Despite making harder work of it than necessary Wallis joins the others down underground, her darkvision letting her see a little further into the darkness than the torchlight allows the humans too. Between the party looking about the can see they are essentially in a wide tunnel gently sloping down away from them.
To their right (East) the wall closes quickly on them only ten feet away, on their left (West) the wall is irregular and between the light from the torches and Wallis' darkvision they can see two narrow tunnels moving swiftly into complete darkness, from her position Wallis can see the closer of the two seems to stop after about twenty feet, the other is currently too far away to investigate.
The floor is rocky, slightly uneven, but not treacherously so, and the tiny cracks in the ceiling do allow enough starlight through to create enough ambient light that the majority of the main "tunnel" is lit further on, starting about thirty feet away and continuing behind what Wallis can see is definitely an outcrop of rock behind which the path seems to continue.

Hearing Wallis cry out, Brock would toss his torch and catch her in his arms as she stumbled down into the hold. "Woah there... we don't need ya getting hurt" The man would say with a grin as he sets her on the ground and picks up his torch.
OOC: I was attempting to climb but I biffed it and just imagine sje slipped and did flying squirrel into Brocks arms.
"Thanks uhh the edge is really slippery," Wallis adds her cheek glowing scarlet as she fixes her clothing. "Wow eh," she then says peering around in tgd darkness.
OOC: So do drow exist here? Can I tell how recently tje cracks were made?

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
OOC drow don't exist, as far as anyone knows on this continent and the cracks have been here for decades but the settlement underground might be thousands of years old.

Brock would make his way down the main tunnel, Sticking his head into any of the small off shoots and waiving his torch inside long enough to see if there was anything immediately inside before continuing down the main tunnel. "Well... If we never find this guy... maybe we could just live down here... seems pretty nice" Brock would say with a grin as he looks for signs of lift or clues as to where Glandon might be hiding.
Brock's torch pushes back the darkness in the side tunnels but reveals nothing, both seem to end within 20 feet of their run, but as the pit fighter moves a little further down the main tunnel he gets a better view round the rocky obstruction ahead, he gets a glimpse of what seems to be another torch, round another curve about 30 feet further on. It is hard to tell from here, but Brock's eagle eyes do seem to detect the flicker of fire much as his own torch is producing. The route between them is still being slightly lit by the thin cracks in the roof of the tunnel where it meets the streets above. Brock focuses on the area in question and thinks he hears an exclamation, at the same time the light source, if that is what it is, seems to drop down lower, possibly to the ground.

"I think someone is over here." Brock would quickly say to the others before attempting to scamble towards the source of the light and noise. He would attempt to be as quiet as possible while moving quickly towards the noise.
Brock closes the distance, whilst not silently, he is pretty quiet. As he gets closer he can see it is definitely light from some sort of fire, probably a torch and it appears to be on the ground. He doesn't hear anything.

"Slippery... yeah, sure."Valen gives a slight chuckle and moves on. He glances to the sky and gives a silent thanks for the small bit of light that the stars provide, but still squints to see beyond the torchlight.
"Well, shall we go say hello?"he whispers back to Brock and follows behind.
Stealth as well, I suppose, though we're fully lit lol 20
Wallis doesn't notice anything behind her as they advance, the light from the torch mingles with the other light and as they near the corner they can see a torch lying on the floor, something in the movement must have alerted the owner of the torch as a figure is standing and turning as they come into view. The party see at the same time they are seen by a dark-skinned female with black hair in braids and kept out of her face. Wearing form-fitting leathers she moves easily as she turns towards the group who are all distracted from the woman by the scene behind her - the body of a human man is visible in the torchlight a knife sticking out from his back, a shock of red hair covers the face and the clothing is dark and drab and heavily bloodstained.
As the torchlight from both parties flicker a few seconds pass of complete silence....

"Hey, you don't happen to know if that guy over there was named Glandon do ya?" He would say as he points to the bloody body on the ground behind the woman. Brock would take a step forward and rotate his shoulders and roll his neck with a few loud pops and cracks before continuing. "We are looking for him... He has a big tatoo on his back... maybe you have seen him?" He would say as he continues to approach the woman.
Easily drawing a dagger from a sheath at her side, the woman gives you all a cautious look, grey eyes scanning you cooly. "He sure fits Glandon's description, but I haven't had a chance to check the tattoo yet," she says evenly, before adding with some ice in her voice, "So how about you stop playing hulking brute and explain a few things yourselves. Like why you're looking for Glandon, because I swear if Kyve hired somebody else to find this kid, I'm going to have issues with that pretty boy and his level of confidence." Her eyes move briefly to Wallis and Valen, sweeping across them and the darkness behind them momentarily before they return to the approaching Brock.
"I prefer to play the handsome beast... Although some may say that beast is an ass" He would say with a grin and a wink as he continues forward. He would make a point of showing the woman his open hands as he tried to move past her towards the corpse. "We were hired to find out what happened to Glandon... not by Kyve however... dead or alive doesn't matter much to me... If this IS Glandon it works out a little better for us."
Assuming he is able to do so without betting attacked, Brock would move around the woman and make his way to the corpse. Once there he would pull the blade from his back and use it to cut open the mans shirt to see if there is a tattoo before inspecting the weapon.
Valen, holding his sword before him, looks down his sharp nose to the body. "Oh, my," he says catiously circling around the other side from Brock, keeping one eye on the woman. "Hmm... We offered our servics to Kyve, but he figured he had it handled. Well I guess our client will be happier about this outcome, despite the sadness it may cause."
The woman relaxes ever so slightly, dagger lowering as she moves back to let Brock by, leaning against the wall as she watches the group start to examine the body. "And who's your client?"
"A concerned father... worried about what happened to his daughter's shitty boyfriend" He would say as he inspects the knife and body without looking up to the woman. "If this is Glandon, he will be pleased to hear of this outcome... If we had found Glandon alive... well... we still would have gotten paid but he wouldn't have been as happy. Now his daughter on the other hand might have liked him alive... but then again... it sounds like this guy may have been running around on her behind her back" He would say glancing up to the woman before searching the pockets of the body. "The name's Brock by the way... If you are from around these parts you have probably seen me fight... I am kind of a big deal in the pit fighting scene around here... If you play your cards right... I might even give you an autograph" He would say with a shitty smile.
The woman raises her eyebrow, looking singularly unimpressed from her spot by the wall, which happens to also let her watch all three of you. "I'm Lila. And I've never heard of you in my life...Brock. This guy have the tattoo?"
"Brock..." Wallis yells as he hurls himself into the darkness.
Wallis then attempts to join him.
