Carmir blinks at Pok'im for a second, then grins at the bugbear. "Time to go to sleep," he says brightly. He yawns a big yawn, making a show of stretching. "We can work out details in the morning. Good night!" He says before quickly lying down and facing away from Pok'im.
So as Vruuk begins talking about what has happened so far, he more or less starts rattling it off like a list
1) worked at old man hagger's house and did odd jobs 2) Heard a bunch of noise coming from town and discovered it was a bunch of people in silver robes talking about cleansing the area and worshiping the silver lady 3) After finishing with Hagger and heading back to the house, they discovered everyone was gone 3.5) Discovered a secret underground vault full of traps that had been hiding a book that was obviously replaced the same night their parents and siblings were taken 4) They were then attacked by some bandits hired to burn down the house that they were told were empty 5) Went to a bar to meet the person that hired the bandits, a woman in a silver robe pointed them to someone working at the church by handing them a pamphlet for the church with her name on it 6)Beat up a guard to take his clothes in order to try to infiltrate the church, Pokim didn't get far but Vruuk managed to get a book containing a list of all the members of the church with some strange markings next to some of the names. 7)Went to the city watch and explained what happened, apologized for beating up the guard. Spoke with Captain Brock (head of the watch, half orc) 8) Captain Brock assigned Officer Penny to assist in tracking down what happened to their parents. 9) They went with Penny to a home where Vruuk had followed the carrage that had taken the lady that ordered their home to be burnt down, and discovered a jerk butler and a very sick woman that none of them (except Penny) was allowed to see. 10) When in the house, their sister found an [Tooltip Not Found] and they discovered evidence that the old woman may have been the sister of the original silver mother! 11) They also noticed that it looked as though the sister (who was sick and in bed that they never actually got to see) also has a daughter based on the paintings around the home. 12) Back at their home, they searched and discovered some old documents in their parents desk. It explained that Mr. Haggor was actually Grekor Hagger... the man from the stories your parents used to tell you about and the Silver Lady's Lover... before she went mad and evil. 13) At Haggers house, he revealed himself to be a wereboar after hearing the news about the Silver Lady and what sounds like their attempt to revive her or at least pass her power on to someone else. 14) Vruuk asked for the gift/curse of the wereboar and Hagger eventually agreed and gored the bugbear with his tusks and passed on the curse during the ongoing full moon. 15 They returned home where Cinders and Pokim had finished opening the collapsed mine-shaft that the kidnappers had shut behind them as they fled the house the night they stole your family. 16 They made there way into the darkness and while bickering disturbed a bunch of bats and stirges 17 They finished fighting them and found you!
So you all manages to get a long rest next to the smoldering fire. Each of you wake occasionally as dark critters scurry across your feet and arms but as far as you can tell nothing hostile approaches you during your slumber. You each wake up feeling more refreshed and ready to go in the dark damp cavern.
ooc: are you guys going deeper into the cavern or back home? Carmir, make me a history check to see if you remember the bedtime story your parents used to tell you, since Vruuk mentions it in his description of events.
Vruuk, for once, awakens of his own accord. Between a mighty yawn and much loud bone popping, the others awaken to the noise well before the Bugbear has a chance to try. Only the most stubborn receive further shaking out him, as well as a look of worry. Once everyone was properly stirring or awake, he makes a meal out of the creepy critters that tried nesting in his fur, took a bath in the nearby lake, and... so on.
".... We need go deeper. Three days is a bit much to hold off any longer. 'nd..."Vruuk, who had found a seat by the others, frowned and bowed his head. "'nd it'll be easier to trap me if... if things get a little outta hand." He looks to the others for confirmation.

Carmir gets ready for the day — quietly and alone as much as possible. When he is washed and his clothes are immaculate (thanks to prestidigitation), he points a finger at Vruuk at the conclusion of his suggestion. "Just what I was going to say," he grins. "Deeper. In the. Tunnels."
So as everyone gets up and gathers their things, you begin making your way deeper down into the old silver mine. The stone walls of the mine are rough and the occasional glint of silver catches your eye as you push forward along in the dark. Every so often you can see an unlit lantern hanging from some of the old wooden support beams that are spaced every few dozen feet. After about ten minutes of walking, you find yourself at an intersection with tunnels heading to the left, right, straight, and of course the way you came.
***Everyone give me perception checks and survival checks please!***
Carmir - So since you were not as young when you came to live with and were adopted by Ruby and Slate, you never payed a whole lot of attention to the story they would tell your younger siblings. That being said... you still over heard it many times and so you would still be familiar with much of the story below.
A long time ago, there was a beautiful woman with long flowing silver hair. Her name was Shektra… and she was one of the most kind and pure people in all the land. She was so beautiful and everyone liked her so much that people started to warship her. As more and more people began to warship her, she began to develop divine magical powers and her eyes started to glow with a radient white light. At first she only used those powers for good... but one day, a particularly handsome and charming follower caught her eye. His name was Greckar. The two of them fell in love and she kept a journal of their time together written in celestial. This journal became known as the Tome of Tears. She would spend lots and lots of time writing down her thoughts, her feelings, and about her new love. Often times when thinking about Greckar while writing in the journal, the pages would become stained with tears of joy. One day, Greckar asked Shektra to meet him under the full moon near a small oak tree planted in the center of their village. That night, Greckar revealed to her that he was actually a wereboar. The beautiful man transformed before her eyes and while appearing grotesque and pig-like tried to embrace the woman he loved but she could not do it. She pushed him away and ran off… leaving him alone under the tree. That night she wept tears of sorrow and rage into her journal. The following day she ordered her followers to capture Greckar, declaring him to be an evil monster but he was able to escape into the forest. The love inside of Shektra turned to hate… She believed that she had been lied to by a monster… and that all monsters were evil… Her once beautiful looks started to fade as she allowed herself to become more filled with anger, causing her to begin wearing a silver mask depicting a beautiful woman’s face. Shektra still wrote in her journal every night.. But now the writings were full of hate and anger.. Perverting the book and as she shed tears of anger into it... as she bound her soul to it. Over time, she became obsessed with purifying the land of all the creatures that she considered filthy... Ordering her followers to capture and kill anyone that she considered to be a filthblood. She succeeded in driving away any of the still good followers that remembered her as she was… As she used to be. One day, a pair of her followers that had seen what she had become managed to sneak into the Silver Mothers chamber and steal the now evil and powerful book of tears and hid it somewhere safe... When Shekra discovered the book was missing.. she became enraged and using her divine powers, killed countless followers for allowing someone to steal her book before she was ultimately defeated by the same pair of followers that had stolen her book… Those two followers knew that she had become the real monster… and after locating and making sure that Greckar was OK, they worked with him to ensure that all races were loved and cared for while also being forever vigilant to make sure that no one ever discovered the Book of Tears…. For it is said to contain the soul of Shekra.. the Silver Mother… and will try to convince anyone who possesses it to continue her work. But as long as the book of tears is hidden and being protected by the two brave heroes there is nothing to fear.
Instinctively, Vruuk began going about sniffing at the entrances of each tunnel. But with a grumble he turns back to the others and says, "Too damp. Can't get a proper scent any which way."
Vruuk looks to the opposing paths; and for a moment, it looks as if he might take the other ones. However, he sighs, and eventually trundles along after Carmir, bow in hand and nose occasionally stuck up in the air to sniff around the place.

So as Pokim and Vruuk stand in the center of the intersection, they are unable to find any signs of anyone passing through recently as all the tunnels appear to be nearly identicle. Carmir, having been through this area recently is able to point out the very feint footsteps in the dirt that he had been following backwards as he searched for a way out of the mine. About the same time the teifling points out the markings on the ground, Cinders is nearly knocked over by the furious sniffing of his dog as Vignar picks up a scent and tries to take off down the tunnel with the markings that Carmir had pointed out.
Cinders, please give me an animal handling or strength check to keep the dog from running down the tunnel without you all.
(@All: Now I got this image of Cinder failing the check, and being half-dragged/riding the dog down the tunnel)
Vruuk jumps at the noise, and just kind of stares off in the direction folk run to after the dog. Then it clicks in his head. "Wha!? Eh! Wait fer me!" He calls out as he takes off after the others.

As the dog takes off down the tunnel, Cinders is able to quickly grab Vignar by the back of his neck and pull himself in to the back charging animal. Holding on tightly, Vignar Nd Cinders disappear into the dark as Pokim, Vruuk, and Carmir race to keep up. As you all go deeper into the mine at a rapid pace, passing countless other tunnels branching off in different directions as you all zig and zag attempting to keep up with the dog,The walls and floor of the shaft begins to change. Carmir quickly realizes that the surroundings no longer look familiar.. That this is farther down than he had been prior to escaping. Vignar begins to slow and then stops around 100 feet from a heavy wooden door with a faint light shining from underneath.
Vruuk slows to a stop not long after, winded and annoyed, but otherwise ready to go at a moments notice. Seeing the door up ahead, the first true smile to grace his face in days blooms in his features. But he quickly stops it to grab Pok'im if it looks as if he might charge the door. He puts a finger up to his lips, and then gestures for all to approach quietly as he moves forward to start sneaking up to the door. If they can get as far without alerting whatever might be on the other side, he tries to peek inside without attracting attention.
Carmir mimics Vruuk (not negatively), also encouraging Pok'im to remain quiet, then stealthily approaches the door right behind the bugbear and listens for what might be going on behind it. He pats Vignar — again, rather awkwardly — as he passes, and gives Cinders an encouraging hand gesture.
Carmir blinks at Pok'im for a second, then grins at the bugbear. "Time to go to sleep," he says brightly. He yawns a big yawn, making a show of stretching. "We can work out details in the morning. Good night!" He says before quickly lying down and facing away from Pok'im.
