Mirna, please, think nothing of it. I'm sorry we didn't get here sooner. Do any of you require healing? You, Omyn, is there another way out of this room?Or a way to disengage that pit trap? And how many more of your friends can we expect to find here? Where are Glasstaff and the monster? Dekhan will ask these questions as he looms over the prone Redbrand.
Dekhan, Omyn is holding his nose which is bleeding a lot. He gazes up at you fearfully. There's no door here. There's a hidden door, opposite the armoury. He gestures to the west, in the direction of the area where Dario and Incantis rested. I don't know about a trap, but we don't go through the other door in the crypt. We always go round. That's orders. He stops to spit out some bloods, and gags for a moment before coughing up some more. He lowers his gaze, and his tone starts to get a little whiny: I dunno how many - Vit and some of the lads went to the Giant, they made me stay here.
Dekhan, Mirna answers you. Thank you, I... thank you so much. We just need to get out of here. We need to go home. I... Did Hester send you? The Townmaster. Or maybe... The boy interrupts her. It's a trick. They're with the Redbrands. He raises his fists, but the woman grabs onto them and forces the boy to look at her. It's okay, Nars, it's okay. It's okay. She just keeps repeating 'It's okay' as the boy deflates, lowers his head, and buries his face in her shoulder.
Realizing how badly they have been beaten Varinth slowly looks over to the Redbrand. He walks into the cell past Dekhan, all tells of his drunken self gone. He stands stock still in front of the prone man. His voice is quiet and changed. It seems to crackle and smolder in his mouth.
I can burn him. I can burn him... from the inside.
Well, says Omyn slowly, to the rest. To the hole, and the barracks, and the boss's quarters. Most of the stuff is over there.
As he says this, he sees Varinth approach and hears his words. No, please, please don't. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I have money. It's not much. He reaches into his pockets and pulls out a small bag of coins, holding it up to you.
Dekhan will look around at his friends and If no one objects, will take the coin purse and give it to Mirna. Mirna, when this is over would the town pass judgement on the surviving Redbrands if we leave them in your custody?
"And the secret door in the chamber with the water pool! It leads as well to this 'hole'?"Incantis demands. "I am new to these parts and I desire access to your 'hole'!"

Dekhan, Mirna shakes her head when you offer the gold, but the younger woman, Nilsa, grabs it. They owe us, mama, she hisses to Mirna. Don't you think they owe us. Why shouldn't we take it. She turns and speaks to you while Mirna looks on, seemingly surprised. They murdered papa. In the street. Mirna looks down at the boy and screws up her eyes. People saw. I know they did, but they were too scared to do anything. Yes, they'll pass judgement, and they'll hang him from one of Daran's trees. Are you from Triboar? Or Waterdeep? Have you come to set everything right?
Incantis, Omyn doesn't seem to have heard you; he's staring up at Vaz in absolute terror.
Vaz, there is silence for a few seconds. Then you hear Nars struggle to speak, and finally get some words out. No. No. Please. They'll judge him and he'll hang. Like Nilsa says. That's what Papa would say too.
Yes, Nilsa, we’ve come to set everything right. There’s nothing for you to worry about now. It seems we can leave the judgement of the Redbrands to the people they’ve wronged.
When you hang, you sniveling piece of gobshite, I want you to remember that your fate could of been a lot worse if it wasn't for this boy.
Varinth leaves the cell and locks it behind him. Seeming to come out of his "Dark Place" Vaz turns to address the group.
Let's get these folks back home. Do we think one of those sarcophagi lids would stretch over the pit? Otherwise we can stretch the rope between Zoria and Dekhan as a balustrade and they can make their way across the edge without fear of falling. I will then walk them to the entrance and make sure they get into town.
"You know, I thought we was planning on trying to settle this all tonight... which I figured would kill half o' us. But if we choose to wait, we should do it here. I don't want to chance my arm and taking everything back to town brings the likelihood they take the fight to the town. We got us a bit o' safe harbor at the crypt, yeah? That's the way in and out, and they won't throw everything at it until they know it's taken...and that means taking a couple more first."
(Scupper looks about the jail for anything that could help cross the pit: cots, tables, benches. If not, the other room had plenty of crates and barrels...)
Scupper, you don't find any secret doors or much else of use in the cells area. There is a pile of discarded clothing in the corner; all different shapes and sizes, suggesting that a lot of people have been through these cells over the two months since the Redbrands arrived. You don't find anything that will help the family cross the pit trap - the sarcophagus lids are too short, the cell doors might work but are strong metal and you're not sure you're strong enough to get them off their hinges. However, given that the Redbrands come and go frequently and yet the hallway with the trap is covered in undisturbed dust, you know that there must be another way around. There are might be enough barrels and crates in the pool room to fill up the trap, but you never looked properly down the pit so you're not sure how deep it is or what's at the bottom.
Sorry guys says Varinth I should explain myself better. Zoria, you take one end of the rope whilst Dekhan holds the other. Zoria jumps over the pit and then holding the rope taught between them, they both stand close to one wall with the rope at chest level. The family can then travel across the ledge without fear of falling. I realise there must be another way around but we don't know who's around there, so this might be the most direct and quickest way to get these folks home. Varinth takes a breath. Gods my head is killing me.

"Around to where??" Incantis croaks loudly, "where does to door leading north of the crypt go?"

Varinth just stares at Omyn and at the mention of money the large tattoo over his left side flares a deep and angry red.
What say you Nars? Do I boil his eyes in his head?

I'd say we can take them to the exit and then quickly backtrack to the secret door. If we move quickly it shouldn't take long.
