Quilqwen's magic stems the flow of blood and heals it slightly, but his lack of medical expertise will cause the wound to scar. Jatrin you gain the temporary effect (advantage on Intimidation rolls, but disadvantage on persuasion rolls for 2 days) as the wound heals. You also gain the permanent feature: VisibleScar - You have a prominent scar from a particularly dangerous encounter. Some people and creatures will naturally try and avoid you out of fear, while others may see it as a badge of honour or bravery. (this could be fixed with higher level magic in the same way of replacing limbs or be hidden by various means)
Estellen as you wander outside you see the last of the creatures dispatched by the dual axes the figure wields. The glaive still sparks with lightning, creating a strobe-like lighting effect. The figure maintains the fighting stance for a moment, panting heavily from exertion. The ground at their feet is lightly coated with a black, dust-like substance and contains a small body, the skin cracked and unnaturally pale.
The figure drops the axes into their belt and the glaive flies back to their hand. Still hooded they push past the elf and head straight to the bar, conversing with Strife in an unknown language. They turn to look back at the party a couple of times during the conversation, revealing their appearance. A dark-furred, female Tabaxi that looks surprisingly young given their ability.
Tailine pulls the arrow tip from her foot, stowing her bow and making a note to tend to the weapon later. At least she got one good shot in. She watches the conversation between Strife and the Tabaxi with curiosity, but she isn't in the habit of interrupting Strife's conversations and wraps the small cut on her foot.

As Quilqwen approaches the Tabaxi she turns, looks him up an down, and resumes the conversation for a little longer.
Listening to more of the conversation it strikes all of you that this language is very odd. Some words sound guttural and harsh like Dwarven, some light and flowing like Elvish, and others still melodic like that of Celestial. But there are even more sounds besides those you recognise. However you are unable to recognise any distinct words from any languages you know.
After a minute or two more, some of which seems to be a heated discussion, they both turn to face the group. The Tabaxi's voice is sharp, saying only that which needs to be said,
"I don't like it, but we need you. Strife here says you can handle yourself, well enough at least, and I can't be in two places at once. On my way here I saw the void bubble. It's further North than Strife tells me you saw it, so my guess is it's heading that way. It looks like nothing else has come out of it other than what I just killed out there. But you've got to get ahead of it and warn the lord. I've got to get Strife out of here and do other errands." She turns to Strife, "Still got it?"
Strife nods, "Is Ralgath still working?" After she nods he continues, "Good he owes me a few favours."
A short exchange in the unknown language which ends with the Tabaxi saying "Fine, but you owe me now." She throws a few items onto a nearby table:
Bag of elemental gems
This bag contains 8 gems. Each gem can be crushed as an action to release a magic missile, but instead of dealing force damage the damage dealt depends on the gem crushed. 6 : 3 : 1 : 2 : 6 : 4 : 1 : 2 1 Lightning (deep blue sapphire), 2 Cold (light blue sapphire), 3 Poison (green Emerald), 4 Thunder (gery/white Opal), 5 Fire (red ruby), 6 Acid (amber)
Once crushed the gem is destroyed and worthless .
Micro-Steed
Contained within this small ball is an unknown steed. As an action you can place this ball on the ground and over the next 10 minutes it will grow into a steed. (the same effects as Find Steed but with an unknown creature as the steed). This is a single use item, but (like the spell) the steed lasts until released or killed.
Strife walks over to Tailine and gives her the remains of his sword (now effectively a dagger). "It's only got a fraction of the power it once had, but it can still be useful to keep enemies at bay."
Strife's Sword (broken)
Once attuned to this weapon, you can use one of your attacks to toss this magic dagger into the air. When you do so, the dagger begins to hover, flies up to 30 feet, and attacks one creature of your choice within 5 feet of it. The dagger uses your attack roll and ability score modifier to damage rolls.
While the dagger hovers, you can use an attack to cause it to fly up to 30 feet to another spot within 30 feet of you. As part of the same attack, you can cause the dagger to attack one creature within 5 feet of it.
Violet picks herself off the wall, having caught some of her breath, "So, I don't suppose anyone knows exactly what that thing is yet?" She looks at the many gems, wondering which wizard made their wife's accessories into weapons.
Tailine carefully takes the broken sword in both hands. "I am willing to do as you ask. I am not familiar with these lands. What is the name of the Lord and where can we find him? I do not know about the others, but I am willing to leave at once."

”Before the attack a voice said to return what was taken. You seem to have some understanding of what is going on. Do you know what it meant? Or what we are facing here?”
Strife responds as the Tabaxi throws the items onto the table."We have no idea what it is yet, nor do I know who now presides over those lands. Last I knew it was someone named Erazdur Mountaincleaver, but that was some time ago. It will be a long journey, so you might want to get some sort of transport sorted."
The Tabaxi then responds to Quilqwen, "I don't know, I didn't take anything. But the owner of the voice no longer has their head attached to their shoulders." She makes a dismissive shrug towards the door.
My avian head tilts to the side then swivels to look at the door, then the rest of my body turns to match it’s position as I walk out the door and look for what he was indicating.
Estellen walks up to the group, a vexed expression on his face, before speaking to both Strife and the Tabaxi, "Tell me, if you would be so kind, what are we dealing with here? What do you know of this threat? How can I study it?"
When you've seen the creatures die (for lack of a better term), they disintegrate into a very fine dust-like substance. Normally so little of this dust remains that is practically invisible, but out here where the Tabaxi was fighting the ground is coated in it.
Clearly visible underneath this layer of dust is a small, body-shaped mound (minus a head) and an even smaller round mound (probably the head).
The Tabaxi shoots Estellen a look that wound freeze lava, bringing the point of the glaive to rest on his chest. The lightning that sparks off of it making his body tingle slightly. Although smooth, the entire movement was unnervingly fast."Careful of your tone elf." There is an uncomfortable pause before she continues, "I was called here after you, so right now you know more than me. In theory anyway... Besides this farming town is no place for studying anything more than which fertiliser is best." She then slowly removes the glaive from Estellen's chest, resuming the 'relaxed' pose she had previously.
Tailine thinks of the dwindling coin in her purse, "I don't much want to impose on them further, but we may need to rely on the generosity of this village for enough mounts to reach the lord quickly." She'll look at the others with concern. Especially the heavily wounded Jatrin. "Some of you were wounded pretty badly in that fight. Will an hour of rest suffice or do you need longer?"

Under closer inspection the body is that of a male halfling, although the skin is blackened and cracked. His eyes are gone, leaving only empty sockets behind. His clothes are mostly tatters, and seemingly hold nothing within them.

"If we need a mount to pull the cart we could try out our luck with this little fellow."Jatrin showing the micro steed ball. "It gonna take bit of time to grow so we could take a short respite during it."
Unless sombody want the items on the table Jatrin will store it.
Estellen throws his arms into the air, thoroughly disgruntled. “Bah! Well I know a hairs breadth away from nothing, so isn’t this a pretty situation. I suppose we’ll be going to see this lord, and hopefully he knows something that can stand against whatever these things are.”

Looking over the wounds still remaining on Jatrin “Sorry I don’t think I will be able to do any better than that for now.”
Then I approach Strife and the tabaxi “Thank you stranger. The people upstairs would certainly be dead if not for you. As would we. I am Quilqwen.”
