel like someone or something out there is suffering because of me... because I am not doing this thing I need to do..." Ivy will look to him and give Kip a gental smile. "You are right... the kids are getting older and they do not need the same amount of attention as they used to do... you have done well to provide for us.... I am sure that we can manage if you need to do this" Ivy will give him another smile and a kiss on his fluffy head. "Thank you honey!" Kip will say rising to his feet and giving his wife a big hug, lifting her into the air and spinning around. Then, after packing some provisions into his back pack and saying goodbye to his children... he would set off prepared for anything he may face on his all-to-familiar quest.
Penris hums to herself as she walks, nodding politely to a few people she recognizes as she heads down the main road out of town. As she leaves the town proper, she takes a deep breath, that same feeling of freedom stealing over her again. She knows her father means well and so does Evalyn, but feeling like a constant disappointment is hard on the soul. Penris wishes she was more interested in her father's precious library, but since her mother passed, the only time she feels at peace is when she can escape to nature. She enjoys her solitary walks, as they give her time to focus on her vivid and increasingly frequent dreams.
She is deep in thought as she walks, muttering to herself. "Krythlynn, of course, but how am I going to be a champion? I mean, Ash, of course, Mercury, of course, Vanyel, certainly, but me? And Kip? He's adorable, yes, because who could resist that fluffy tail? But champions?" Penris takes another deep breath, and straightens as she walks. Perhaps she will run into Granthir and he will be able to help. He is mysterious but always kind, and perhaps he will have some ideas on how she can find the others. Whatever it takes, she will do it. Krythlynn will help her, she is sure of it. Although I'm probably going to disappoint my father yet again, she thinks with a grimace.

(Sorry for the delay. I will post later tonight.)
Ash arrives at his father's smithy, he sees him already at work; pumping the bellows to intensify the flame. He doesn't see you enter.
