Listening to what Devin was saying, Torunn reacts in surprise at the mention of the giants hierarchy changing, "In my dream I too saw this scattering of the Giants hierarchy, although I confess at the time, I did not know what it meant, as my knowledge of Giants is rather limited. In the same dream, I saw a series of locations: First was the Harbor, then this building. Whilst I dont know which is the next location, the other places I saw were a castle and a temple, does that mean anything to you?"
Confused, Meiva scowls, left hand dropping to her shortsword hilt. Then her face clears and Meiva breathes deeply.
"I...apologize, as well," she tells DORK with obvious effort. "It is not right for one to speak to an ally in this way, lest the balance of alliance be upset. I shall assume that you meant nothing truly harmful by your words, and, in return, I ask that you assume a less strange position, as your attempt at imitation causes me to feel...uncomfortable."
She turns to Devin.
"My superior's dream was of ants and lizards, but I now see that they did have a deeper meaning, though not all of it makes sense, even now."
"Coins," Jaylen says sharply, still glaring at DORK. "Our Lady High Priestess dreamed of the giants in the same order. Only, all of them had a replica of Our Shining Lady’s coin on edge in front of them. She says there was a great bang, and the giants set off rolling the coins in front of them. Then, she awoke. Prior to the giants, however, Tymora, in the form of a silver bird, flew out from the land over the sea." Her demeanor has turned from anger into solemnity. She brushes at her robes — a futile effort because of the wind, but it's more of a calming gesture than a utilitarian one. "What is it you have learned about giants?" she asks Devin. "I can't say I know much about them myself, having lived my life on the Coast."
D.O.R.K freezes mid-motion of what had eventually escalated into a strange dance, considers the request for a moment, and then stiffly nods in acceptance. With her hands thus folded over one another behind her back, she more actively paid attention to the other conversation. Not that she ever wasn't for even a second. But priorities dictated easing tensions first. As no further questions were directed at her however, she stayed quiet, and kept looking back and forth between speakers before her eyes finds the man with his head in his hands earlier.

"Ah, giants. I knew nothing really of them prior to this. So I spent time studying them, seeking the knowledge of wizards and others at the House of Wonders. I still know very little but at least I know the types and how to identify them and something of their strengths and weaknesses."
Devin leans on his staff as he runs his hand through his brown hair.
"Meiva, what was the dream? It seems our superiors each received a piece of a puzzle. If we share what each of us was told perhaps the whole picture will become clearer. "
"My superior dreamt of an ant nest full of massive ants. They flew and walked around, performing a variety of tasks, some bringing food, some bringing rocks, while some ants carried others into the center of the mound. Then a huge foot stomped the entire mound to bits, while a blue-scaled lizard watched from the bushes. The foot could be giants, I now see, but what the lizard is, I do not know."
"Ants. Industrious. Many. Giants of their own right due to potential. Assessment.... Potential for ants to be Human run kingdom: Fifty-Seven Percent. I require further details on potential kingdoms that are located further north of this city's position. Other possibilities include Fire Giant Nation, Hobgoblin Empire, or Kobolds. Too much uncertainty." D.O.R.K says abruptly without every taking her eyes off the man in the distance. Her eyes had gone blue, and a hand was inching its way to what looked to be some sort of pipe with both its ends closed off by pointed caps.
"Given other descriptors, the Next Logical Conclusion is Thus: The Ordning has been disrupted by a potential outside influence, or an internal ones through the machinations of the Cloud Giants, or Blue Dragons. Odds favor the former by Thirty-Two Percent as the later have been natural enemies for some time now. In addition, the giants are as seizing their chance to increase their tribes personal fortunes, and thus ascend in the hierarchy when the Ordning is made anew. Possibility of this 'blue lizard' also having orchestrated the kidnapping or killing of our future allies 'Queen' piece against the giant, thus placing pressure upon them... Eighty-two Percent."

Torunn seems to be deep in thought, finally he speaks up. "So we know the following; the hierarchy of the giants has been disrupted by some unknown force/disturbance, we have been gathered here to form.. how did you put it?.. ah yes a task force to investigate whats happening and its more than likely happening to the north. But one major question still looms, where do we go from here??"
Torunn lets out a good hearted chuckle at Devin's response. "Whilst you arent wrong my friend, I was refering to my previous comment about a castle and a temple and if that was ringing any bells for anyone."
I am putting this post up now but please feel free to keep interacting as you see fit.
After about 20 minutes during which the party members have introduced themselves there is a great fluttering of wings and one of Waterdeep’s famed Griffons alights on the platform. Its rider dismounts and comes across to the group, he is particularly amazed by D.O.R.K. With a quick bow he says “I am looking for the Servant of Mystery knows as Nilorin.” Nilorin steps forward and says “I am he.” The Griffon Rider reached into a pouch and says “I am charged to pass this missive onto you”and he passes over a scroll that is sealed, embedded in the seal can be seen an imprint of a blazing sword. Nilorin quickly scans the letter before reading it out aloud to the party–
'To the Servant of Mystery Nilorin
Yesterday I received a letter from the Lady of Nightstone, Lady Velrosa Nandar, in which she described seeing a Cloud Giant flying castle circling the village. Worried that they might attack, she begged for me to arrange for a squadron of the Griffon cavalry to drive them off. Not wanting to provoke the giants, Open Lord Silverhand and I sort the advice of the Gods' representatives here in the City of Splendours. They informed us that had all received portents that something was afoot and a group had been pulled together to explore the issue. They authorised me to approach this group and charge them to make their way, post-haste, to Nightstone. I was also to authorize that the combined churches would provide them with 500 Dragons to purchase any additional equipment they may need.

After Nilorin reads the letter out to the party, the Griffon Rider pulls out a purse and hands it over to whomever Nilorin indicates. Inside the purse are 10 Harbour Moons.
OOC: The Harbour Moon is a coin, unique to Waterdeep, that is a palm-sized crescent of platinum inset with electrum (centre of graphic) . It is worth 50 dragons in the city and 30 dragons outside the city. Please decide amongst yourselves how you want to spend the extra cash. Unless people want to, I wont RP the shopping, but am happy to do so if people would like.

Once the message is finished being read aloud, Torunn turns to the group, "Now I don't know about you guys, I am definetely in need of supplies, before I embark on any more Journey's. I put it to the group if we want to spend the money on group supplies - ox and cart for example, individual supplies or arrange something in between."
"Forgive me, Mother. My eyes were wide-shut." She mutters as she traces the symbol in her forehead. She then looks up and addresses the group. "It would only be to our advantage to pool such resources together. However, if this is not equitable I... will see to it that. Though--"Her head snaps over to the griffon rider, and she immediately marches over to the griffon rider. "Noble Griffon Rider of Waterdeep. Query. What is your name and rank? Second Query. Does this city possess purchasable Elephants, and accompanying riding material?"

The Griffon Rider looks surprised that D.O.R.K. talks. He however bows and says “my name is Diego Adarbrent, of the House of Adarbrent, and I have the privilege of being Third Rider, Green Flight, Blue Squadron.” Like most people of Chondathan heritage he is slender, has tawny skin and brown hair.
He then thinks for a while and says “I see no reason why you can’t buy an elephant here, after all you can buy almost everything else in City of Splendours.”He grins at D.O.R.K and goes on “I don’t know why you want an elephant but I would start at one of House Brokengulf’s emporiums.”

At the mention of 500 dragons, Jaylen's mouth drops open. She quickly closes it, but her eyes continue to sparkle. "I have a few things I'd like to pick up." As DORK begins her quest for an elephant, Jaylen rolls her eyes. "An elephant? That would take forever."
Torunn turns to Jaylen but talks to the group as a whole, "This is just a suggestion, whilst an elephant might be a bit over the top, I do think a beast of burden is a good idea, whether its a elephant or not. So how about we put half towards D.O.R.Ks idea and split the rest on personal shopping, thats still 50 dragons a piece!"
"Error. That was three Queries. My sincerest apologies."D.O.R.K does a quick bow, and then rises up thumbing her chest plate. "Greeting. I am a Designated Operative of the Red Knight, but you may call me Red. House of Brokengulf noted. In customary appreciation for services render, I will hug you now." She is on him within a split second of the words leaving her mouth, and will straight up lift him up, armor and all off the ground while squeezing him about the waist just a tad too harder than necessary. "Appreciation procedure completed. If this operative survive the next objective, I would like to properly discuss previous service record among other noteworthy topics. Have a good day, Diego Adarbrent, of the House of Adarbrent, Third Rider of Green Flight's Blue Squadron... Boy. That is a mouthful."D.O.R.K bows once more to the rider.
"Correction. It would only take approximately.... Six Hours at most."She glances back at Diego for confirmation, and then upon receiving it back to the group. As Torunn mentions putting half on her idea, D.O.R.K... kind of... loses it. First, there she lets out what could've been a 'squee', but came out more like a tea pot releasing steam. Then, much like a school girl, she starts hopping and clapping in place before the hopping turns into skipping around in a circle loosely around the whole group.
It is a sight Torunn hasn't seen for years, and has only ever came about following the completion of the red toned Battle Axe: nicknamed "Heart Breaker" by her mentor.

Diego takes a step backwards as Red approaches him but not fast enough to avoid the ‘Appreciation Protocol’ being successfully executed. After she puts him down, he dusts himself off and says ”to express appreciation a simple thank you, bow of the head and” he quickly grasps Red’s hand before she can draw it back “a firm grasp of the hand and move it up or down, two to three times is sufficient” as he demonstrates.
