"Wha-, no. No no no. My. It's my...wine. You can't haaave it. Who said you could have it? I worked hard...an' booought thish wiff my own muuneeey. I plowed the fields. Jush like...jush like Dad told me to an' I bought...this wine-uh. Stay away wiff yerrr, majik asses er sumthin."
Sinjin is right, this is no random bandit attack but sitting here speculating isn't going to recover the caravans. The Lord acts in mysterious ways and it seems he has brought us together for a reason, after we partake in the gifts of Blobbin's house let us make haste toward Okcho. With the Light leading our way we may yet be able to purify the region and cleanse what evil has been plaguing these people.
"Cheers, young master dwarf, I believe you are correct. Without gathering more information we might as well imagine that there's a dragon behind it all. I think you are correct that the path seems to lead to Okcho."
As he's talking a portly gnome woman come in with the young humans following and puts several trays of food on the table. Blobbin quickly picks up the map from the table. It seems a veritable feast. Several roast birds, roasted vegetables, a creamy soup and several loaves of herb bread and several pitchers of water. Plates are set for you all.
"Okcho definitely holds answers." Sinjin agreed and started to eat his food. He hadn't had a proper meal since he left home. For being blind, he was a surprisingly polite eater. He didn't spill anything at all. Sinjin swallowed a mouth full of the food. "Send my compliments to the chef, this food is divine!" he said triumphantly. "Not as good as gnome cooking though hahaha!" Sinjin went back to stuffing his face.
"I wonder what surprises await us in Okcho," Nuovis gave a nod to her new companions after a few bites of food. "But I must agree, Sinjin, this is the best meal I've had in ages!" she added with a light giggle.
Tauriel eagerly eyes the food spread before the group but decides to first sit down on a chair on the other side of the room to enjoy her bottle of wine. She struggles to open the top and promptly begins to doze off in the corner.
Approaching Tauriel and taking a seat next to her,
The Lord explained: “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work.”
Tauriel, we have a long journey ahead of us tomorrow. You are one of the strongest among us and we will need your strength to keep us safe. Mayhaps put down the bottle, join us at the table, and help us prepare for what is to come.
Tordal says while sliding the bottle from her hand in an attempt to persuade her.
"Never fear Tordal, I have a feeling our Minotaur friend is made of stern stuff. Leave her plate by the chair there. Perhaps she will rouse to eat it later."
Blobbins continuing to eat says around a mouthful of bread "Come, sit back by the table. Now that your path has been decided I can share with you one of my old tales..."
Sledge refills his glass with wine leaning over to Sinjin and Nuovis whispers "Prepare for a long evening"
Blobbin feeling he has a captive audience launches into a tale of his younger days as an adventurer, taking a ship across the Neverending Sea to a land plagued with evil and defeating a great Ogre King. He does spin a good tale and you can tell by the look on Sledge's face that he's heard the tale before and perhaps doesn't believe it. He is not so rude to say so, however, and indulges his host with polite nods and laughs in the appropriate places.
Anyone paying attention to the tale can give me a perception or investigation check. Whichever skill is best for you. (anyone unsure of what that is it will be a d20 roll using the dice icon on the far right of the reply box. Add in your modifier, if any, to that skill in the "Add to result" section. It will look like something this in your post [roll ]1d20+2[ /roll] without the spaces.
Ooc- I'm unable to roll at the moment because I'm on mobile.
Sinjin laughs a bit when Sledge whispers to him. The Gnome ate and drank wine, beginning to feel the elvish wine in his system. As Blobbin told the tale, Sinjin was using his imagination to animate it inside his in head.
OOC: Sinjin, if I recall you're eye is back in your pocket so actually you wouldn't qualify for this check anyway. Sorry about that. Roghar, that is not enough. I'm looking for 10 or over.
While Blobbin is telling his story Oslamir is looking around the room and you notice that some of the landscape tapestries on the walls look very much like some of the places Blobbin is describing in his tale. There is even one depicting a battle with what could certainly be an Ogre. You have a feeling that while the tale does have some fantastic elements you believe it's mostly true.

Blobbin leans into the gnome woman "Please bring some wine for our pointy hat friend." He drops his voice lower "No more for that one" eyeing Tauriel.

As Blobbin starts fixing his plate he says "So are you all in agreement then? You will travel to Okcho?"

Rhogar quietly drinking his bottle and taking in the scene speaks up. “ aye Okcho it is! What say everyone else?”
Aye, the Light points us towards Okcho.

Hanging on ever word Rhogar listens to the halflings story. But gets kind of distracted and sips on his drink.

Ooc - oh ok, that's convenient lol
ooc: lol, it is an odd choice of trait for a character so I'm trying to work with it in ways that makes sense.
