Kymel shakes his head. "No, there shouldn't be. The altar is a sacred space, and we did not want to violate that with deadly traps. Also, I don't see a reason why anyone would want to break into it. There's nothing in there of incredibly great monetary value. Then again..."
He looks down at the floor, along with Viaya. The trail of dried blood still continues on into the next room. It is not as much as around the stairs, but enough to suggest someone wanted to get in very badly, even in their dying breaths.
Zakon's investigation of the door proves that Kymel is telling the truth that there are no more traps.
Shall we enter, then?

An eerie violet light flickers here, illuminating murals on the walls depicting Corellon in different poses -beckoning, kneeling, or prone. The murals have been defaced with runes daubed on in dried blood. The light comes from candles set in skulls on a table at one end of the room, draped in a ragged black cloth. Lying on the ground in various poses of disarray are five white-robed acolytes, as if sleeping. Another figure kneels before the shrine, dressed in a golden robe. It turns as you enter, revealing a face with desiccated skin drawn tight over the skull. Eyeless sockets stare at you as it grabs a gleaming mace from beneath the shrine.
Kymel is the first to react, his expression puzzled, but shocked nonetheless. "Yelfir?" he mutters recognizing the figure, but finding it hard to believe what he is seeing.
As you enter this chamber, necrotic energy flares from the shrine to each of the lying forms, causing them to rise and defend the chamber.
Zakon, I have at least placed you out of the doorframe so that your stealth roll means something. For now, the zombies can't see you past the wall. Also, Kymel is a lvl 5 Light Domain Cleric, who will be able to help you. He has no weapons, but at least has healing spells.
The alter room is nothing like Kymeldescribed it. From the bodies on the ground, to the skull candles to the skeletal figure draped in black. Whatever the man remembers, it is clear that things have changed. Viaya'seyes widening as the lights flare and the bodies on the floor rise to attack.
Viaya's Initiative: 17
Those zombies are definitely raring to go! Good thing Kymel will be of some kind of use lol, we might need those healing spells soon.
A7 Zombie (Zombie 1): Yelfir's call awakens the dead acolytes, and they immediately go for the intruders. One standing in the back rises up with a creak and makes a dash for Theo, the closest figure standing in the doorway.
Slam: 11
Arms waving wildly, it misses Theo, but does not seem to notice. It roars in fury.
A5 Zombie (Zombie 2): Unable to get past its own comrade, who was much faster, it holds its position, waiting for an opportunity to strike.
D5 Zombie (Zombie 3): Seeing that the first acolyte has taken care of one doorway, the acolyte in the middle of the room rushes for the second doorway to take care of the second threat, Viaya.
Slam: 8
Lucky for the group, these shambling creatures are not the most coordinated.
Drawing both her daggers from her belt Viayathrows the first at the black robe wearing necromancer towards the center of the room and uses the second to stab the zombie attacking her. It's obvious which is the greater threat. The sooner that necromancer dies the better off every living person in this room will be.
So this will be bonus action: two-weapon fighting. First attack on Yelfir, second attack on D5 zombie. Question, is Theo's Bless already in effect or do we have to wait for his turn to add that extra D4?
Dagger1 Attack: 8 Damage: 4
Dagger2 Attack: 18 Damage: 4

Viaya Morbrew - Imela: The Adventure Begins - High Elf/Rogue (Level 1)
The first dagger clinks against the back wall, missing Yelfir by several inches. He still holds his position in front of the altar, commanding the small zombie army. The second dagger digs deep into the gut of the zombie in front of Viaya, creating a decent gash in its middle.
G5 Zombie (Zombie 4): Much like the other zombie guarding by the doorway, this one waits while its partner squares off with Viaya.
G7 Zombie (Zombie 5): Unable to assist in the now slightly crowded doorways, this zombie follows Yelfir's summons to help guard him. It takes a position in front of its master (D6) to block visibility.

Zakon leans his head around the doorway, taking in the scene in an instant. He readies his bow, then moves and fires at the zombie in front of Yelfir, his bowstring twanging.
[Oh, duh, I was looking at the wrong creatures for armor class. You were good even without the bonus.]
The arrow cleanly punctures straight through the neck of the zombie. It's head lolls back in reaction to the force, but it holds its position. Yelfir, too, keeps his place guarding the altar. Kymel moves closer behind Viaya to be at the ready in case things get worse.

Theo holds his position, as much as he wants to howl and rage into battle he knows that he has to continue concentrating on the Blessings of Helm to benefit his friends. He hefts his warhammer and cracks it against Zombie 1
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Several ribs make a horrible cracking sound as the hammer makes contact. Normally, this would have downed any ordinary man, but powered by Yelfir's command, the zombie still holds on. It's arms swing again, trying to take out the threat.
Slam: 16
Still, it is unable to get a good angle to really hit Theo hard. The other zombie, facing Viaya also makes a second attempt to attack after having a dagger wedged in it.
Kymel shakes his head. "No, there shouldn't be. The altar is a sacred space, and we did not want to violate that with deadly traps. Also, I don't see a reason why anyone would want to break into it. There's nothing in there of incredibly great monetary value. Then again..."

Satisfied that there are no traps, Zakon turns to his companions. "Should Kymel enter first? Or one of us?" he asks.
Theo
Theo shrugs and glances at Kymel. "Into the breach, eh?"
With hammer ready, Theo goes through the door.
Zakon will move up to enter after Theo, trying to be as quiet as possible.
