(ain't that a *****...lol. Question - if i had a concentration spell up, Hex in this case, and my Hypo Pattern was counter spelled, which is another concentration spell, do i end up dropping the concentration on Hex or no since Hypo Pattern never went off?)
(OOC: Hypno pattern was not actually cast, so my reading of the rules is that Hex is still up.)

Ana spoke, addressing the priest and the other enemies. "Stop this nonsense. You've already failed. The monsters above are dead. The flower is destroyed. Release these prisoners and surrender and no one else need to die." As she spoke, she used the power of Eldath to link three of her allies together, bolstering them.

Brin: I want to double check if you are negating the Priest counterspell. I mentioned that the Slaad is firing up its own spell, so if the Hypnotic Pattern doesn't work on it, you won't be able to stop the Slaad. (Maybe you have complete confidence in Isk, or are not worried about the Slaad spell.)
Ana: So you used an Action *before* entering the chamber for Emboldening Bond? Since the effect lasts for 10 minutes, that works. I will add the +d4 damage to their attacks.
Reverie: The Priest is 50' away, so you can't attack him. If you want to attack this round, the 2 acolytes are within range. I will apply that, unless you choose differently.
Iskander: I could easily be wrong about the concentration, but for now, that's the way I interpret it. This brings back bad memories of when I used to play Magic:tG, with unwinding the order of instants, spells, counters, tap effects,.... ugh.

(Thanks for clarifying that. I will remind them next round.)

Brin would do the priest's counterspell, as that would be the first spell he had to deal with. He wouldn't know about the other creature's spell at that point yet.
(Trim can add 1d4 to attacks from emboldened bond. Reverie and isk too)
attack 1: 2
attack 2: 2
(OOC: attack not damage right?)

While any bonded creature is within 30 feet of another, the creature can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw it makes. Each creature can add the d4 no more than once per turn.)

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Reverie as able to reach the two acolytes chaining the prisoners. Her first two swings knock down the first acolyte. (I'll need a decision if you want him unconscious or dead. You can decide on non-lethal after the damage is rolled.) The other acolyte starts raising a sword at the closest prisoner. "I'll stab her unless you stay back!" Reverie slashes him with her third attack. He is still active, and taunting Reverie, until Reverie puts a Divine Smite through her weapon, blasting the acolyte so he can no longer threaten anyone.
Trimyrai fires two arrows at the priest. His arrows are not as accurate normal. (Perhaps seeing these prisoners underground brings back bad memories of when he was enslaved in the Underdark.) Both arrows are deflected by the Mage Armor.
Iskander puts a Hypnotic Pattern around the green slaad and the priest. (Since both acolytes are down, he can move the pattern so it doesn't affect the prisoners.)
slaad WIS save (adv due to magic resistance): 16
priest WIS save: 8
Both the green slaad and the priest stand slack-jawed and mesmerized. Isk knew this spell is effective, but didn't think it would take out this easily an extra-dimensional brute with magic resistance and a normally-high-WIS priest.
Brin and Ana are up. (I'm staying in initiative for now. Ana has the option of doing something else besides Emboldening Bond. Both acolytes are down. One is dead, the other is unconscious or dead depending on what Reverie chooses. The priest and slaad will be restrained/hypnotized for a minute. You have time to discuss what to do within the party, but if you talk too long, you will lose a round.)

"Tie their hands and feet, and gag the priest's mouth." Ana suggests, taking out rope from her own pack. "The frog monster... Not sure we can take it with us. What do you guys think?" She then turns to the prisoners. "You're safe now, the way to the surface is clear. Do you know if there are more of them around? And maybe more prisoners?"
(wow, i did not expect to get both the priest and the slaad, especially the slaad)
"We should definitely kill the monster. Be aware, once he's hit, he will wake but we can all set up attacks to clobber him quickly. Restraining the priest and the talking to him later is a good idea, but lets kill the frog first."
"Agreed, let's concentrate attacks on the frog-thing." Brin agrees. He would work out to concentrate all of their attacks at once, so that they can, hopefully, take it down before it can act.

Trimyrai will attack the priest who casted counterspell
Attack 1: 19
Damage 1(if it hits): 7
Attack 2: 20
Damage 2(if it hits): 14
