(Mithral doesn't remove the need for proficiency but does remove penalties for stealth checks and strength requirements. Heat metal doesn't melt just turns it really hot to be bent or broken.)
Inara senses Mucor's disappointment and says, "Don't worry brother. There will always be plenty to do. Leave the intricate work to us and visit with your new friend Button." You follow one of the druids to a tree and return to your stronghold. (Castle Daybreak?) The evening sun sits low on the horizon and you make your way into the keep for food. Upon entering the Dining hall you find a chest sitting in the middle of the floor. You open it and find 500 platinum and 5000 gold with a note that says, On behalf of the Hydal mine, we bestow this reward to the (Silverlight? Light Bringers?) for services rendered in clearing the mine.
"Well that's a pleasant surprise... We should probably move this to the vault. I'll leave my portion in the chest should we need it for something else." I'll grab some food if there is any out on the table and turn back to the group and say, "Good work today everyone. I don't know about you but I'm beat. I'm going to go visit Valeera then fall on my bed and take a nice long nap. I'll see you in the morning." I'll leave to visit Valeera with food in hand or if there wasn't any just my backpack.
If Valeera is home Gaelin will come in and say, "We're back. Tired... and bruised... but back."
Aryn eyes will gleam as the chest opens revealing the gold and platinum. "I guess it really was an important mine. I'll also leave mine in for the vault. It'll be good to have a rainy day fund." Aryn grins slyly as she watches Gaelin leave then turns to Mucor with a smile. "So about that Mithral. Wanna go visit the blacksmith?"
(If you want I can keep track of things in the vault for us. Just let me know how much and what it is you're putting in. I have a feeling Xtra isn't going to keep track for us with everything else he's got.)
(Gold, platinum, personal belongings are all y'alls responsibility. ;D)
There is a spread of food out on the table of various meats, vegetables and fruits. You find Valeera napping on her stone platform and she perks up as she feels your presence enter her den. Her eyes glow brightly as she hears your voice and rushes up to meet you rubbing her head and neck against your shoulder then pulls back slightly to to inspect you. "Are you okay? Did you get hurt? Where did you go?" she says waiting eagerly to hear about your journey then looks to the pool remembering what you said. "Wanna tell me in the pool? I can make it nice and warm."
When the group arrives to find the chest of gold, Mucor would pull the chunks of mithral from his bag and place them nearby. "I would like to keep one of these but the other three are up for grabs..." The Minotaur would say with a snort. Looking to Gaelin, the minotaur would nod his large horned head. "I agree... I am going to head out to the grove if anyone needs me... or just wants to talk.. but first I have something I want to do." The minotaur would say with a snort.
Mucor would take 100 gold and 10 platinum coins on his way out and make his way to the smithy. Sitting the chunk of ore on his anvil, Mucor would lock eyes with the blacksmith. "I would like make a a beautifully ornate chest out of this....." The minotaur would say as he gestures to the chunk. "I am sure I could find and manipulate some wood into whatever shapes are required if there is not enough material here to do so... or if you need any wood accents" The minotaur would continue. "I had originally thought about making a mold by shaping stone and then melting the ore down and pouring it into the mold to make a statue... or some other nice piece... but I think perhaps a chest of some kind might be more useful."
(Gold, platinum, personal belongings are all y'alls responsibility. ;D)
(I am going to add all of mucor's share to his character sheet then (100 platinum and 1000 gold).. I am totally fine with most of the money going into the vault and being part of a pot or whatever, I am just adding it so I know where it is going and making sure it doesn't get forgotten... because I will forget otherwise :D It might be best if we all keep track of our own gold and add it to our sheets even if it is *all in the vault* just to make things easier.)
Initially the sound of swimming in a pool didn't sound pleasing to Gaelin but when she mentioned heating it up he looked down at himself and realized he was due for a nice bath. "I'm fine. I promised I would come back and I have. Now about that dip in the pool.", Gaelin says as he takes off his armor and clothes revealing bruises and burns from the battle. Then he'll hop in the giant tub and wait for Valeera to join him before starting to tell her about the journey, fighting numerous goblins, death dogs, cultists Daegon and the Behir.
(Is there a section of the pool that doesn't require me to tread water? That's where I'd be if so.)
(Also, Gaelin just wants a small chunk, maybe 5-10 lbs of ore. I noted the gold and platinum on my sheet as well but I'm all for a master list for the vault if you're up to it. May come in handy if we need to know a total rather than wait for all of us to look it up and do some dreaded maths. :D )

If you want to be the team banker, that is fine with me. Mucor will just take the gold he said and the other 900 gold and 90 platnum can go into the vault ***party funds***
Aryn would follow behind Mucor with another chunk in hand that she places beside of Mucors and says, "I also want a chest but smaller. About 2ft x 1ft x 1ft and I want a sword that will be as strong and powerful as a longsword but light enough to hold in my left hand."
(Trying to get a light longsword that has the finesse property for off hand in the event of some close quarter combat if that's even a possibility.)
(I'm good with whatever everyone wants to do in terms of vault items.)
Mucor was going to take the large ornate chest and put 10 platinum in it (rattling around inside) and give it to Valeera as a thank you for watching over Button while He was away... He figured since she is a dragon just starting to get her own treasure horde, she might like a nice place to put her treasures.
Zinmaer grabs a piece of mithral and follow Mucor and Aryn to the blacksmith
My idea for Zinmaer is to augment his quarterstaff to have blade put on the each end. I would love to accomplish 1 or both of these things through this process: 1) be able to increase the damage by a die. 2) extend Zin's reach to 10 ft while using this weapon.
The remaining platinum and gold would go into the party vault and whatever is needed to keep Valeera happy.
Mucor would take a step sideways, giving Aryn more room as she made her requests as well. Looking down to her over his shoulder he would give a small snort. "Your skill with the bow is impressive" he would say with a small grin.
Mucor & Aryn- The blacksmith, currently finishing up on his project for Gaelin stands somewhat cornered by Mucor and Aryn who list their wishes. He looks down at the chunks of metal and quickly tries to remember what was asked before saying, "Umm... is that Mithral? I'm not as well versed in Mithral as I am with Steel and leathers. I can inquire for a dwarf or elf who may be able to assist with these. I know the elves make light, dexterous blades with mithral that should meet the description of the sword you're requesting M'lady. In terms of the chest, any dwarf or elf would love the chance to design and create an original piece of art from these chunks of metal. What size chest were you looking to make sir." he says looking at Mucor.
(While I'd love for everything to be easy in this campaign it would take away from the somewhat realism within this fantasy world I'm trying to maintain. Using Blacksmith artisan as the example: Your current smithy is 1st level, you have the ability to level the smithy up to 5th level. Each level allows for an additional smith, material knowledge (mithral, adamantine, dragon, etc) and increases the number of jobs they can perform at one time. A 2nd (2 smiths& items +1 new material) or 3rd (3 smiths & items +2 new materials) level smithy would be plenty for what you require. The cost to level any artisan shop from 1st to 2nd is 1000 gold and from 2nd to 3rd is 1500 gold. Each upgrade in level takes 1 week. If you pay to jump multiple levels the time is only 1 week. The artisan costs and benefits are listed in the campaign notes for reference. Cost of upgrade does not include cost of the job. Common side effects of this campaign include: fatigue, random character death/ departure, maths, and dragon love. Xtracrispy is not responsible for any bad rolls on smithing checks or unforeseen dangers that result in TPK from nat 1's.)
Gaelin- You find an 8 ft section that serves as a resting place for Valeera when she wants to lie in the water and is roughly 2-3 feet deep. You lean against the stone wall and watch as Valeera excitedly enters the pool sending a large ripple through the water that splashes your face. The water is cool but within a minute of Valeera entering you feel the water warm to about 90 degrees. She listens intently as you tell her of the many battles within the depths of the mine and licks at your wounds. Her long tongue is hot but soothing. You relax and lean forward facing the wall and feel the water suddenly ripple. The tongue has been replaced by what feels like hands. You turn and see Valeera sitting behind you in her human form, red hair dangling down into the water. She grabs a cloth from your pack and begins to rub your bruises and burns gently. "I've been practicing all day while you were gone. I can hold it for a few minutes now." She continues to rub your bruises for a short time while you continue to talk about your battles then you see her put the cloth back against the side of the pool. You watch as she pushes off the wall and floats towards the center of the pool and transforms back into a dragon. A large wave of water splashes over you as the pool adjusts to this sudden change. She swims back to you smiling and says "Pretty good right?"
(GASP! Naked dragon woman! You should tell her you aren't that impressed and that you saw a guy turn into a giant ape for a whole hour earlier..... I am sure it will be fine)
Mucor would look to the dwarf. "Large enough to to hold a dragon's horde... or at least the start of one" The mintaur would say with a smile. "I don't have any idea how large a chest you can make with this... but like I said.. I can probably supply top quality wood and probably leather too add if needed.
(Obviously we need to pour all our money into the blacksmith!)
(Mucor trying to steal my girl with the chest! lol i don't wanna get burnt more than I already am. I'll put in 500 for the smithy and depending on what the arcanist does might drop some more on that.)
Gaelin would smile and continue to talk about the journey closing his eyes as he was caressed by both the dragon and dragon lady. "Not bad at all. Which reminds me...the best part of the battle with the Behir... Zinmaer was being crushed by the behir then Mucor turned Zinamer into a Giant Ape! He was huge, even bigger than you but no where near as beautiful." then Gaelin would continue talking about the battle. After an hour or two Gaelin would begin to talk about rest and head off to his quarters to sleep telling Valeera, "Sleep well. I'll see you tomorrow."
(Mithral doesn't remove the need for proficiency but does remove penalties for stealth checks and strength requirements. Heat metal doesn't melt just turns it really hot to be bent or broken.)

(Working over Zinmaer's items. lol Everyone left Jinara just sitting by the table eating by himself.)
(haha Jinara is sitting up there counting the gold plotting on how to spend it muhahahaha :) )
(@Xtra: can you break down the arcanist upgrade costs like you did for the blacksmith?)
(Oooh can Aryn also get an assassins creed blade added to each of her bracers?)
Aryn talks to the blacksmith about the augmented bracer concept and if it would be possible.
