We have to keep up. So if Strix says faster, we go faster so we can take em. Just keep those eyes open Strix. If they know we're following, they may set up an ambush (hopefully allowing me to mastermind advantage Strix perception for an ambush)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
We have one vote for fast, one for normal, and two (implied) votes for stealth. :) Well, Strix is leading, so I think I'll leave it up to him. Normal it is. Is Strix really getting a long way in front of the others with his monk speed, or staying a fixed distance ahead?
(OOC : The idea would be that with the additional speed he can dart ahead, check the place out and dart back so the party can travel at normal pace, he can use a combination of regular forays forward with dashes back to stay in sight while giving him time to warn them if he sees anything. It does mean he's more likely to get peppered with arrows but I guess that's what deflection is for :D )
Okay, so the party heads in at normal speed, with Strix darting forward stealthily. Well, not very stealthily in fact, but as it turns out, just stealthily enough.
Strix, you see the mouth of a cave up ahead, and slouching into a little rocky nook is a half-elf, fiddling with her short sword and occasionally turning to look around. She's bored as hell and not really paying attention, and it's a good two minutes between each time she surveys the area. She's wearing tattered leather armour, and occasionally whistling no kind of tune at all. From your vantage spot, about eighty feet away, you can't see into the mouth of the cave.
It's the middle of the afternoon now, and still pretty light. Your four companions, imp and camel in tow, are perhaps a hundred feet behind you at the moment.
(is there a clear line of sight from the cave to the party proper? I'm not sure what the normal viewing distance is, so if it's greater than 180 ft its worth going back to stop them I'll have to take the chance and bop her with a stick.)
There isn't a clear line of sight into the cave, not from where you or the party is. It's higher up than you, so even circling round to directly in front of it is going to give you very limited visibility on the interior.
Luskain follows with Soodi. Scupper, Amos does not answer, though you may feel that he is with you always.
The person on lookout would not be able to see the party from where they are now, but you were able to sneak closer. Probably about 60 foot from the cave mouth, they would become visible.
Incantis, Scupper, Dekhan and Varinth, you see about sixty feet up ahead that Strix has stopped. Maybe forty feet beyond him, you think you see a figure next to the rocky hillside.
"Do you all see that figure as well?" Incantis whispers to the others. "I'm going to send Zhudala."The imp turns invisible and flies to Strix' shoulder. He wargs into her.

((Sorry for being OOC!))
Incantis contacts Strix' mind silently. "Do you see anything?"

and don't forget about Disturbingly Handsome Horse!
Dekhan mentally instructs Luskain to follow behind at a reasonable distance. ;)
Scupper whispers to an empty pocket of air where his familiar pouts, "Amos the Invisible and Inaudible...shut up 'afore you give us away."

Strix thinks back the details of what he's seen but honestly can't remember if thats how it works :)

I'm not sure I follow, but...
Incantis, Scupper, Dekhan and Varinth, you see about sixty feet up ahead that Strix has stopped. Maybe forty feet beyond him, you think you see a figure next to the rocky hillside.
((So we have a ~40ft buffer, gotcha))
"Do you all see that figure as well?" Incantis whispers to the others. "I'm going to send Zhudala." The imp turns invisible and flies to Strix' shoulder. He wargs into her.

Strix, there's a quiet flutter of wings and an imp is on your shoulder.
Resting it over Soodi's neck, Vaz takes aim down his arm using his thumb as a scope. He wonders if he could hit her with a Fire Bolt from here...
Arcana: 18
Yes, you think you could do it.
Scupper sees Vaz lining up a shot and preps an arrow in case he needs to quickly add some sneak attack damage.
Twixt you an me, Vaz...are we settin' this ting off or waiting for a go ahead?
