"It is not good." Yolov answers Valentine as he squats down to inspect the mess. He pulls down his goggles, only to immediately pull it up and mutter with mirth behind his tone a "Whoops, wrong headwear." After a moment or two, he smiles and cants his head to the side. "Eh? Split up? Por qui? No need to split. Misinterpret I think. Entropic beings has merely acquired prey, this one thinks. Cannot tell what type, but possibility of Modron."Yolov explains before kneeling and leaning in to give the sludge a few curious sniffs.
"Though Master did say beings, so possible of multiple subjects scattered within area... Would not advise a division of force." He says off-handedly as he considers the scent, comparing its usefulness in collecting as vile of it, if not noting what produced it.
Coseris standing towards the back of the group. "I don't believe splitting up will be in our best interests. But if we must I have a way of communicating with one person from the other group and they may reply to my Message. My only concern is all this metal may hinder the spell's effectiveness."

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Mordecai fixes Yolov with a glare. "Their potential division might just be what necessitates ours. But I agree with you analysis. Let's follow the trails, then, shall we?" He turns and begins to stomp forward, following the trails around the side of the wall. He remains vigilant, but is more focused on not losing the trail in the bright light of the Modron city.
The group follows the obvious trail of slick oily substance along the ground as they continue onwards for several minutes. Up ahead they note what appears to be a darkened corner on the edge of the cog they are stood upon, where spires of metal reach high up into the sky almost like an artificial forest. The trail leads to within the shade of these spires.
There is a large rumble in the ground, as the group feels a huge force as the sky above them seems to move. It takes a few seconds to realise it is actually the ground they are upon moving as the enormous cog connects teeth with another area of this Lawful Plane. Where the treeline is, beyond another part of this plane is now connected.
Glad to see a sign of shade, Mordecai moves forward, trying to get out of the light where his vision is painfully blurred. He is generally unconcerned about the changing plains beyond, having already marveled at Mechanus's wonders upon arrival.
If he reaches the "trees" without encountering anything, he will rest his back against one of the "trees" and wait for the party to follow.
Watching in wonder as the world literally shifts under his feet Warx keeps moving along with the group as they head to the edge of the darkened and tree-like area. He walks along side Mordecai for a bit and says to him, "Keeping the group together is a good play. I think I'm getting the hang of using my magic in this reality." He then produces an illusion of a cog in each hand, then moves them together until they mesh and begin to spin in unison. The illusion lasts for quite a while before fading out of sight.
Mordecai squints at the illusion, then raises an appreciative eyebrow. "Not bad, Warx. One wonders when that skill will come in handy. And yes, staying together for now does seem wise. I wonder if one day our powers will be such that we would deal with such threats alone - as Mordekainen clearly has in the past - or in small groups, using our powers in sync."
Now in the shade of the trees, Mordecai turns and is finally able to get a decent view. "So bright. Your lucky I've spent time on the surface - some of my countrymen would be delirious at the sight of open sky, and might find the pain of bright light unbearable."
After watching Bankahn fall comedically, he turns and peaks through the trees. The bright light still hinders his vision, however. "Warx, would you mind...?"
Yolov seems to anticipate the change, and braces himself on instinct. But without a word or further concern, he follows on along muttering and fiddling with his hands. "Edge of cogs are risky too. Messes with momentum. Best to avoid any tussels there. Once knew a Gith who'd gone and purported an Aasimar had met such a faith. It was funny." Yolov comments on after going over to aid Bankhan in standing up. Not that the Loxodon needed the aid.

The group catches up to the side of the spires. As they are discussing there is a creaking and groaning noise as they can see one of the spires falling from its rooted position and crashes onto the ground.
Valentine, looking around the area, spots near where the spire fell some sort of amorphous creature with a silvery grey hue sliding along the ground, looking like it is headed towards the newly connected cog. Stuck out of the top of it appears to be a mechanical wing, as if it got stuck in there.

As the spire falls Coseris turns his attention towards the noise it made, peering through the timbers to see anything that would have caused it or if it fell from the movement of the cogs.
Corseris looks to the fallen spire. It looks like something bored through the bottom of it, cutting it apart from the ground.
Vax looks at the creature. While its form and movement resemble that of a large ooze, there is something else off about it. It appears to "know" where it is going, whereas oozes are non-sentient so generally are missing such cognitive function.
"This creature is different from oozes I've seen before. It moves with a direction and purpose that common oozes lack. But I can't tell you anything more about this creature."

Bankahn falls on his face with a grunt, greatsword jangling. From inside his pack, Udo gives a squawk.
"Umph. Sorry," Bankahn mutters, standing slowly.
And that's all I have to say about that.
