Just a reminder: Navigation is a DC 10 Survival roll.
Any objections to Beegred's plan? Only discrepancy is both Beegred and Skameros volunteered for shift 3.
Hmm... Forgot about the Navigation. In that case, Eldeth should navigate with Jimjar helping. Rodolfo can join the danger watch. Narstin can forage for water, or continue crafting his holy symbol, as he choses.
I'm fine with Beegred-1st watch, and Skameros-3rd watch. I wanted to put Eldeth with Skameros (instead of splitting them up), to improve the Perception rolls for each shift.

Beegred Thornpost - Lvl 8 Halfling Ranger - Out of the Abyss by Kerrec Drusk - Lvl 8 Half-Orc Life Cleric - The Long Road: Dragon Heist by Mingofaust (player & current DM) Hunferho Aelorothi - Lvl 5 Half-Elf Bard/Rogue - Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus (by Pokepaladdy) DM - Frontier City of Nunkreet (ended)
At least to start, if Narstin is willing, he should cast Lesser Restoration (cure disease) twice each night. Start with Skameros/Jimjar, then Rodolfo/Eldeth, then Narstin/Beegred.
Works for me. Since it takes a second level spell slot to cast, I'd say save them to cast at the end of the day just before we rest, so will be dependent on what happens during the day and whether I have any spell slots remaining (None left before the long rest/level up at the mound, so first ones would be after the first day of travel, assuming I don't have to use the slots during combat or something).
Narstin would carry at least 1 sack (to actually have a pack of some kind to store stuff in instead of just a belt pouch), carrying capacity of 225 so I could carry up to 4 without being encumbered.
Jimjar and Eldeth are not in the Initiative order.
Can I assume that they are being vigilant against the other yellow eyes coming back? (Not involved with our fight against this Nothic, but we will get a warning if its buddies come back?)

I figured one Nothic wasn't going to be a challenge, so didn't add the NPC's to dilute the XP.
Speaking of the other Nothics, I don't want to solution to every encounter to be combat. You roleplayed an intimidation check and succeeded against two of them, so they have fled. You will still be awarded XP for all 3.
I want to encourage attempts to find other solutions. Don't worry about the other two.
... and says, "Your hatred and anger because of Stone Giants will be your undoing, and when our spirits meet beyond, mine spirit will laugh at yours for eternity."
Beegred starts yelling angrily at the dead monster, despite how happy he was during the fight. "Take that back, you one-eyed walking snot pile!"
Request for DM inspiration: I’ll never forget the crushing defeat my company suffered or the enemies who dealt it.

Yeah, I chose the Paranoid "Observant" feat. I figured the last month of traveling should have helped with his passive perception.

With all the hugging he's been doing, I'm contemplating
Grappler
Prerequisite: Strength 13 or higher
You’ve developed the skills necessary to hold your own in close-quarters grappling. You gain the following benefits:
You have advantage on attack rolls against a creature you are grappling.
You can use your action to try to pin a creature grappled by you. To do so, make another grapple check. If you succeed, you and the creature are both restrained until the grapple ends.
FYI, your main weapon is two handed. To maintain a grapple, you will need one of your hands to do so. That means you wouldn't be able to attack while grappling a creature.
You should go with what would be the most fun for you, even if there are "better" options.
Having said that...
Being restrained at the same time as your target doesn't sound that great, to me. (But my characters rarely grapple, so I may not have thought it through.)
I'm wondering if Tavern Brawler might be useful. Your unarmed strike (or improvised weapon) is only 1d4, but if you hit, you can use a Bonus Action to Grapple. And you get to add +1 to either STR or CON.
(I would go with the dull choice, and add +1 to two of your physical stats. All of them are currently at 15 or 17, so getting them to 16 or 18 would boost your modifiers.)

Putting Eldeth and Skameros together on first watch. Same player.
Day 35 (half day):
Hold off before posting in the main thread. I need some details before going on.
