"We can determine the best lover among you all later. In the meantime, Tharii, is that tick-tocking tool of yours going to help us know when we should be expecting guests?" Emund gestures with his spear at the device the tiefling had checked. He scratches at his chin with his free hand and starts to make his way towards the door.
"Better yet, why don't we go and sit ourselves somewhere comfortable while we wait for someone to chat with."
Tharii waits while the other talk for a minute. He looks over to Cade, who he doesn’t yet know the real name of. “Well. I can understand your friends concern,” he says to the group infront of him. “I’m a stranger, coming in with promises and what sound like fantasies. But I’ll tell you this. I’m going to head out. If nobody comes in a hour to take the persons money, I was wrong and this is all for nothing. But, if I’m right, and the bar you stay in is attacked... perhaps that’ll work for your proof.”
He shrugs as he snaps the watch closed. “One hour,” he says to Edmund. “And if I’m right, and you pull the thread,” he begins as he turns to Keegan. “Hang a lantern on the second pier. I’ll make contact after.” Tharii heads over and heads up the stairs. He definitely has a trick for seeming to slip into a crowd. Vanishing from sight and out of the tavern.
Well then. I guess I should get back to work. But before I do that. What’s the plan guys?

Looking almost sheepish, Keegan puts his dagger away and replies to Cade “wasn’t plan’n killing no one, just get’n some o’ them to talk is all. As for a plan, I say we just disperse our selves around the tavern, cover the entrances and exits, and wait. Take atleast a couple o’ them alive. You two for your tricks to get them to come peacefully right?”
Emund sighs upon Tharii’s departure and quickly turns to answer Yorvalor’s question. “Believe the plan is as Keegan says: we enjoy ourselves at our watering hole of choice and keep our ears pricked for any unwelcome arrivals. And assuming they’re not all turned away by Cade’s dour mood, we help them to help us.” He jingles the manacles at his waist.
”And assuming we manage to keep from killing them all, we might not end up fees on our tab for scrubbing the blood out of tablecloths.”
Cade shrugs. He heads back upstairs to find a place to sit. After a few minutes he finds an empty table. He takes a seat. Cade gestures for a barmaid to bring him something to drink. When the drink does come, he decides not to drink any. Cade scans the tavern. He sighs. He really loves this place. The only place he could call home. He gripped the hilt of his shortsword tightly. He looked over at the other table.
"During the war I was stationed with my squadron a few miles off the border. We had a huge battle the next day. Pietro was nervous as hell. Shaking and quivering. He was a son of a baker. Made the best bread ever. To calm Pietro's nerves we drank. Wasn't really a smart thing to do before battle. I'll tell ya, Pietro wasn't scared none. He was trying to give a lapdance to a bush. It was great. We were still kinda drunk when we fought the next day, maybe that's why we had to retreat so quickly. I like to think it wasn't our faults. Never knew what became of Pietro," Cade says talking to anybody who would listen. He looks down at his drink. He pushes it away from himself. He unsheathes his two shortswords and begins to polish them. His brother used to tell him, "a sword is an extension of yourself, so you gotta take care of them,"
Back upstairs, the Facon seems to be pretty lively. People getting drunk and loud. It looks like the patrons did not miss the entertainment that much. However, Yorvalor still has a job to do. He makes his way to the stage, takes a futile glance at Isabella’s table, and he sighs. He puts Slash down, and picks up the lute he was playing before. He puts on a smile and continues his routine from where he left off. He notices that a few faces actually turns around to see his performance. Performance check: 21.

An hour comes, and then goes without much changing. Then another ten minutes, and still, nothing out of the ordinary. It would always be too easy to call it quits but... about another fifteen minutes or so go by and some other types do enter the bar. Five of them in total. Wide hats, scarfs that are wrapped around their necks and slightly pulled up across their faces. Probably humans, maybe a half-orc in there. The one who walked in first having a slightly taller hat, suspenders, and somewhat finer clothing. One who's staying by the door being in more loose fitting clothing, and a cat-like tail swishing about.
They look around, and then to the fine clothed one who gives a nod, before they move throughout the bar and begin to head towards where Nikoli.

As Yorvalor is going over his routine, he notices the new arrivals. They would be hard to miss with the tall hats, scarfs, and all. He keeps playing the lute and just observing what they are doing. He spots all of his friends and makes sure that they all are aware of the new development. When he sees that the strangers are moving towards Nikoli, he quickly puts down the lute and picks up Slash.
Yorvalor straps Slash in front of him, steps out of the stage, and starts to play an edgier song that definitely grabs the attention of the crowd. He slowly makes his way to the stranger with the finer clothing. He looks at the person in the eyes, with a smirk, while playing a faster song with Slash. (Performance check: 18).
He approaches his target, holds the strings to stop the song, and bows slightly. “Greetings esteemed patrons of the Falcon’s Nest. It is such a wonderful night and it is still young. I love when we have new customers. Would you have a song in mind that I may have the pleasure to play for you?” (Persuasion check: 11).

Prior to these scarf-wearing guests arriving, Emund had situated himself at the bar counter, a few seats right of center, figuring that should people come to rob the Nest, they'd make a beeline for its staff. He had ordered a meat hand-pie, nibbled his way through a bit of its crust and spent some time straightening the silverware he'd been given, when they arrive.
He looks to them and then to his friends to try and gather what their plan of action might be. As with all things, Yorvalor was first to approach and Emund watches from afar as the man says his piece to the stranger. He brings himself to his feet and waddles over to the side wall, where his spear leans against the wall.
We have our own laws in this, our space, Broken God. So aid me in serving justice this eve. The silent prayer is met with no words, but a resounding sense of calm and assurance fills Emund as he waits for next steps.
Three of the members stop at Yorvalor. They listen to the performance for a little bit before the fine-clothed one begins to speak up. “Well! You’ve got some talent. I imagine you do well at a place like this and bring in some coin for th establishment.” The others kind of chuckle as they listen from their spots around the Falcon’s Nest. He does think for a moment. “Do you know the Isle Lady Fair” he asks. It’s not a common song. Not anymore at least. It used to be a bit of a love song, but since the war, began to turn into a song of mourning. Written by a previous Prince of Salair who was to never marry his lady - the country - due to birth order. A grim reflection of how some of the people feel now about the kingdom; to not be married to their home.
Cade watches the five of them. But with the still lingering crowd, and a few people walking infront of him as the gang members pass by, it’s difficult to get a solid look. They’re armed; daggers, a sword, a hand axe. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Keegan managed to position himself just right when they entered. And with a little bit of dumb luck, it seems that the patrons of the bar happened to be infront of Cade compared to being in his own sightlines. The one in finer clothing had a few rings and bits of jewelry on his hands. Combined with the faint outline of what’s probably a pistol hidden away... he’s definitely the leader, at least of this crew that walked in. He’s young. Maybe seventeen. Probably the kid of some noble that came and wasn’t able to make it out. A more common story than people want to admit now-a-days. Two of the five are definitely Half-Orcs. Not unusual to see; the most common races of the city being Human and now Noctis, followed by Half-Elves and Half-Orcs. Some kind of leather armor on under their garments for a bit of protection. Simple weapons, the best equipped would be a sword. Still, they can be a bit more difficult to put down. Another half-elf in the corner, a few daggers tucked away. The one who’s staying by the door is a bit different. A Tabaxi; faint outline of a short sword and a quiver of bolts for a crossbow faintly visible.
One thing is common between them; a pedal of a flower on their lapel. Some kind of orchid. There’s a rather lesser known gang that’s called the Orc-Kids. The pedal being a play on words of their group. They’re not big time; racketeering and protection money would be a bit of a new venture for a group that normally does petty crimes.

Cade sheaths his two swords. He yawns and stretches. Cade will try to get behind the gang undetected. (Stealth: 5). He looks at Yorvalor waiting for some sort of signal or sign to attack.
Yorvalor finds the group difficult to read. But once he starts playing, they listen for a very brief moment before continuing on their way. The rest of the crowd finds themselves entranced in the song, but still milling about.
Their leader, flank by one of the others, heads over towards the bar near Nikoli. Getting his attention as they seem to talk in hushed tones. Nikoli seemed to be ready for them, however. As he turns and begins to get that satchel from before he didn't want to give to the tax collector. A rather low key robbery. But still a group hustling someone for money.
Cade has a easy time getting into the crowd, but finds it impossible to get behind all of them. After all, two of them are together. While the remaining are scattered about the room, with one staying by the door with it's back to the wall. ((You can decide if you want to be near the Leader and his Lackey, or near any specific other person.))
Emund watches the silent exchange and looks back through the bar at the scarves robbers. He focuses on the Tabaxi by the door, knowing that they’re swift. With his index and middle fingers extended on his right hand, he extends his left and makes a circle motion over it, before tracing along his forearm and muttering a series of words. A glow gathers at his wrist and as his fingers move past it, a bolt of light flies outward (Guiding Bolt, ranged spell attack 9, damage 15).
”Shame you didn’t like his song, mate. Seems we’ve a different song and dance in this place!” Emund barks at the leader, moving towards him.
Yorvalor positions himself within distance, but away from the leader's friends. He slams on Slash's strings changing the tempo of the song he has been playing, and cast Hideous Laughter on the leader. He says "Nikoli, please step away from our esteemed patrons.
