Other useful equipment: waterskins, rations, backpack, sacks/pouches, tools, etc. If it has crossbow bolts, that should replace some of the party's spent ammunition.

Krizzibond still sleeps blissfully unaware that y'all just killed a drow scout to probably some larger raiding party that will eventually catch up to us and try to kill us in our sleep.

The drow is dead.
You do not understand the attire of the drow houses. This drow is wearing typical drow chain mail and there are no identifying insignia.
The drow has a coin purse with 11 silver and 8 copper. He has a pack with 2 days of rations and a half full waterskin. He has a hand crossbow and 18 poisoned bolts for it. There is a short sword slung to his belt.
You find a small journal with writing in it along with a tiny vial of ink.

Even though Sarith is disinterested and trying to go back to sleep, Beegred drags him over to the dead scout. "Do you recognize this one? Can you decipher the markings on the armor? Was it following us from Velkynvelve, or was it some random patrol person?"

Rodolfo says to Beegred, "I'd love to take a look at the journal and possibly keep it and the ink. Writing supplies are difficult to come by it seems."
He also approaches Eldeth after everyone has settled down again. "We seem to meet more drow and other people who speak undercommon. Would you mind teaching me some? We could practice during downtime and we also share the watch shift if the day happened to be too busy."
Rodolfo, you take a look at the script in the journal and don't recognize it. About half the book has been used up. The other half is blank. The whole book is approximately 4"x3"x1/2".
Rodolfo turns to the rest of the group, "I can't read this. Can any of you?"
(Xilyrah speaks Undercommon and Elvish. Probably try her next. )

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Eldeth agrees to begin teaching Rodolfo the Undercommon language.
Xilyrah looks at the journal and confirms the writing is elvish. The journal is just that, a journal. It contains several notes from the now deceased individual regarding business tasks, money owed, locations to travel to or from, etc...
Xilyrah Investigation: 2
Xilyrah doesn't feel there is anything of value in the pages of notes and flips to the last pages. There she finds mention of a bounty offered by House Mizzrym for "sightings or locations of a multi-race group of adventurers that attacked Velkinvelve and fled." This bounty note is followed up with rough descriptions matching the original party that escaped.
As the party prepares to leave, the corpse of the drow is dumped into a crevasse where it would be less likely to be stumbled upon. The party makes an effort to cover their campsite and tracks as they leave.
Make a group DC 16 Survival check to hide the campsite (1 person with advantage, or 2 rolls from 2 people).
Eldeth does her best to clean up the site before leaving for another day's travel. (rolled a 14 in the OOC thread) Spooked by the drow scout, the party decides to pick up the pace for this day's travel.
As Rodolfo reads the directions provided to him, he predicts the party will reach a 'rope bridge' this day. And sure enough, rounding a corner the party is faced with an 80 foot wide ravine that falls into darkness below. Across this ravine is a rickety rope bridge.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Let me have a look at this. I have a knack for understanding and constructing things, but a rope bridge is a first. Anyone know anything about bridges specifically?"
Rodolfo will approach the bridge carefully and inspect all of the parts that are reachable without stepping foot on the bridge itself.
Investigation check: 18
In case of any tears of failures within his reach, he will spend some time casting Mending and see if it helps.
The rope bridge appears to be made sturdy enough to support most medium races. Rodolfo figures it should support everyone present except maybe Derendil or Krizzibond with his armor.
For safety sake, Rodolfo repeatedly casts mending on the several ropes near the ledge and figures he could continue to do so as he crosses, given time.
Rodolfo says, "Looks good enough from this side. It's been a long day. We could tie a rope around me so I can check the rest of it."
"Actually that sounds like a good plan if I do say so myself. We are being followed as I've understood and being on the other side of a rope bridge would make it really easy to cut off anyone following us."
"What do you think?"

Seeing the drow turn to leave after spying the group, Eldeth immediately reacts and fires two arrows...
Eldeth Longbow Attack: 19 Damage: 10
Eldeth Longbow Attack: 10 Damage: 7
The first hits and lodges deep in the drow's back but the other shatters on the cavern wall.
Seeing Eldeth shoot, Xilyrah unleashes an Eldritch Blast...
Eldritch Blast Attack: 11 Damage: 7
... and snarls as it misses the drow.
Tozer bolts awake, stands and is already throwing a javelin before he even knows what he is throwing it at...
Javelin Attack: 18 Damage: 6
