"That is very helpful information" Beetle thanks Aramil, "Sounds like we may have to survey the out lying area once we get there so we aren't bottled in and attacked from behind if there are beasties hiding in the caves around it."
Serak: Excited to finally have a solid lead on the location of the Cragmaw, Serak asks, "Galadhor Castle, you say? Would you mark it on our map? Also, please mark the locations of any caves you can remember, if you would? Is there anything else you can tell us about the Cragmaw or the Castle? Are you able to remember enough to draw a map of the interior and exterior?"

"Aye Galadhor... Fine place it was too. Though sadly I was never allowed into the place being a young pup." The parchment tears ever so slightly as he tugs it across the table, growling to himself as Dayereth moves to retrieve a quill, "Here! That's the castle..... and here...... here..... and...... these two were the caves that I can remember. Quite small in size but we had goblins in them all the time..... to be fair that was some time ago. I mean the forest was never that far south in my day."
Flipping the parchment over, Aramil starts on a small but carefully crafted sketch, "Now I'm no artist.... but this is what I remember of the place.... Regular castle... maybe 100ft long.... thick walls, arrow slits, several circular towers surrounding a long rectangular building. Main doors are..... here ..... a set of double doors at the front at the top of a double stair case. Although if I were you.... and I'm sure this is more helpful.... there IS a postern gate.... uhhh... here. If I were you.. well... lets just say thats a wiser option."
Serak: Stroking his goatee as he studies the map closely, Serak says, "Hmm... Most helpful indeed, Aramil! I knew my faith in you was well placed!"
Turning to the party, he says, "Beetle is right. We should clear their outposts and take out any patrols before we assault the Castle. If we follow the tree line south, we may make it to the closest cave by nightfall."

With only 4 of us and Serak scouting ahead we can probably stay kinda together, maybe sorta a triangle formation or so wirth Arkan or Beetlejuice at the point and ther other 2 5feet or so behind.....just a thoughht...
Serak: As the party says their goodbyes to Jelenneth and the others, Serak says, "Farewell, my friends! We'll be sure to spread the word that Thundertree is once again safe. Take care and good luck!"
Preparing for the trip South, the bard studies the map one last time before heading out. He says to the others, "I shall scout ahead for danger. If we stay in the cover of the treeline, we should be relatively safe. Shall we?"
When their plans are set, Serak will scout 30ft ahead of the party as they head toward the closest cave. He'll also be on the lookout for any tracks or other signs of goblin activity.

Leaving the ruined village of Thundertree behind, Serak leads the way into the depths of Neverwinter Wood. Taking care to keep the forest edge in sight, the bard is on constant lookout for any signs of goblin activity.
Above them the trees seem to come alive. Leaves and branches caressed by the gentle breeze, provide the soundtrack to the parties march. Arkhans mind wanders. Each gust of wind could easily be a wave crashing on the shore. A reassuring sound in this most unfamiliar of places.
It is several hours before Serak finally picks up a trail.
Serak Investigation Roll: 11 (+Adv)
Goblins. That much is clear, though it’s difficult to tell how fresh the trail is. Nevertheless the party follow on. Another hour later and the threat of nightfall looms. The trail suddenly become a frantic mess of prints, small goblin tracks disturbed by much larger, unfamiliar shapes. The trail breaks from the forest, cresting a small hillside nearby and disappearing from view. An early owl calls from somewhere in the wood behind them.
Serak: Fearing he's come upon an ambush sight of some kind, Serak quietly returns to the party and whispers, "The trail becomes a mess of tracks just ahead, with larger prints that I don't recognize. It may be another ambush sight and I really didn't like the sound of that owl a moment ago."

"Maybe we should spread out a bit, possible 10 ft apart and move slowly forward watching for anything waiting." Beetle suggests quietly. "Possibly also have someone try to circle around out of sight in case there is a trap they can surprise the attackers from behind."
Serak: Nodding his head slowly, Serak replies, "A good plan. Arkhan and Beetle can take the lead to draw out any enemies while Syna and I sneak around them. I will flank left while Syna flanks right, and we meet in the middle. Agreed?"

Arkhan and Beetle take the lead climbing the small hill without so much as a rattle from their armour. Silently impressed, Serak nods to Syna, the pair disappearing into the trees which shroud the northern and southern edges.
From the top of the hill, Arkhan and Beetle follow the tracks straight downwards, to a large clearing. Several piles of barrels and crates stand piled against the rising ground of the steep hillside. Directly below them, a small cavelike entrance, no more than 5 foot wide - a narrow but clear streak of red leading inside. A small campfire a short distance away is unlit. The camp is unnervingly quiet.
With the coast clear, Arkhan stomps over to the campfire. Growling to himself he takes a handful of ash, allowing the cool black flakes to fall through his fingers.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Serak: Skulking through the darkness, Serak quickly checks the perimeter of the cave for danger.
Perception:8
Stealth: 20
If he finds nothing, he'll join the others at the campfire sight to discuss how to approach the cave. Remembering the Cragmaw's love of traps, the bard knows to expect anything.
As Arkhan rises back to his feet, Serak circles silently around the site. The clearing remains quiet. To the west the last remnants of the setting sun disappears completely beyond the horizon, light fading quickly over the distant plain.
