"My vote is we don't seek out "Certain death", if we have other less "Certain" options to choose from."
Morphlooks between his comrades, to gage their reactions.
"Also, we don't know if it is a mobile danger, and considering the sign, I would assume not."
"If the danger stays put, it can stay far behind me, I'm ok with that."
Rethan agrees with Morph. "I'm not a huge fan of 'certain death' myself. Though I'm not opposed to sending a scout." He looks to morph. "Your spider might be more useful here, or Joy. Ironically, 'Midnight' can't see in the dark."
"Well Joy is kind of tied to me, if she gets too far away the magic that keeps her here dissipates, also she cant actually speak, but Lucy could take a look."
Morph turns his head to get a side look at Lucy as she sits on his shoulder.
"How about it Lucy, want to do some scouting?"
Morph remains silent for a moment, listening to Lucy's unspoken reply,
"Lucy says she wouldn't be opposed to taking a quick look, be she is concerned we might leave her to catch up."
"Never fear my dear, I would not leave you behind."
Morph walks back down the stairs into the crossroads room, as Lucy climbs down his arm, to his hand.
Coming over to the south passage stairs, Morph holds out his hand and lets Lucy down onto the stairs, where she climbs the last few and heads into the south passage.
Morph sits down on the ground, his eyes going completely white, as he transfers his vision to Lucy.
Lucy (Spider) has 30ft darkvision; 20ft walk/climb speed; Web sense (can sense anyone touching the same webbing she is)
Lucy heads down the passage, 20ft at a time, looking for any danger, while Morph watches along.
Lucycreeps slowly down the corridor for a long time before it jogs to the right and then to the left. The passage turns rough and narrow, clearly still under excavation. Evidence of this can be found next to the dead goblin miner, slumped against the wall. A pair of pickaxes and a shovel lay nearby. The narrow, unfinished tunnel winds back to the east and then into a long, narrow room that is partially collapsed. It appears to be empty, save for piles of rubble and a single, headless statue of a nude woman. Doors to the east and west suggest possible exits.
Morphsits, with his eye's elsewhere, for over a minute,
Using his telepathy with Lucy, Morphremarks,
"That was great Lucy, you can come back now."
"I will break connection to inform the others, let me know if you run into trouble on the way."
Morph's eyes suddenly return to normal and he stands back up.
"Ok, so we have a long passage that looks to have been recently expanded through the rock, to connect to another section of the dungeon."
"There is a dead goblinwith some mining equipment in the connecting passage, and the far room, looks to have partially collapsed."
"There is another statue in that room, also damaged, and it looks like two doors leading east and west respectively."
"So we have a pair of east/west choices to our north, a second pair of east/west choices to our south, and a single west leading choice here, where we are."
"Which one do we pick?"
Morphwaits forLucyto return, collecting her back onto his shoulder.
Titus ponders their potential routes for a long few moments and then finally perks up, "Perhaps we follow the course we have already started with our paint... we follow this maze with one hand to the right wall.
Titus places his hand on the wall and begins to walk, before removing his hand from the wall taking up his shield and axe has he led a few steps into the hallway. He turns around to his companions, "Follow the right wall until we loop back around, eh? So our next route would be starting from the gold painted line would go west for a few feet, then turn north, then turn east. What do you say?"

Everyone takes a break while Morph recasts Joy to begin painting again. Then, they push north, turning east. The tunnel is long and eventually forks to a west-facing door north of the passage and also continues east.
Rethan nods to morph. "I agree. If we plan to keep to the right, we might as well stick to it. Doesn't do much good if we branch off another way first chance we get. As for what I see..."
Rethan describes to the others whatever MindDetective is going to tell me I see :P
Rethan can't quite make out whether or not the passage turns or not as he peers just beyond the range of his Light spell. Walking about 15 feet towards the darkness, he can see that the passage does turn north. It also bends to a dead end just beyond the north-bound passage.
(Joy can paint about 200 feet of the line in an hour. It has been about 36 minutes since she started up again.)

The door appears to be safe.
"Should we clear the room beyond that door before we continue?" says Laniel.
While Morph examines the door, Rethan peers around the corner to see how far down the corridor continues.
Morph turns back to the group, having had a look at the door.
"I don't see anything that suggests the door is dangerous or important, at this point."
"I think we should probably stick to the plan and keep following the right hand wall, at least until we find something of interest."
"We may end up coming back this way anyway, but if we start deviating, we could just get ourselves all turned around."
Morph sees Rethan peering ahead,
"See anything Rethan?"
Morph moves over to his friend, ready to continue along the passageway.
