Ransyl walks toward the plant and removes his spear, wiping no the poisonous ooze off of the tip before strapping it to his back.
Seeing a new face, he extends a greeting. “Hello there, I am Ransyl Fireforge. I’ve had the privilege of fighting with this crew in the past...” he turns to look toward the others, “and perhaps they’ll take me back again.” He bows his head in humility.
"Ransyl!" Keyleth greets the dwarf with an enthusiastic smile. "Have you just been trekking around the jungle on your own? Evidently you survived, which ... I have to say I'm impressed, but... why would you do that? We should compare maps!"
“I still feel bad, leaving you high and dry. A day didn’t go by without me thinking about that choice and regretting my decision. I was trying to get a boat home, to help with some family matters. After realizing I could not get off this island, I did what I could to stay alive and make an income. I finally met up with a crew that was exploring the interior, one of the guys had this great boat that would fold up - that came in very handy. However, I am the only one left, and I’m so glad to see you.”
Kirinar grasps the dwarf's forearm in a tight grip. "It is good to see you returned, shield-brother. There are many dangers in this wild land, and I am glad to have you back at my side."
Timber has a childish grin as he meets the dwarf, "That was some throw! It's good to meet you, my name is Timber from the clan of the distant wilds. nothing wrong with more company if you ask me!"
"Yeah, you're looking a bit more pale than usual…" the fighter comments. "Was it those plants? Maybe you should rest for a little bit as we check out the next area?"
(If we vote to carry on while Dr. A takes a break, I vote to move to 5d, with the tortle sitting on the walkway above us...)

As the party climbs the steps up onto the eastern terraces between gardens 5b and 5d Timber sees that a large dome (4) rises between the gardens. This is the place Ransyl came out of. Traces of gold-colored plaster still cling to this dome in a few spots, but everywhere else you see old weathered bricks, more than a few of which have fallen through. The larger-than-life-size elephant carvings and the graceful, towering spire are still magnificent sights, even if their glory is dimmed by time and decay.
You are pretty certain you could climb that dome if you wanted.
Ransyl mentions that he had been hiding inside the dome and there was some writing up inside it but he couldn't read it. It seemed a safe place as he had been there for several hours before the party entered the gardens.
Ransyl's spear embeds itself deeply into the plant and kills it.
Combat over
75 xp each
The garden grows quiet again. Timber found the strength to throw off the effects of the poison. Dr A is still feeling ill.

“Indeed, this is a dangerous place. What brings you to this location?”
Timber has a childish grin as he meets the dwarf, "That was some throw! It's good to meet you, my name is Timber from the clan of the distant wilds. nothing wrong with more company if you ask me!"
“Great to meet you, Timber. Thanks for keeping this group alive.” Ransyl smiles at the others.
The party stands in the garden (5b). Dr A is poisoned and there is no black orchid to be found.
Ransyl is back, adding another fighter to the group.
Where to now?
"I suppose we should check the other three garden areas," Keyleth suggests.

(OOC) sounds good
“I’ll join you in the search, brother.” Ransyl makes his way to Kirinar, axe in hand.
(is it possible for Cinders to climb somewhere high? So he can overwatch the search and Dr. A.)

Timbers goes to climb the dome!
