(Ooc Aye, I. Not blaming Chad's player :) the dice are what they are. I've just gotten really lucky with my rolls ao far, and unfortunately on his spells he hasn't. I'll see what I can do about making my visible interior monologue a little more proactive? Instead of redactive? Not sure if those are the proper words but yeah )
I'm going to have to agree with Dyldor on this. This passive-aggressive "thought" chatter has come to a head for me.
I've played with players whos characters were jerks, but they knew to limit it toward NPC characters. They would have never killed a PC that had just entered the game and blame it on "what their character would do." That's a cop-out to just being a jerk in real life.
Also, calling out characters, in particular myself and Dyldor, constantly about their rolls is bad roleplaying in my opinion. Raiketsu did not take the earlier hint that his actions were being perceived as poor and has now continued. If this is the type of game you want to play, Raiketsu, you play that game. I am no longer going to be part of this one. Raiketsu has made this game less than fun by being a jerk to most of the group.
I do not come here to be ostracized by fellow players. I have other games that I run and play in that have none of these issues Raiketsu is creating.
I hate when people do this in games, but I am going to drop out. Sorry about that LukeHez92. You have done an awesome job and thanks for allowing me to be here for the short while.
Raiketsu, I honestly feel that you're bullying others and trying to pass it off as role-playing. I play D&D to have fun. Up until Zack tried to kill Shiv, I was having fun. Since then, the way you've been playing Zack has sucked the fun out of this game for me. I don't normally take things personally, but almost every post of yours since that incident has been rude or passive aggressively critical of another player. It's gotten to the point where it feels personal. Role-playing a character with a big personality is fine until it affects the enjoyment of others.
Perhaps I'm just not used to your play style. Regardless, it's just not for me. So, reluctantly, I too am going to back out of this game. I apologize to everyone and I hope you all have fun moving forward.
We have had a few issues along the way with this campaign. I feel as though it would be possible to continue from where we have left off and yesterday I was happy to try and give it a go. Having reflected on everything over the course of last night. I think I am going to have to pull the plug on this campaign, it’s going to be hard to have the party of 6 suddenly become 4 for story and combat reasons and I feel that people are all going to be feeling a bit uncomfortable and that they probably won’t be able to RP to the best of their ability in the way that they want to.
Its a great shame but I don’t think I’d quite feel the same about the game after all of this and if the DM is feeling that then it’s just going to reflect on the players. Thank you all for making this an enjoyable experience but also an educational one, I think I’ve picked up a lot of things that I can take to the table as a DM and a player and as for my first experience of PBP, I’m pretty happy with the way that most things went. Hopefully I’ll see you all on here in another campaign or two in the not so distant future.
I’m glad to have been given the opportunity to play with you all. Luke, you were an amazing and reliable dm, and I really don’t see that nowadays in pbp. I wish you all luck and hope to play with you all again one day :)
