That standard grapple rules with grappler you can restrain (you and target) with your action on a grappled creature - which basically means I hold them and y'all just get advantage on attacks against it.
If you grapple someone, YOU are not restrained. You can move them with your movement, at double movement cost.
I'm talking about the second part of the Grapler feat (making a pin).
For the first part of that feat, if he is Raging, he will already have advantage on STR checks (like Athletics for grappling).

Right now I feel like Daffy Duck: "I'm a coward, but I'm a greedy coward." The smart thing would be to continue putting distance away from the Grove and towards our destination... but the idea of lair treasure has me voting for going after the Nothics (assuming we can track them).
So what do the rest of you want to do. I'm fine with either decision.
Also, don't forget to add 2 electrum to your inventory. (12 ep split 6 ways, including Jimjar and Eldeth.)

Narstin would probably vote for not trying to hunt down another fight if we don't have to.
Always keep the healer happy. The party ignores the nothics that ran away, and continues towards Blingdenstone.

Party finds 8 Trillimacs during their travel.
A trillimac is a mushroom that grows to a height of four to five feet, and has a broad gray-green cap and a light gray stalk. The cap’s leathery surface can be cut and cleaned for use in making maps, hats, and scrolls (its surface takes on dyes and inks well). The stalk can be cleaned, soaked in water for an hour, then dried to make a palatable food akin to bread. Each trillimac stalk provides 1d6 + 4 pounds of food.

Are we free to level up (as in do we get to survive a day and a long rest) ?
You can level up right away.

How far into the we are? If it's close to another long rwst then finding and clearing some supposedly secure lair would make a good place to rest.
It took half a day just to get out of the Grove with all the supplies you were carrying. You are all feeling like it's time for a good sleep.
Edit: So yes, if you decide to try and scout their lair, after the resulting fight you would be due for a long rest.
Edit2: Although, you have already been awarded XP for the two that ran away. I'm not going to treat it as another encounter with more XP.

Tick off one spell slot for water. I imagine Beegred will cast Goodberry before starting to take his long rest.
