Wis save: 1719 (Valchar makes the initial save so you don't gain any additional knowledge from him.)
Tassarion Int: 17 (Tassarion wins the contest)
Tassarion is full of fear as his mind flicks through images of his family and of Aemyra talking to a group of people before the link is severed.
As Mucor asks his question Button strolls down Mucor's outstretched arm and he pulls the blindfolds off the officers. Their eyes blink rapidly adjusting to the light and they see Button inches away from their faces. He smiles as the poisonous barbs begin to protrude out from his skin glowing a faint blue. They tense up and glance at one another meeting eyes for a millisecond before both go silent. Sweat beads on each of their brows and their frantic eyes dart around looking for exits. They only see an endless line of prison cells similar to the brig's but as if they're in a different location. (thanks to Mucor's spell)
Jinara, as you grow angry you close your eyes trying to recall the images from both when you make a connection. Some of the unknown faces you saw from Valchar are the same faces you saw in Tassarion's mind when Aemyra was speaking to a group of people. The angle and perspective are different but the faces are the same as if both were there but in different locations within the room. This realization hits you as Valchar breaks his bonds and stands to his feet.
Roll Initiative! 159
(Aryn you would get an attack since you were holding an arrow.)
(Oh, there's a whole world of hurt coming... do I get extra attack since i'm holding my attack action and I have extra attack since we leveled up? She'll shoot Valchar in the back of the head as soon as he moved to break his bonds.)
Attack: 22 (EA) 25 Damage: 111326
Extra Attack (in case I get it. If Valchar goes down she'll shoot Tassarion in the leg.): 28 Damage: 1613
Valchar stands quicker than Aryn was prepared for and her first arrow sinks into his neck. He breaks out of his bonds as the second arrow pierces his spine and he stiffens for a moment before falling forward onto his face dead. Tassarion immediately starts screaming "Wait, wait wait! Don't kill me" and closes his eyes tensing expecting pain.
Zinmaer stands bladed staff at the ready and awaits a response from Tassarion.
Tassarion looks around at his surroundings and quickly assesses the situation before saying, "I... I have a family. They threatened to turn them. One of his mages contacts me through some sort of magical message and I respond with information. If I have a lot of information I'll spread it out over 2-4 messages. I don't know where they are, what their plans are or how to find them. I'm just an informant... Please you have to understand."
Gaelin- He's still under the effects of your spell so he's telling the truth.
"When do they normally try to contact you? Have they contacted you today? Would you be willing to feed them misinformation going forward." Gaelin asks Tassarion.
To the group he'll respond telepathically, "Jinara and I are familiar with this spell, There's no way for us to know what he's telling them without us expending more spells. May not be worth the trouble in the long run. Also, I have issues trusting a traitor. Bandits who are just stealing for their livelihood are quite a bit different than someone willing to sell out an entire civilization."
"He's too much trouble." Baern says as he walks up to him and asks, "What was the last message you gave them?" as he holds up his warhammer under Tassarion's chin.
Tassarion begins to breathe heavily and says, "They contacted me last night before you came and took us. I told them the siege was unsuccessful and a group called the Lightbringers destroyed the majority of the army. I received no response despite informing them there was more than one message of information. They usually contact me late afternoon or early evening."
"Thank you for your cooperation." Baern says and in the blink of an eye buries the spike of his warhammer in Tassarion's head. The lifeless body falls for the stone floor with a thud and Baern looks to Beladin, "Apologies brother." Beladin sighs loudly as he and says, "I'd a done the same. Let's get back to the war. Lots a bastards still need killin."
Mucor would look to the dead elf and in an instant, the corpse would rise and stand up. "You want smash this one too? I know you wanted the privilege of executing the spies and well.. this one died a little too quickly" The minotaur would say as fungus forms around the wounds of the now undead elf.
Beladin walks forward and grabs the warhammer from Baern's hand and crushes the zombie elf's skull with a single massive blow before turning back to Baern and says, "Didn't break this'n". Baern smiles and says, "Ye better not."
Mucor would give a half smile and look to Baern... "Looks like you still didn't get to finish him off..." The minotaur would say with a snort as he waives his hand over the corpse and uses druidcraft to cause a variety of vibrant colored mold, mushrooms, and other fungus to begin sprouting up from the corpses before looking to button. "You hungry friend? I imagine these two traitors don't deserve a burial.. and you look a little hungry" The minotaur would say to his mushroom pal.
"If he told them about us we need to check with Herbert. I also suspect we're due for a nightmare or two in the near future." Aryn says impatiently. "Daegon won't be happy and we still have thousands of drekthar to kill nearby and more at Esterlin."
