You six sit around a sturdy wooden table lit by a brightly burning candle and littered with plates cleared of food and half-drained tankards. The sounds of gamblers yelling and drunken adventurers singing bawdy songs nearly drown out the off-key strumming of a young bard three tables over.
Before we move on, i’d like you to each take a moment to describe your character.
On a side note: here are the handouts that i’m supposed to give you:
Fionn is bout 5'10 red hair green eyes and a ready smile. dressed in leather armor and otherwise in greens and browns with a mace at his side and an unmarked shield cross his back
Flynn looks up towards the ceiling "Yes another ale would be wondrous" then to the others, "Anyone else?"
A rakishly bedraggled tiefling with red skin and small rams horns lounges back in his chair, an instrument case wedged protectively between his legs. He winces every time the bard starts up another song, and lets out a sigh of relief whenever he finishes. Even with his appearance of total relaxation, a discerning observer could see some hidden source of tension eating away at him. He'll occasionally toy with a small knife, flipping it over his fingers over and over again until he drops it (which happens rather often).

Piton is around 6' with an off-pink crest and light magenta feathers. his eyes are little navy blue ovals. In a leather vest and a fancy shirt lightly bloodied underneath. with a dim yellow cape covering his right arm, a longbow and quiver slung across his back. he has a dagger inside his cape, vest, one on his hip and pretty much any other easily concealed place. lastly, he has a rapier on his belt with an ornate handle; like wings surrounding his hand.
The slightly tipsy birdfolk holds up his thumb "I'd like... hmm.... two more ales!" He puts his thumb down and let's it rest on the table.
Shere is a 6ft tall Tabaxi weighing about 180lbs, with markings like a Bengal tiger. Wearing a thick leather vest and chaps (gotta have room for the tail!), Shere is also adorned with little baubles and feathers, each frequently distracting him when there isn't a more pressing issue at hand. When he is relaxed, his deep purr can be heard throughout the entire room. Right now he is fiddling with a gold coin and drinking a mug of mead. Shere's Yklwa is slung over the chair he is sitting at.
Looking at his mead, "I am fine with what I have for now" He says in a deep voice before the purring begins again.
Uradurk is a large, grey half-orc. He’s not wearing a shirt, and only probably wearing pants. He’s got a great axe slung over his shoulder. He’s a bit clumsy and fairly stupid, but his skin’s tough as leather and he’s built like a rock.
Despite his barbaric temperament, Uradurk is a tea-totaler. He thinks that not having alcohol helps him keep keen senses.
Cassius Nero, a red Kobold in sorcerer's robes sits confidently at the table. He is covered in Kobold and Draconic iconography, the markings on his robes, the symbols engraved on his staff, and the modest jewelry he wears all emphasize his Draconian nature.
The simple clothing that he wore marked Cassius as one of the numerous poor plebeian denizens of Waterdeep. His robes were simple cloth, he wielded an oaken staff and wore simple wooden jewlery. But he carried himself with dignity. With great care he had etched his belongings and tattooed his skin with ancient draconian symbolism from Kobold legend. If there are any other Kobolds at The Yawning Portal he will make a point to greet them, using the draconian word for “brother”.

Suddenly, all the noise is eclipsed by a shout: "Ya pig! Like killin' me mates, does ya?" Then a seven-foot-tall half- orc is hit by a wild, swinging punch from a male human whose shaved head is covered with eye-shaped tattoos. Four other humans stand behind him, ready to jump Into the fray. The half-orc cracks her knuckles, roars, and leaps at the tattooed figure- but before you can see if blood is drawn, a crowd of spectators clusters around the brawl. What do you do?

"Now, I'd have to disagree with part of that. It appears this was less for the sake of combat than for the sake of proving a point. Barbaric? Perhaps. Worthless? Probably not."

"what shall we do today, friends? any ideas on what to do?" he looks over at the barmaid "could I also get some wine? chilled if you can."

Being of good standing, Piton sits back sipping his wine.
Uradurk wants in on the fun. He pushes his way through the crowd to get a better view.

Uradurk, you see that the half-orc has the human pinned to the ground, with the other four humans poised to tackle her.
In an attempt to be on the “good” side, Uradurk asks someone next to him, “Who started it?”

Fionn watches casually
then with a wink to Amakos Fionn mutters softly and casts Thaumaturgy causing the lights around the fight to brighten

Shere's purring stops. Rising to his feet he moves a little closer to the fray, really not trying to push in to get close

Cassius seems annoyed and scowled at the men, muttering some obscenity in Draconic.
He nodded to the others at the table the gestured derisively at the brawl “Filthy goons..”

"I agree, combat for the sake of combat is utterly barbaric and worthless" he adds to Cassius' comment.
Amakos raises a finger lazily.
"Now, I'd have to disagree with part of that. It appears this was less for the sake of combat than for the sake of proving a point. Barbaric? Perhaps. Worthless? Probably not."
