"I... I just figured splitting up was the best idea! They couldn't presue all of us," Wallis replies wide-eyed and out of breath. "I've never..." She pauses then lowers her voice as Simon peeks out from behind her braid and good, "drawn a weapon on a city watch before," she adds frowning. "Those guards had no honor," she adds frowning.

"Splitting up is good, when you've got a meeting place established," Lila explains. "Otherwise it's a good way to lose yourself in the city." She gives the other woman a brief smile. "I know a couple spots we can hide out if we need, unless you know a spot they might meet at? You know the other two a lot better than me." She sighs. "And yeah...the guards here aren't like stories, or possibly how they are in smaller towns. They don't care about the people," she says softly, hand going to a spot on her midsection. "Just about who pays them."
Lila nods, giving Wallis a reassuring smile. "Then let's check those spots-we can stop by the house on the way to the Cracks." She tugs her hood up a bit and sets off towards the house, checking to see if Wallis is following.
Lila checks the house to see if the others are there.
Assuming they aren't (and the DM doesn't want to engage us there), she continues to the crack. "I really hope those idiots didn't get caught," she mumbles.
Lila takes care as they move, being more knowledgeable about the area, and both Wallis and her arrive quickly at the crack they have been down before. They find Valen and Brock there already and the party are reassembled. Both groups have heard a lot of whistles but the noise has stopped now, taking time to have a short rest while they discuss what to do next the party are ready to move somewhere (or wait longer underground), it is late morning.

Vhon - Level 2 Warlock - What shall become of the Drunken Sailor?
"Hey Ms. Change-her-face!" Brock would shout back as he stands up and points at his chest. "I was standing up for my people!" Brock would pause for a bit and pace back and forth in the crack. "Yeah, I am an ass hole and far from being a "Good" guy... But even I am not going to stand by while those guys kill hardworking people just trying to get by... At least not without a fight" He would say spitting on the ground. "By the way... I didn't KILL anyone..." He would say glaring.. "I could have taken those guys, and sure I stuck a couple darts in that pompous cleric but I didn't kill him!" Brock would say pointing to Lila. Brock would move to one of the stone walls and slam his fist into it. "Any time I try to do the "RIGHT" Think I get ****ed!" he would shout before slouching against the cold stone and holding his now bleeding hand up against his forehead. "Sorry... Lila I know you were just trying to help.. you all were... and I screwed everything up again..."
Lila glares right back. "Yeah, I change my face. If you want to talk about that, we can have a conversation about it all you want-after. All you've done is made sure the patrols will be increased, along with brutality. And yeah, I killed him, pulling your ass out of the fire, by the way-if you're going to get into a fight with the guard here, at least make sure nobody's alive to give your face." She rubs her own forehead. "I know you were trying to do the right thing, to help," she says tiredly to Brock. "I just...going up against the Watch never works out, okay? They're heartless bastards who outnumber and outweapon us, and they don't care who gets hurt or why people are doing things." She wraps her arms around her stomach. "Or who they're killing."
"Nothing will ever change unless people stand up for themselves.. " Brock would say looking to Lila. "It doesn't matter if it is a guard, or a king, a drunk ass dad..." He would pause for a moment and look to the ground because looking back to Lila. " It doesn't matter who you are because if you push people around for too long someone is going to stand up and put you in your place." Brock would finish as he pulls himself back up to his feet. "Now I wasn't trying to start a revolution or anything.. and I don't plan to go hunting for guards... but I am not going to stand by while they kill us." He would say before looking down to his hand, opening and closing his fist. After a few seconds he would look back to her. "So you can change your face too hu? Like Valen here? He would ask with a small tilt of his head towards his blond haired friend. "Or do you have a different way? is the face we see now your real face?" He would ask stepping closer to Lila. Not in any kind of threatening way.. but more of a curious manner as he clutches his fist in his other hand as he tries to stop the bleeding.
Lila shifts her feet as Brock comes closer, looking uncomfortable. "Not...exactly like Valen," she says hesitantly. "It's not magic, just...what I am." She holds out her hand, the skin color momentarily lightening to Brock's skin tone before it returns to her prior dark color. "And no...this isn't my real face. Just a persona I created about a year ago." She bites her lip. "Lila was useful-I can't use any of my old contacts anymore, so her unsympathetic, all-business attitude helped me make more connections. She's kind of...callous though, I guess. But like I said, useful as a new primary persona." She blinks. "Uh, sorry. Slipped into family talk there. A persona is a character I create with a given appearance-they usually have a unique personality and set of skills, even way of thinking. A primary persona is the face I show most of the world. Lila's my current primary persona, as of about a year ago."
Brock would hold out his hand and poke Lila's hand where the color of the skin had changed as he leans in close to her hand to give it a closer look. "So.. if Lila is one of these. per-son-uhs... then what or who... is the real you? What do you look like without the per-sow-nuhs?" He would ask, no longer paying attention to he bleeding hand.
Lila takes a deep breath, then slowly shifts into her true form. Her true form has white skin the color of paper, and hair the same color. Her eyes are a simple, piercing green that eye Brock and the others cautiously. Slowly, her hair begins to take on a light green tint as she holds her hand out as if to shake. "Yeah, um...hi. I'm Kit. It's nice to meet you all properly."
Brock would look at her wide eyed, taking everything in. Before he could lift a hand to return the handshake he would start laughing... Laughing harder than any of you have seen in a very long time. After a few moments of laughter, he would wipe his eyes with the back of his bloody hand, leaving red streaks along his face before taking Kits hand and giving it a firm shake. "It is good to meet you Kit" He would say before laughing a bit more. "Sorry... I just think it is funny.. Here you are.. a good looking woman changing your appearance to look more plain to fit in with the crowd... and then you have my buddy here trying to change his ugly mug every chance he can to stick out and make himself better looking" He would say with a wide grin as he slaps Valen across the shoulder.
Kit gives Brock a fleeting smile and turns her gaze on Wallis and Valen, biting her lip nervously and balanced so she can take off in any direction if needed.
"Wow....." Wallis replies looking both fascinated and impressed by Kit's reveal. "I....thank you for trusting us with this," she gestures at Kit. "I...I'm a half elf and I get stared at too often. I can't imagine...," she adds. Then looking to Brock. "You couldn't fix those who made trouble for good folk back home! What's different about here? It's ten times the size you big lug," she adds punching his arm softly. "You can't fight people with no honor. You have to overpower them and...well you might have gained the upper hand that second but not for long," she adds frowning. "It was a good thing but...next time let's try not to fight in the street," she says softly. "Where to now," she asks next eyeing the party.
Valen adjusts himself after the jostling from Brock's slap. "Well, then. I guess I'm not so unique in my talents," Valen says behind a false hurtful look. He adds then with a more genuine tone, "Your secret is safe with me, Lila. We do what we need to do to survive... or have fun," the smirk returns.
Kit nods at Valen, giving him a faint smile. "Thank you. Although it's been too long since I used my abilities for just some fun. Now," She turns to Wallis. "Seeing as we've managed to avoid getting arrested or killed by the Watch, we should have a halfway decent chance of moving around the city. Personally, I'm a bit curious about why the Treasure burned down, but we can do whatever-I'm not particularly fixated on a course of action."
