Mucor would continue to ask button to tag along on the mission, offering him a spot on his back before whistling to stonewing. "Friends, I think we will need your assistance!" He would shout to the griffons with a smile to Button.
You each make your preparations and return to the grove ready for battle. "I will be sending you a few miles north of the last known location of Rhazal." Herbert says as you each mount up on your griffons and Herbert opens a portal in the tree. You all exit on the edge of a dense evergreen forest on Zhora. The sun is just cresting the horizon and the cool crisp air of night still hangs in the air. Valeera's form reverts to a dragon and you take flight and look around taking in the surrounding area and spread out beginning to move south.
Everyone make a perception check and roll initiative!
Aryn and Zinmaer- As you fly up to about 200 feet you see trails of smoke in a large open area to the north roughly 6-8 miles away. You notify the group and make your way in that direction. You fly for nearly an hour and as you approach you see hundreds of bodies coming into battle formations. To the east of the congregation are an assortment of tents, huts and bonfires. As you get within 2000 feet you hear the thud of war drums and watch the battle commence. To the east the archer and mage armies of Eshan stand behind a tight phalanx with angled flanks of Haemor spearmen as the drekthar horde charge from the west lead by ogres and orcs.
(To make this more interactive for all of you, you'll get your first taste of how combat works with your castle army groups. Group 1 will be the army groups of Eshan and Haemor played by Aryn & Mucor. Group 2 will be the army groups of the drekthar played by Gaelin, Jinara & Zinmaer. You don't get to determine what the army groups will do but your get to roll competing dice to see which groups win each round of the battle. The course of the battle will shift narratively based on your rolls. Aryn & Mucor- You will each roll 2D8 on your turn to determine your army group's impact on the battle. Gaelin & Jinara- You will each roll 1D8 on your turn and Zinmaer will roll 2D8 (He rolled the highest on perception so he gets the extra dice.) Once all turns and rolls have been posted I will script the battle results based on the cumulative total of Group 1's dice vs Group 2's dice then we'll start the next round of initiative order. If you roll an 8 it counts as a 10 for extra effect.)

Gaelin touches his earpiece and says to everyone, "I've got an idea but I don't know if Aryn, Zinmaer and Mucor are going to like it... mainly Aryn. What if we head east and and go after the orc commanders by having Aryn jump off 3-400 feet in the air and I can cast [spell]Feather Fall[spell] on her. She can pick off the commanders from the sky while Mucor & Zinmaer fly down into the fray with the commanders. Jinara, Valeera and I will stay in the air and attack the orc army from behind with ranged spells out of their range. Mucor, I know you also have some ranged spells but I think we need someone with the ability to heal to tag along Aryn and Zinmaer. You're a bit tougher than me but if you'd rather join us I can go with them. What do you think?"

"I'm not opposed to the idea but couldn't I just stay on Calypso and shoot arrows while flying instead of falling? The rest of it sounds good, I just don't know if I trust your aim when it comes to only my life or death... Looks like we're getting the old crew together Mucor and Zinmaer! I think this may prove a more worthy fight than those bandits though." Aryn replies as she heads east.
"Yes, that would be perfect. You could even approach slightly from the west and start the cloud over the group just west of the commanders. (I think that's what you mean right?) Just make sure you tell your griffons to fly back up as soon as you land. " Gaelin says to Mucor and Zinmaer then turns to Aryn, "Yes, but it will be so much cooler if you float down to the ground like Mary Poppins from the books our father used to read me. Didn't he ever read those to you?"
