"You do know what 'holiday' means, right?" asks Orric blandly as Ori stumbles back into the cabin, already covered in mud and various debris.
"Yes, yes,"Ori replies in a hurry, reaching for a bowl and pestle. "But what do you expect me to do when you tell me a thing like that?"
Orric sighs as he watches his mirror-perfect triplet rushing about. A little stain on his hunting clothes, and his brother goes frantic... again. All over the possibility of -
"Purple!"Ori exclaims, mashing some random forest ingredients in his mortar. "Purple dyes, purple clothes, purple paints!"
Orric's call of "Maybe you should see if it works first-" seems to fall on deaf ears as Ori rushes out of the cabin and turns toward the town square. "Wait until people see this!"
Karl’s walk is going quite smoothly. He hums a quiet tune to himself as he strolls down the street. He is grateful for his day off, and intends to enjoy himself today.
Chives looks up, somewhat surprised to find that her hunt was successful.
"Oh hello, Mister William! I was wondering if you might like to do something with me, given that it's a holiday?"

Ugh, Johnnie's drunk. Or hungover. Or both (can you be both?). Is he going to be able to do this? He might be more in the way than helpful. But Uncle said to get him, so...
"No, we're killing the rats, Johnnie. Not the other way around," Winn corrects him as he barfs. "Try to sober up a bit, please? I'm going to find more people." With that, she turns and leaves, deciding to look for the potter first.
While Chive is talking to William the woodcutter, Winn makes her way to Ori's house. She doesn't get very far however, since shortly after she exits the inn and reaches the town square, she begins heading south when she sees Ori running toward her.
At around the same time, Karl walks into the square as well.
So Karl is walking through the square, Winn is near the south end and Ori is heading straight for her.
"And I need to talk to you!" Ori replies, breathless from his run, but pleased to see Winn. His pure-gold eyes are bright as he offers forward the bowl of mushed up, kind of brownish stuff.
Johnnie stumbles out of the broom closet, bucket in hand as he tries to walk toward the door to dump out the contents. "Innkeep! I need a glass of ale! How do you expect me to work this early in the morning without something to hold?"
"You misunderstand," Johnnie responds, throwing an arm around the innkeeper, "I need a drink not to get drunk but to drink away the drink i drank last night. That way I survive to drink another... drank?"
"Why, it's the secret to..." Ori turns the bowl toward himself, and his grin fades for just a moment. "...It's an experiment of mine!"
"Uh, but, what did you need to see me about? Don't tell me Johnnie's broken half the Inn's plates again?" Ori gives Karl a polite nod as he notices him for the first time.
"Gladly!" Johnnie deftly grabs a tankard, pours himself some ale, downs it, and sits down at the bartop while he waits for the alcohol to do it's work. "Now; Winn said something about training rats to become bounty hunters?"

William was just starting in on a tall maple tree when he sees Chives coming towards him through the clearing.
“Hello there, Chives! What can I do ya for?”
Chives looks up, somewhat surprised to find that her hunt was successful.

(Would Winn see or notice Karl? Or would I need to make another perception check?)
"Oh! Ori!" Winn lifts her hand up to get his attention, despite the fact that he's walking right to her. "Ori, I need to talk to you!"
(Eh... you can notice Karl. 17 perception is pretty high even with level 1 modifiers.)
"Karl, you too!" Winn calls, pointing to the human she notices passing by. "I need to talk to both of you!"
Karl hears his name, stops walking, turns towards Winn, and walks over to her. ”What?” He asks.
The Innkeeper groggily responds, "You can get drunk after you're done with the work."
"You misunderstand," Johnnie responds, throwing an arm around the innkeeper, "I need a drink not to get drunk but to drink away the drink i drank last night. That way I survive to drink another... drank?"
“I‘d be glad to, Chives! What do you have in mind?” William says, wiping his brow with a rag and taking a swig if water.
The innkeeper says, "Screw it! Just take your drink and get to work"
"Oh...! What...is this?" Winn tries her best to sound nice when Ori shows his...mush, but the confusion in her tone is still very obvious.

(Yep! I drew it myself X3)
"No, not yet anyway," Winn laughs. "Uncle needs help getting rid of rats at the inn. He said you and Karl could help out."
