Maybe risk a short rest (hit dice to recover health), and then move away from the grove? (Then the long rest.)
We don't feel safe enough to take a long rest near the myconids, and the friendly mushrooms don't want us around (to contaminate them).

If everyone in the party get's back to full health, let's actively look for trouble!
Beegred hit dice: 6 + 10
I'll go with whatever the party decides (if they want to stealth). But that's my preference. (Very close in experience for Level 4.)

Ok then, moving without stealth and making no effort to avoid fights.
Moving through the thick growth of the fungi forest requires you all to march single file. This is what I have on file. Also, perception checks from everyone except for Beegred, who still has his passive 13 because of Favored Terrain:
With Skameros' long arms, I would think the 3rd spot (ahead of Narstin), or maybe 2nd. But whatever ArgentTheSilver wants.

Skameros: Is certain that Neverlight Grove is safe and danger free. The upcoming 'wedding' will be a joyous event, and this Araumycos fella is an outstanding groom.
Derendil: Doubles down on his paranoia. Frowns and looks aggressively at anything with pointy ears. (IE: Skameros, Jimjar & Rodolfo)
Jimjar: Went catatonic for minutes when he walked into the spore cloud.
(why is it I always seem to have beef with Derendil hehe)
Skameros thinks all the 'strange' things that have happened - are just the way the myconids do things - and that's different from what is considered normal but nothing to be concerned about - I'm sure those people wanted to be planted in the ground and turned in to mushrooms - or whatever they did - they deserved it.
Was Derendil shouting that at Skameros? is he acting aggressively towards the bugbear or just rushing to his side to see what might have dragged him off?
To ArgentTheWise: Derendil is very much aggressive towards Skameros, who earned Derendil's ire when it looked to Derendil like Skameros was running away. Derendil is in a combat posture and looking AT Skameros, not elsewhere.
To Skameros: Derendil is yelling gibberish and is trying to talk to you. Everything is totally fine, everyone is safe here in the grove, except you're stuck on something sticky. But that's normal, nothing wrong there. Just have to get unstuck and keep going.
All you know is the mounds are where the myconids stand around doing nothing for half the day.
As nice as a long rest would be, I think we're probably better off getting away from the grove first.

That could work
Take a short rest. Nothing approaches or happens while on the mound.
Do you move to avoid dangers (stealth), leave it to fate or actively look for it on the way to the supply cache?

Stealth is good, but if they want to level up sooner that's fine too - almost back to full health

Rodolfo rolls hit dice (9) and uses Arcane Recovery to get back 2 spells slots of level 1.
I don't think stealth is necessary for now.

Where do I put Skameros? (Perception: 2)
(ArgentTheSilver's luck with dice continues...)

Hmmm you can put him behind Beegred unless Jimjar wants to be 2nd.

@ everyone else: It's evident that Derendil is flipping out again and going to attack Skameros.
(Hit dice from the short rest: 7, 11, 8)
(Sweet, exactly what I needed to get to full health)
This is where I could really use a free 2nd level spell slot to try to Hold Person him. I guess Command it is!
