"Mucor, If you're up for it I say we head that way immediately. If we need to spend a night in town to wait for the bandits we can." Aryn says. (If Mucor is ready) Aryn will look to Zinmaer and say, "Saddle up Zinamer! We leave in 5 minutes."
(ya good luck reading all of it. Short version: We're the Lightbringers and we have a castle called Daybreak... we have a dragon and griffons and we're awesome. Also Xtra is more awesome for letting all that happen.)
Mucor would summon his skeletons to him after they finish hauling around the new loot and instruct them to get into his bag of holding. Once they were inside, he would mount up on iron wing. "Are we bringing Darin? I think we should bring him with us..." The minotaur would say with a smile. He may be able to help us to get close to these bosses..." He would say as he grabs the man by the back of his shirt and places him on the back of ironwing.
(OOC: Yeah, Xtra is pretty great! Also Mucor has awakened a few trees... some awesome bears... and three owls.. so don't get scared if random animals start talking to you... Oh... and Button... Button is a bid deal)
(OOC: Heads up, I will be on vacation from Sunday 6/23 through 6/27. I might be able to post a little but it will be very limited and from my phone. Feel free to control my character durning that time so that I am not holding up the game. )
Aryn, Mucor and Zinmaer mount their griffons and take off into sky heading towards the sun. The hot afternoon heat bakes you for about an hour before you see the outskirts of a town in the middle of a field beyond a forest. You see a small plume of black smoke growing into the sky and as you approach you see a small building on fire. Seven men mount up on horses and begin to flee the town. You quickly dive and land on the road roughly 150 feet in front of them They pull up on their horses to slow their pace but continue moving forward as they shout, "If you know what's good for you, you'll get out of our way!"
" You realize we've killed twice as many bandits earlier this morning... in a matter of seconds... and those were the lucky ones.. My new friend here will describe to you our... efficiency " Mucor would say pointing his thumb over his shoulder to Darin.
intimidation 20
mucor would also pull his bag of holding from his belt and dump out its contents on to the ground next to him... sending four goblin skeletons clattering to the ground on the road next to him.
*** Mucor keeps nearly all his equipment in his normal pack.. keeping the bag of holding free for gathering corpses for button and larger items so it wouldnt have anything else in it currently other than the skeletons.
(Just so the presentation is out of the way, here is Jinara's presentation of the medallion to Gaelin)
As Jinara walks towards Gaelin and Bronze Claw, he approaches the griffon and places a necklace around his neck. Bronze Claw stands proud as the jewelry is donned, but then settles as Jinara tightens the necklaces and runs his fingers through his feathers. Jinara says "There there. This will help protect your companion. As long as you wear this, he can better protect you...and you her." He walks around to Gaelin and says "This is yours. It is the pair to his necklace and links you two together. As long as both of you are wearing it, your enemies will struggle to make purchase on their attacks against you." The bracelet is of the same material and coloration as Bronze Claw's necklace, just a bit smaller. (OoC @Gaelin: As long as you wear the bracelet and Bronze Claw wears the necklace, you can cast Blur 2 times per day. The necklace is intended to stay with Bronze Claw, but any one who rides him and wears that bracelet can gain that benefit. This way, if any of party needs to ride Bronze Claw for whatever reason, the new rider can gain that benefit. I am sure our beloved DM will have a new rider make some kind of a check so they can't just take your griffon, but the opportunity is available.)
(Not sure where this falls in the timeline of the current encounter, but it is out there now. Enjoy!)
Gaelin will listen intently as Jinara talks and rub Bronze Claws neck to calm him. "Thank you Jinara. I will make sure no harm comes to Bronze Claw and this medallion will aid me in that." Gaelin will then mount Bronze Claw, focus and cast the spell. "Thank you again friend. I'm going to test this out some more." Gaelin says a wide smile on his face. He leans in and Bronze Claw takes a few steps before taking off into the air. Gaelin will look down at Jinara and wave. Gaelin will then go to some of the guards and have them take some arrow shots at them.
Darin, who is still somewhat shell shocked from what happened to him on what he thought would be just another day, pipes up and says, "You should listen to them. They can be quite reasonable if you don't attack them."
The group of men stops in their tracks and looks anxiously at one another. "Maybe they we'rent as tough as us" one of them says. "Look just let us pass and we'll be on our way. There's no need for bloodshed." says another voice.
(No combat as of yet. You have their attention. Despite your scaring them they aren't keen on being arrested, likewise they aren't too happy about the prospect of death.)
Gaelin & Jinara- you watch as Gaelin focuses and casts the spell then his and Bronze Claw's forms begin to shift side to side. As he takes off and begins to wave you're not sure if he's waving or if it's the effects of the spell. Gaelin, the guards have trouble hitting you but one manages to hit Bronze Claw in the wing. Since you were just practicing the blunted arrow leaves little more than a bruise which you quickly heal.
Aryn will step off of Calypso and cast Hunter’s Mark on the one in the front and pull out her bow notching an arrow.
“Dismount, drop your weapons and slowly walk towards us with your hands raised. If you don’t we will be forced to act.” Aryn will yell back at them.
Across the earpiece Aryn will whisper, “Zinmaer slowly move forward to the right flank, Mucor same on the left if they don’t drop their weapons soon I’m taking out the one in the front.”
she’ll slowly pull back the string and raise her bow aiming for the one that’s marked. “You have 10 seconds. Choose wisely.”
Jinara would cast Message to Doom Tail and give a whistle calling him. Jinara would tap his boots and fly to meet the griffon in mid air. Jinara would shift his body weight slightly so that as Doom Tail flies underneath his legs, he can tap his boots and land firmly in the saddle. Together they fly off and catch up with Gaelin and Bronze Claw after the volley of arrows have flown. "Pretty cool, eh? That should come in handy when Aryn tries to slap you again!" Jinara says with a giggle. "Where to friend?"
Zinmaer would give Aryn a quick nod and effortlessly dismount and head to the right. (up and right as far as he can go 55ft)
"I would listen to her...I've never seen someone as deadly with a bow...I don't think you want to hear what the minotaur can do..." Zinmaer would say this calmly as if he really does not want bloodshed.
Five men dismount and lay down their crossbows and swords, holding their hands up as Zinmaer and Mucor slowly move forward on either side. Two others look at one another, nod then take off galloping back into the town ducking behind the first building on the right.
Aryn- Since you had a prepared shot you could shoot at one of them, It wouldn't be at advantage for Assassin since they moved before combat started.
Initiative Order: Group 1: Zinmaer, Mucor & Aryn Group 2: Bandits
Mucor would move (30ft) towards the direction of the fleeing bandits. As he gets closer to the men that surrendered he would shout to them with a snort "Each of you move towards our griffins in a line and lay down on the ground! We don't want to kill you!" He would then point his staff towards the direction of the fleeing men and cast conjure animals and summon four Giant Vultures to chase down the fleeing men.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Idiots" Aryn mutters as she adjusts her aim and releases an arrow at one of the fleeing bandits. She will run back to Calypso and take off heading northeast to flank on the right side of the building and ready an arrow for the first target she sees.
Zinmaer would shake his head as he sees the bandits flee and take off in a blur in an effort to cut them off from their camp (using dash as his action and dodge as his bonus action - 1 ki point).
"Mucor, If you're up for it I say we head that way immediately. If we need to spend a night in town to wait for the bandits we can." Aryn says. (If Mucor is ready) Aryn will look to Zinmaer and say, "Saddle up Zinamer! We leave in 5 minutes."

Zinmaer wouldn't say a word, but just stare back, ready to make his move.
