All good. The gist of the pre-story so far is that Aenio popped into the Singed Bolt for an ale after his long day with his nose to the wizard-grindstone, caught Vassa's evening set, was impressed enough to give the bard a generous tip and buy him a drink. The two got talking and Vassa offered to show Aenio around the city. They left the inn as night fell and (we now know) headed to the Angry Coxwain for more drinks, taking in the sights along the way. At the docks, they spot a hulking form climbing up from a lower jetty and mistakenly think it's a merrow climbing up from the depths to snatch already-in-short-supply-maidens away to a watery grave (they'd had a couple already at the Bolt, don't ya know, not to mention the roadies on the way over) so were preparing a moderately drunken 2 man defense of the city when they realise their mistake. By way of apology, they offer to buy the Warforged a drink (do they drink?) in the Coxwain and so begins a night of merry revelry and terrible tour-guide related jokes. One (or both) of you should feel free to continue this nights (or the next morning's) tale.

Lockbox accepts the drink, but doesn’t drink at all. He’s just happy to have made friends who want him around and aren’t scared of him. He makes jokes that aren’t funny, but he laughs at them anyways. Seeing you two become increasingly more drunk, he offers to carry you two around. One on each shoulder, that way you won’t trip or fall. He suggests maybe finding a nice place to crack some skulls, maybe even find a place to win some money. He could use a new great axe... he’ll sing songs, songs he learned on the open sea. He’ll tell you about his boring life pirating. He was always the muscle and the one who carried supplies off of ships, but never got to fight. He’ll share tales of the land he is from, a place called Thay. One he had to run away from. Surprisingly, he’s an open book. He really doesn’t keep secrets about himself, and it’s not like he could if he wanted to. No one taught him how to lie...yet! He will tell you about his time in Waterdeep dungeons, much like his time in the hold of their ship. How hard labor was fun and he really didn’t make any friends because no one else felt the same way.

Anyone have a recommendation on how to put together the battle maps. In the past I've just loaded it into roll20.net, dropped a token on there for each player, took a screenshot and then shared it in the post. Just wanted to see if there was an easier way.
While I'm still ultra new to PBP and DMing in this format, and have only completed 1 short battle in my PBP game, since we use FB chat as our OOC thread, I just take and post photos of my battlemaps (including important features, e.g. cells, tables, chests, doors, etc.) with PC/NPC/Monster (minis) placement in the OOC thread and then go from there description wise, e.g. Player X says i'm moving forward to attack the first orc, so I confirm that they're moving next to the table to attack the orc nearest the stairwell, etc. If needed I then take another mid/late fight photo with repositioned combatants. I also found it useful to post an initiative order list so players are clear where they're at turn wise and can prepare their actions ahead of time, since combat can be a crawl in this format from what i've seen.
Sorry, to be clear, I use my hardcopy maps (dry erase, premade maps and/or tiles) and minis, rather than a digital map tool.
It's not ideal and I do want to instead post battlemap photos direct to the game thread, but I'll get there.
