Nice... You manage to rip away the vines after they strike you and prevent them from coiling around you.
Meepo sees your in trouble and makes his way 15 ft forward, he licks his lips, cocks an eye, and fires a bolt at the nearest vine blight..

Meepos bolt narrowly misses you and the blight. You hear a whoosh as the bolt flies by your ear and lands somewhere in the distance with a thwack.

Grom rings out the rag talien threw him rubbing off as much Iron Dust he can... he rubs it between his fingers gives it a slight sniff.. "Ja, ja, das wird gut funktionieren."
Grom will jam his axe into the ground, Cup the dust in his hand and whisper some words into his hands, and then an arch of Arcane energy streaks out of his ax into his hand and then he cocks and says outloud "Amplifico!" as he hurls the ball of arcane energy at Talien.
Grom will cast Enlarge/Reduce on Talien
Grom will then gather his ax & seek cover any with in 30ft.

A whining-grating like screaming noise fills the room as Talien's metal body stretches out and doubles in size. The plant monsters look up at the big friendly giant as he now towers over them.
Shake is up!
Shake eyes the now giant Talien with awe. "I've got to get myself one of these automated machine people. They are spectacular."
Then he pulls himself back to reality and fires an arrow at the Vine Blight Talien already injured.

More sap sprays out of the vine blight as your arrow crashes into its tangled mass. It looks like its weeping heavily now, but it's still standing.

Rees moves into range (still can't get the map to load, but wherever she'd have a good shot at the blight constricting Alten) and fires an arrow at the vine blight holding Alten, silently requesting the Traveler to guide the arrow so she doesn't accidentally hit her friend.

I escaped the grapple. Is the creature actually in melee with me or did I understand that the thing could grapple from a distance by "putting its roots down" - basically an AoE grapple? The real question is if I'm going to take an AoO if I back away?

Talien’s new form proves to be a bit distracting and your arrow flies wide. (The Travler is not accepting calls right now, please leave a message after the tone.)
The creatures have an AoE that requires a recharge (will roll when they’re up) and an attack that would allow them an AoO. Their attack range is 10 feet, so you are within their melee range and will provoke AoO unless you disengage.
OOC: That's cool. I just wanted clarification on positioning of the two(?) that are up against me.
Alten knowing he's hurt, realizes he can't take much more. He casts Shield of Faith as a bonus action. He tries to cleave the Vine Blight that has taken the brunt of the damage with the Glaive. Attack: 22 Damage: 12

Enlarge. The target's size doubles in all dimensions, and its weight is multiplied by eight. This growth increases its size by one category-- from Medium to Large, for example. If there isn't enough room for the target to double its size, the creature or object attains the maximum possible size in the space available. Until the spell ends, the target also has advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws. The target's weapons also grow to match its new size. While these weapons are enlarged, the target's attacks with them deal 1d4 extra damage.

If I survive this, I'm sure Talien will love to clean you up real good. Actually, it probably doesn't matter whether I survive. If it survives, I'm sure it will take you and clean you.

I always take care of my weapons. You'll get cleaned unless I get killed. Actually, it should probably be - you'll get cleaned as long as Talien doesn't get killed. I'm sure it would love to clean you, even if I'm dead.

Taliens additional damage for being enlarged. 2
Talien scans the battlefield as the shrieking of metal and some begins. His perception begins to change as he becomes higher above the enemies. His body continues to shriek as he now towers over his enemies. Ass the sounds of him expanding stop it is replaced with the sound of Taliens voice now booming as he starts to laugh even at he takes damage.
