Angie yawns and looks to her friends, "So, after sleeping on my ontological revelation of last night, I have decided it is a dead end. At least for now. If my experiences do not correspond to a real external existence that we all share then none of my actions or inquiries have purpose and there is no reason to continue on. I think that the best way to proceed is to act as though my experiences are informed by some sort of objective reality, at least until I have more experimental resources and access to more academic minds off of which to bounce hypotheses." So saying Angie looks around the hut, "So what's for breakfast?"
Timil looks at you with a wide smile and says, “That’s very nice dear. You sure seem very smart. I’ve got some fish stew if you’d like! I can also whip up some fish cakes and roe if you’d like. You all earned on account of you saving me from one of them demons of course!”
Angie eats the fish soup and say, "We did promise you we would try to retrieve your Elk and we meant it. Is there anything that your Elk might respond to if she saw it? Maybe some sort of toy or a favorite salt lick? If you have some extra food for lunch and maybe a mid morning snack that might be helpful too."
“Of course,” Timil replies as he wraps some fish cakes in large leaves for you all. “This should be enough fer yer lunch and I believe I got some.. ah yes, here ya go.. some fish jerky fer a snack. As fer Timil... just call her name when ya see her, she’ll come to ya if she senses ya have good intentions. Smart girl she is.”
Angie turns up the bowl of fish soup and pours it into her dainty mouth. A small amount of the soup spills out of the corner of her mouth and she wipes at it with her forearm as she puts the bowl down with the other hand. "Hmmmmm." She says contentedly leaning back, her eyes closed.
"OK." She says as she leans forward and stands to her feet. "It's time to find that Elk. Let's go guys." She gestures at the door to her companions, and straightens and tightens her armor.
"We are headed towards the lake just North of Timil's place. Maybe he gets all his fish from there?" Angie says, pondering a bit. "When we get to the lake maybe we should do some fishing. In any case, keep your eyes open for that white female Elk."
You walk north for roughly ten minutes and spot the edge of a creek. The creek likely leads to the lake Timil spoke about and Angie reminded you of.
Like a glittering sword, the sun’s rays beam down into the forest and draw silvery lines in the small creek. You decided to follow it in hopes it will take you to the forest lake. Another ten minutes go by and you come to the edge of a small waterfall. Looking over the edge you can see it spills over and feeds into a small lake at the bottom of a twenty foot drop. The water on the lake sparkles in the morning sun and the soft sonorous sound of the waterfall makes it all feel predetermined. The sight causes you to pause for a moment and forget that you just battled an undead demon only an hour prior.
Looking around you see there is a towpath leading down from the waterfall to the banks of the lake. It might take you a few minutes to walk down it, but it might be better than plunging into the lake via the waterfall.
Angie looking out at the lake you see the water is so crystal clear that the light reflecting off of its glassy surface seems to dance in the morning sun. From your vantage point descending the path the lake appears to be very shallow and you see an object shining up from the bottom. It is small, circular, and gold. It looks like it may be a ring of some sort.
Angie points out her finding and you look up from the path. You trip on a rock and fall forward landing a few feet further down the path with a "thump".
Timil looks at you with a wide smile and says, “That’s very nice dear. You sure seem very smart. I’ve got some fish stew if you’d like! I can also whip up some fish cakes and roe if you’d like. You all earned on account of you saving me from one of them demons of course!”
*yawn* " Breakfast sounds great! I'm starved!"
Timil hands you a bowl
Timil hands you a bowl of fish soup and asks, “So, are ya headed out this mornin’? Need anything for the road?”

As they get out of earshot, Thokein says, "Where did he find so much fish I wonder?"
Make a survival check please.
"There might be a body of water nearby. Fish don't appear out of nowhere, do they? We can ask if you're curious big fella."

"We should take this path down. Maybe the elk came to the water and we might find some tracks or something down there."
"I agree" Angie says, "The path seems like the better option."
