Arldane takes a moment to recover from his efforts as Perrin relays the information. He spies into the distance, but can't make out for himself any if the finer details that Perrin has. Feeling that lizardmen blocking the path of a heavily escorted convey can have no good outcome, Arldane will mentally prepare Mirror Image to defend himself, should it come to conflict.
"I don't like the feel of this... Perrin, Hank, stay close. Friendly fire is frustrating in the best of circumstances."
(Perrin didn't say anything yet, but you can see something as well.)
"AMBUSH!" shouts Perrin. Perrin starts calling out directions and enemy head counts in those directions, finishing with, "And there's a great big thing behind that tree!"
Perrin has his rapier and shield at full ready and sees how he can best position himself to protect those around him from the closest attackers.
Perrin sees the two signaling towards several other locations in the swamp. They are geared for combat, armored and armed with various blades and spears. You also see something larger moving a little behind the fallen tree.
(Several Lizardfolk with most of their locations unknown. They are about 200 ft ahead.)
Perrin calls and points out the general direction where the lizardfolk had been signaling, saying, "They're there - I can't see them but they're there!"
Perrin squares off facing the first two lizardfolk he saw and starts charging in their direction.
// OOC Can Perrin make out the large form behind the large tree? Perception20 //
“Archers and spell casters, cover us!” Hank yells as he follows after Perrin. I will take my movement and dash towards the ones Perrin are heading for.
Seeing his comrades charge, and judging the lizard men to be out of range from his current position. Arldane will cast invisibility on himself, then follow after them. Muttering how impetuous they can be.
Perrin, as it rises, you can make out the unmistakable warped green skin of a troll. You rush towards the enemy, but you know it'll be another round or two before you'll reach there.
Hank, your call is well heard; as your path is laid out before you by arrows and magic spells. The enemy couldn't stop your charge if they tried.
Arldane suddenly vanishes; though still leaves deep prints in the muck.
"Troll!" cries Perrin, "Does anyone know anything about trolls?!? Specifically, how to kill them! If one of you can get it from afar, do it before we close in!"
Perrin continues to charge holding his rage until he figures that either he can reach them or they can reach him.
// OOC Perrin isn't skilled in Arcana or Nature, so I'm not rolling for knowledge on trolls. He is skilled at Survival though and his gut is telling him he shouldn't be charging... Lol. //
You find Aoth standing upon a tree, between the v split of the branches, his pirate flag cape billowing slightly behind him. Through the black scarf, covering his mouth, you hear. "Trolls can not regenerate from fire or acid! Kill it with fire!!"
Suddenly several of your companions hands light up in burning flames. (Roll for Initiative.)
(Was almost done tallying all the initiatives, but then accidentally closed the page. Yeah, let's say we start with the goodies. I'll try to get that updated by the end of today; just got home late to my livestream d&d game due to buses not running as usual.)
