"Honestly it all comes back to the Oilers and Kyve," Wallis replies with a curt nod. "It was just too much of a consequence....I mean right," she asks the group.

"Well let's go visit Kyve then" Brock would say as he stretches his arms above his head, prompting his back to crack in a few places. "We got no where else to be and they aren't fans of the guards so we shouldn't have to worry about any problems with them"
"Why are we going back to the man who's so obviously a criminal," Wallis exclaims. "I...I am not a criminal. I think we should leave this horrible place altogether and find good honest work elsewhere," she adds insistently.

Kit frowns, climbing out of the crack without accepting Brock's hand. "He might know what's going on. And I don't care to be running around town with no clue as to what's up...it makes me nervous."
Kit grins, and her skin begins to darken again, shadow creeping through her hair and her appearance shifting until she's back to Lila's appearance. As she does so, her grin fades somewhat, leaving a more serious look. "Right, thanks. Lila's a bit more...well, like I said, harsh, than I am normally, but I'll do my best not to let her affect how I am with you guys when there's nobody else around."
(OOC: Thanks Wreck, lol. Totally forgot about that)
(OOC: Lol no problem. Also I hope I am doing a good job of conveying that Brock doesn't know how to pronounce persona and still doesn't really know what that means :P)
"I am having trouble coming up with any other alternatives at the moment,"Valen says to Wallis. Looking to the other two, "There are unsavory elements everywhere that we turn, so one is good as another. And one that has proven that they are willing to pay for our type of services seems to be the best option at the moment..."As he makes this comment he recalls their encounter with an individual seeming. "However, what do we know of those that roam these 'cracks'?"
Kit shrugs. "Welcome to Dzenda," she tells Wallis simply, her eyes a little sad. "Can't avoid the shady people, but you can try and keep the good people you know safe from the darkness." She gives the half-elf a wry smile. "Although I understand your sentiment."
"I think him and his crew won't hesitate to dispatch us the same way as Segan and Meril," Wallis chimes back in. "How do we even know they're alive," she then asks looking concerned.

"I think you're right," Kit agrees with Wallis cheerfully. "They won't hesitate at all. But at least we're going in with our eyes open, rather than getting jumped from around a corner."
"If they wanted to do anything, they had the the perfect opportunity when we in their accommodations." Valen picks up his his pace to follow behind the others.
The Burning Castle is quiet, as is the small square in front of it. People move around as afternoon heads towards early evening, the group clamber out of the Crack near the tattoo parlour see nothing untoward and make their way into the tavern. Inside there is no evidence that anything is amiss, the staff are finished clearing away an lunch orders adn the tavern is still quiet before the presumed arrival of people looking for a night's diversion. The fires are still unlit and so the place is darker than when they previously visited although it is still bright outside, a few lamps providing all the illumination.
Brock leads the way to the bar, the server he spoke with yesterday seems not to be on shift and nobody else seems familiar. Only one man, half asleep by his ale props up the bar, and the barman nods in acknowledgement as they approach. Out of the corner of her eye Lila sees somebody lean back from the balcony area above and the group feel eyes upon them but nothing hostile happens.
"Can I help you, a drink, or is your business upstairs?" the barman asks in a neutral tone, as he places a glass back up above the bar on a shelf. the group see every conceivable alcoholic beverage displayed behind him, including some which Valen can attest to being fairly expensive without being out of the range of the common person. Wallis, cautious in the tavern looks back in time to see a lone man enter behind them and beckon to a server as he sits at a table nearby one of the unlit fires.

Brock would look to the barkeep and rub his chin before leaning on to the counter. "Well.. I wouldn't mind a mead I suppose." Brock would say as he places the coin on the counter with his bandaged hand. "It was a rough night last night... you see.. the place we were staying burnt to the ground.. So now we got no jobs and no place to stay" The man would say as he locked eyes with the barkeep

Kit nods. "That sounds good to me. We gotta be careful, though. Don't want to imply he's at fault for anything, or he might get...tetchy."

Brock would nod to Kit."To the burning castle it is!" he would say with a Grin as he looks to the changeling. "Make sure you turn on your purrsownah."

"I'll take a fight with shadow hounds over shady people any day," the ranger grumbles as she walks beside Valen glaring at Kit and Brock from behind.
