{[Does Tooltip Not Found = Kobolds. I can't make the DC currently, so I'm not going to bother.}
Yes, it was supposed to say Kobolds, fixed it in the last post. Sorry I thought plural versions of monsters were supposed to work with the tags, I guess not all of them do.
Arxius focuses on the throne as she approaches it, studying the Kobolds before her. Again she wonders what she has gotten everyone in to. "My name is Arxius," she says. "My companions and I have come to seek the aid of Yusdrayl on our journey. And, in turn, offer our assistance in the retrieval of your Calcryx."
The kobold sitting on the throne raises a brow and looks you up and down with her keen reptilian eyes. She replies with an air of superiority in common, “Very well Arxius. I am Yusdrayl and I am curious as to what you know of our Calcryx. I should warn you though.. I find this all very suspicious. Please do be forthcoming with the answers you provide.”
Yusdrayl‘s voice is somewhat charming and she has a reptilian, yet cat like way about her.
"I know that Calcryx was taken from you by Goblins and the importance of it to your people. We are adventurers already on a path to seek lost items for others. That is how we came across Meepo and he told us what transpired. We offered to help him restore Calcryx to your people and he brought us to you."
Yusdrayl scratches her chin with a clawed finger as if contemplating her next words, “Indeed. Kobolds are heir to dragons. As the mightiest among my people, I have led a brave few to this ancient holy site, where dragons were worshiped long ago. But, Meepo has lost our idol and has lost my good grace for it. If you were to return Calcryx, I would owe you a great debt adventurer. I am prepared to aid you in this venture.. within reason. I know things about this fortress and I have may have items to aid you. What would you have of me?”
Arxius realises they haven't properly discussed this, beyond a map. But if she turns back to the group she is concerned she will look less confident in this negotiation. "May I first ask, the nature of that key above you? We came across a locked door with a dragon head that required a key. I am curious if that is one in the same?"

"May I first ask, the nature of that key above you? We came across a locked door with a dragon head that required a key. I am curious if that is one in the same?"
“This key?” Yusdrayl asks as she reaches up and removes the silver key from the mouth of the carved dragon. “It does belong to the dragon door. You may have it if you believe it will help you find Calcryx. If we come to terms that is.”
Talien says to the leader, Meepo said you have a prisoner, can I talk to them and find some information about the Calcryx and other items they have taken?
(I so badly wanted to not add the information about other items, but Talien does not understand lying) :(
"That would be very generous of you," Arxius says, smiling for the first time. "We would like a map of the area as well as any information you could give us. There are many tales told of the Citadel, your aid would be very welcome and obviously help ensure we can find these items - as well as your Calcryx - and return them as swiftly as possible."

“We have already interrogated our prisoners. They were of no use other than confirming they took Calcryx to the other side of the citadel beyond our territory. What other items do you speak of? Maybe I can help with this?”

“A map... hmmm..” Yusdrayl says as she taps a fingered claw on the edge of her throne, “Do you mean this thing we found? And what do you mean tales? Speak plainly, or be more specific. I don’t have all day to give you a history lesson.”

A hammer belonging to a blacksmith, something to do with a plant, apple I think you call it, and also a wand. Talien replies. I know nothing of the tails, and I am not sure what an extra limb has to do with anything. It must be something of specific importance from this realm.

"That would certainly be-" she pauses as she looks at the map. A little stunned by the magnitude of it. "Unbelievably helpful. The tales are of travelers and those living in nearby villages venturing into the Citadel and not returning, two children most recently that we are hoping to find." She thinks about the blights and the dear they found in the woods and wonders if she should bring that up also.
Do you believe that the Goblins still have Calcyx in the Citadel? Do you know where they would keep it or would they take it out? Perhaps sell or trade it?
You said that the Goblins took Calcyx beyond your territory. I presume that means that part of this Citadel is your territory and part of it it Goblin territory? Do others besides Goblins and Kobolds hold territory in the Citadel? Does your map show these territories?

Flicking her own tail around Yusdrayl says with a wry toothy smile, “Common is not my first tongue, but I don’t believe you are speaking of appendages. Although a tail is a magnificent thing to have.. though wings if I were to possess wings...” She sighs, “I digress. The apple as you say likely refers to the fruit that The Outcast grows below this level of the fortress. Those thieving goblins are his servants!” She roars as her scales seemingly grow a darker shade of red.
After, a moment she seems to calm and continues, “The twig blights are pets of the Outcast as well. They are more numerous below, in the Twilight Grove. As for these other items... I know nothing of a hammer. Children, maybe... assuming you are referring to children of men... our scouts observed a party of adventurers similar to yours a month back. They went to fight the goblins and never returned.”
”Goblins have not been seen leaving the Citadel with Calcryx that much I am sure. I am not sure where our idol is being held. We have yet to explore the whole citadel properly as we have been slowly reclaiming it from the goblins and The Outcast. I can mark the territory we have reclaimed on this map. As I said, we found this... so, cannot account for its accuracy. Though it has been quite useful so far it is more important that Calcryx is returned to us.”
”Now, you have a map.. you can take this key in the name of reclaiming more territory for us... and...” She motions to a table behind her throne, “You may choose three items from here as payment in advance for returning Calcryx to us. Know though, my patience grows thin. Choose quickly.”
Looking at the table you see some sort of stone token with a feather carved on it, three scrolls, and a small flask.
Also, do you have some token or banner that we may take with us, so your Kobold tribe will know we are not enemies? I have no wish to kill indiscriminately. But if we are attacked, I will not risk our lives to spare an enemy.
Also, we humbly request the opportunity to speak to your prisoners. They may be able to provide us with information relevant to recovering Calcryx or information that can assist us with our other tasks. For example, you have no reason to ask them anything about any human prisoners the Goblins might have recently taken.

"Very well. Meepo will be your escort and guide -- consider him this token you ask for. He has the passwords necessary to identify you as friends. However, Meepo has already been disgraced in my eyes. If you do anything I do not like I will have no problem holding him accountable for your actions."
Yusdrayl leans forward and looks venomously at Meepo, "I do not want to see you again unless you have Calcryx in your possession. Is that clear?"
Meepo bows his head in submission and shamefully replies, "Y-y-yes Yusdrayl. Meepo.. Meepo no come back without Calcryx."
Grom will approach the table and inspect the scrolls first and then the other items..
Grom you unroll each of the spell scrolls. In doing so you reveal that they each bear the words of a single spell, written in some sort of mystical cipher. As a wizard you recognize each of the words as mage armor, spider climb, and knock. You cannot immediately tell what the token is, or what is inside the flask and surmise that you would need time to work your arts on the items to discover their true nature.

Yusdrayl looks at you with surprise and responds as if she is annoyed by the question, “Calcryx is the clan’s idol. An avatar of our sacred deity.”
