Fire in my lungs, the blood isn't red The things I could do, if you only knew You'd pray that I cut you loose I feel it all the time, crawling up my spine I was calm and composed, now you won't let it go I told you to leave it alone Chimera, chimera
The only way I see it, you got one chance to be there Had it under control, now you won't let it go I told you to leave it alone Chimera, chimera (yeah) Chimera, chimera
Then he shivers and his appearance returns to something more normal. "Maybe we should get an early start today and get away from this place as quickly as possible."
Talien:"These creatures do not exist in any form on my home-world to my knowledge. How would a baby like this be made? Someone please explain to me how these chimeras are created."
Shake's skin tone has returned to normal and Talien's remark makes me laugh a bit, "Although seeing one of those creatures in the waking world would make for an amazing tale, I think that I would prefer not to. That said, Talien, if you could tame one of those beasts then I think I could write you a song that would make your name live beyond eternity."
Talien: "I would like to live beyond eternity Shake, or at least longer than my master. Now I think you are right. My sensors still detect those noises. Perhaps we might meet the creature in person if we stick around here much longer. I do not wish to see you all burned. I have no flesh to burn, but you all have a lot for the thing."

Grom will finally wake up, hearing everyone talking about the same dream he had.

Rees was quiet, not unfamiliar with nightmares but this was...not the usual kind. She felt as though she'd actually run the distance and been burned. "I think we should go."
Wait, Talien, you said you don't sleep. Are we sure we were actually dreaming?
Mentally
Eldenser, did you experience something or sense anything?
Talien:"Well, I didn't see or hear anything in camp. (Looking down) There are no tracks and you are clearly not burnt or dead Alten. Something came over me though, some sort of vision and it was what you all shared.. I don't know what else to call it but a dream."
Eldenser: "Urrghhh... why do you disturb me at such an hour? No, I was meditating."

You remember reading an obscure piece of literature on The Crags regarding some legendary creature that is supposed to guard a circle of stone with strange runes carved into them. You're not sure if the story is true, or if it is just something the barbarians tell their children around the fire at night... but it goes like this:
If you find yourself wandering the Crags and you hear a cacophony of voices, it is highly recommended that you run as fast as you can. Those voices likely belong to Gnostro, a three-headed chimera that considers the entirety of the Crags its hunting grounds. Each head takes on the appearance of a different animal and has its own ability.
The owl head lets out a bone-chilling hoot that reverberates throughout time, allowing Gnostro to glimpse the future movements of its prey. The howls and snarls of the wolf head bring forth fire that can melt even mithiral. The whinnies and snorts of the horse head are said to contain the power to heal any wound. Anyone able to get close enough to test it has been torn to shreds by the other two heads.
"I've heard tales and stories of this animal we have all seemed to have this "dream" about. But never seen one so vividly, or what felt soo real... My skin is still hard to the touch.... "
"I think we all need to try and finish our rest and get up tomorrow and continue on."
"I think we should get as far away from here, as fast as possible," Shake says. "But if you guys wish to go back to sleep I will not leave you behind. I will take watch with Rees."
I suspect traveling at night in a rugged land like this and being exhausted tomorrow might be more dangerous than finishing our rest here. But it’s a gamble either way.

"Fiction is the lie through which we tell the truth." A Camus
As you all try to go back to sleep the night is filled with the sounds of the monster making it quite hard to fall asleep. It does not approach the camp, but seems to be dogging or goading your little band. Morning rises and promises a warm day ahead. As you break your fast you realize the road you are following leads right under the ridge where the noises came from the previous night...
DM NOTE:
Do you plan on continue on the path? OR Do you want to leave it and try to skirt the ridge?

Well, that was terrifying. Got to say, I'm not a big fan of these vivid dreams that I've fallen into since I met you lot.

Assuming we all realize that it was a shared dream/experience.
Anybody have an idea for what it means or what it was? Cause, I've got nothing.
I don't think I've heard of a creature with owl, wolf, and horse. Chimeras are usually goat, lion, and dragon.

Magic. They aren't natural creatures.
I don't remember the legend. Something about a pissed off demon.

Talien: "I should like one of them as a pet. A small one.. maybe a squirrel, a monkey, and a rabbit head. Or a cat, a dog, and a fish."
